 The intelligence of the fool

You sit down on the birch bench and then suddenly a girl, no older than 15, sits right next to you

You sat in silence for four minutes, exactly 4 minutes

Then she speaks

“May I provide some exposition?”

Of course you can’t say no to some complete stranger offering exposition like you’re the chosen one. Come what may! 

“Have you ever heard of the matrix? That cinematic masterpiece?”

You’re inclined to say yes because you’ve seen the movie

“I’m asking you because there is a girl out there with two hearts

One red. Creativity, imagination, The little boy, the part of you that wants chocolate ice cream

One sky blue. analysis, innovation,The elderly lady, the part of you that orders the vegetarian option”

you’re starting to see the parallels

“Wait a minute aren’t you the girl from the anime the melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya?”

“Bingo”
