I’m still preparing my belongings. If everything goes smoothly, I should be there with you within five days of sending this letter. By the time you read it, I will probably already be on my way to the station. My love, please do not be too excited. Let that longing be fulfilled the next morning, when I am lying beside you.

The letter arrived sooner than usual. I know you would not want me to waste money sending this, but I insisted on making sure it reached your warm hands as quickly as possible. I only hope it finds you in time. I miss you terribly. I am saddened that you are not yet here with me, and yet I am comforted by the thought that in just a few days, you will be by my side again. I cannot help but dream of our future. Please come and hold me as you always have.
