“-YOU ABSOLUTELY STUPID PIECE OF SHIT-“
“IF YOU THINK I’M SO FULL OF SHI* YOU CAN FU** RIGHT OUT THIS RESTAURANT-“
“I DEMAND A REFUND FROM YOU BOGANS!-“
“WELL WE CAN’T GIVE REFUNDS TO GREEDY DUNDERHEADS WHO CAN’T EVEN ASK FOR REFUNDS CORRECTLY-“
Nicole rolled her eyes at the sight. It was the best sitcom she’s ever watched. The service was getting too good nowadays, something was bound to happen eventually.
She watched as Terry stepped in between of Trick and the man, trying his best to calm the latter down. Although, the man just kept shouting and yelling through him, Trick only raised more remarks, professionally of course.
Brad was also there trying to deescalate the entire situation with his smooth talking to the man’s distressed wife, who was visibly frustrated with her husband’s constant racket.
Bridgette was off today, so she was stuck with Aaron, who watched the entire situation looking worried.
“I don’t know Nicole, shouldn’t we go help or something? I feel kinda bad.”
“Are you kidding? And end this whole reality show? No way, I’d rather quit on the spot. Plus it wasn’t even your fault, no need to get all upset about it.”
“I mean, it’s getting too rowdy..the other guests might complain..”
“And since when did you care about the guests?”
“Since my first day here!”
“Lame,”
Thankfully today was a relatively slow day, with only the husband and wife in. Even with all the attention on them, they still found a way to complain. That’s minimum wage jobs for you. Hooray.
This entire thing started over a misunderstanding. The wife had ordered Santa Fe chicken. Which, shocker, there was no Santa Fe chicken, even though it was literally posted on the entrance door as a special. Instead of the wife being upset, her husband was pissed off and started muttering insults below his breath about the server, who at the time was Trick. Trick being Trick followed back, but he tried to recommend a different meal for the wife and once they were settled, everything seemed just fine.
Now, the husband had ordered a cheeseburger. He got the cheeseburger , he ate the cheeseburger. Then he proceeded to call down a server(Aaron) and decided to chew him the f*** off for getting him the cheeseburger even though Aaron wasn’t even the one taking the order nor did he bring it to him. The man’s claim was, and get this; he wanted a vegan burger. He demanded a refund even though Aaron had apologized profusely for something he didn’t even take part of, and once it gotten violent, Trick and Terry got involved.
Which led them to this situation.
The man was literally shoving Terry trying to get to Trick, who only fueled the flames.
Nicole suddenly felt some respect for Terry, even with all his nonsense with treating the guest just right, he wasn’t afraid to defend his workers against one.
At this point, everyone including the chefs were watching the entire thing unfold. Nico made unwanted commentary while Pickles winced at every hit Terry took from the man. Brad was trying to apprehend the man from the back but was largely unsuccessful.
“Wait if you guys are here, where’s Joey?”
“Oh he’s just taking a smoke break dude, with no other customers, we’ve been stocking items nonstop, then we heard some commotion upfront and decided to check it out,”
“Well, that checks it-.”
They both turned their head back to the scene from a sudden loud crash. The crazy man had gotten out of Brad’s grip and apparently punched Terry off to the side, causing him to crash into the tables.
He was now approaching Trick, his wife wailing in the background. Nicole wants to strangle them.
“Oh my god, Terry!”
“Omg, omg, omg-"
"Woah Terry dude! "
They all, save for Pickles, immediately ran to Terry, Nico kneeling down to check if he was alright while Aaron and Nicole joined Brad.
"-IF YOU THINK YOU'RE SO BETTER, THEN COME ONE UP ME LIKE I DID YOUR PETTY MANAGER HUH?"
"DON'T YOU FU*KING COME NEAR ME YOU FAT FU**!"
"WHAT? ARE YOU A F*****G PUSSY NOW? NOT SO BRAVE ANYMORE AFTER I PUNTED YOUR BOSS HUH?"
"GET THE FU** OUT THE RESTAURANT BEFORE WE CALL THE POLICE ON YOU-"
"YOU WOULDN'T F****** DARE-"
Trick dodged a right hook from the man who instead tried to shove him into the tables behind. Grabbing ahold of the man, he attempted to twist his arms behind his back, instincts rocking in a brutal situation. However, the man was bigger and managed to escape Trick's grasp. The second he grabbed ahold an empty decorative wine bottle from a table, Trick immediately released the man. He calmly backed away from him, though the man approached as menacingly.
"You still wanna call the police on me?"
The man's voice echoed around the room.
"I could kill you right now, huh? I can slice your face like butter, I can do all that huh?"
"Sir, please calm down-"
"SHUT IT!"
He pointed the bottle at Brad, who warily held his hands up.
He then turned back to Trick, who looked visibly pale, his eyes pointly on the bottle.
"I tried to be nice and what did I get? MORE TROUBLE FOR MY ACTIONS!"
The man screamed in Trick's face, who simply glared at him.
Nicole felt sweat rolling down her forehead. The entire situation has gone berserk. Terry was entirely knocked unconscious but he didn't look to have any major injuries. She glanced at Aaron who looked back at Nicole.
Things were getting overboard. There was an insane man in the restaurant threatening to kill their colleague, and now their manager was knocked out. Brad didn't try anymore attempts to approach the man, but they watched as he discreetly told Amber, who was in shock and hiding behind the counter, to call 911.
The man somehow got a hold of a butterknife and was now twirling it around his fingers like a drumstick.
Trick pressed himself close against the wall. This wasn't the first time he'd gotten in a situation like this, but it's been so long. He was almost getting used to a more peaceful life, no violence whatsoever. He knew what he was getting into when he took the interview. It's just that..
The bottle.
He could only stare as the frankly bad-smelling barbarian raised the bottle
in his hands.
He instantly shut his eyes, hands instinctively coming up as his last resort of defense.
Then. Nothing.
For a moment, Trick thought the man was hesitating. He warily opened his eyes to find himself staring at netted hair and a stained chef uniform. Rough, scarred hands grasping the man's wrist. Almost tight enough to break.
"I'm so sorry for interrupting this peaceful moment." Joey sarcastically drawled.
Before shoving the man backwards and beating the absolute hell out of him.
Trick stared at the scene before Amber gently pulled him away to the other side of the room.
By then Terry had woken up and immediately started fussing over the messed up tables("You just got beaten into unconsciousness and you only care about your tables?? Unbelievable")
He checked up on Trick and thanked the others for their help before making his way outside as sirens started to approach the restaurant.
The man's face was incredibly bloody, it was such a gruesome sight. (Nicole hoped Joey would punch harder.)
And so the authorities took over the scene and at least two officers had to keep ahold of the man who all but tried to lunged towards Joey.
"That's right, you don't get to beat my son up over some lame burger, you f**ker"
He wiped the blood off his face, completely unaware of the front desk absolutely swooning over the rugged look.
The police apprehended the man, and his wife. After a short talk with Terry, they drove off.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was tense, silent after the day they just had. Terry didn't seem to have any injuries but promised he'd see a doctor just to make sure he didn't get brain damage from the impact.
The restaurant was back to normal, and Nicole couldn't wait to tell Bridgette about today.
And if Nicole happen to see Joey fussing over an embarrassed Trick? Well, no she didn't.
