Ralsei:Hmph!
Ralsei: Waaaaa-!
Ralsei: Oof!
Ralsei: (I stuck the landing, but then I lost my balance and fell over. So embarrassing.)
Ralsei: (At least there’s no one around to see….)
Ralsei: (And I’m glad these flowers were here too, so my trinket wasn’t broken.)
(He stands up and brushes off the dirt.)
Ralsei: (Alright, I’m finally here! And I’ve got no time to waste!)
Ralsei: (I better start looking.)
(He glances around.)
Ralsei: (Well, there’s nothing here.)
Ralsei: (I guess I have to go further in.)
Ralsei: (In the cavern…..with the dangerous lightners….)
Ralsei: (I-I’ll be okay! I just have to stay strong and keep moving!)
Ralsei: (Hopefully this won’t take too long.)
(He walks into the next room.)
(A Flowey-sized doll that looks like Chara is standing in the middle of the room.)
Ralsei: (Hmm, I don’t sense anything in here.)
Ralsei: (But I wonder what that big doll is doing here? Is it some sort of lightner thing?)
(He walks closer to get a better look.)
Chara: Greetings.
Ralsei: Aaahh!
Ralsei: S-sorry, you scared me.
Ralsei: (That scared the living daylights out of me! Why is there a talking doll?)
Chara: My name is Chara.
Ralsei: Nice to meet you Chara. I’m Ralsei.
Chara: You’re a darkner, aren’t you?
Chara: We don’t get many of your kind around here.
Ralsei: (Oh no, they know! What should I do?)
Ralsei: (Do I lie and try to hide it or do I tell the truth?)
Chara: Don’t bother trying to hide it, I know you are.
Chara: But I’m not going to attack you or anything.
Ralsei: Y-you’re not?
Ralsei: Oh, thank you!
Chara: In fact, I’m going to teach you how things work around here.
(Battle start.)
Ralsei: (Yikes! What is this?)
Chara: This is a battle. Of course, this is just a fake one, but I figure you should learn by doing.
Chara: See that floating red heart? That’s your soul.
Ralsei: (My soul? I’ve heard that before. I should try to get more info.)
Ralsei: Um, what IS a soul, exactly?
Chara: ….
Chara: That heart. That’s your soul. I just said that.
Ralsei: Ah, no I mean-
Ralsei: ….nevermind.
Ralsei: (I guess they don’t know what it is. Maybe I can find out more about it somewhere else.)
Chara: Anyway, you can move your soul around-
Ralsei: Cool!
Chara (annoyed at being interrupted again): …do you want to be strong?
Ralsei: Strong?
Chara: Yeah, lightners will attack you down here. You’re gonna want a strong soul.
Ralsei: (Yes, and maybe if my soul gets stronger, then it will help me get better too!)
Ralsei: How do I get stronger?
Chara: Here, I’ll give you a little power to start off with.
(Bullets appear.)
Chara: Run into these. They’re powerups, and will make you strong.
Chara: Don’t worry, they won’t hurt.
Ralsei: Oh, okay!
(Ralsei runs his soul into the bullets and dies instantly.)
(Ralsei opens his eyes back in the first room.)
Ralsei: (Wha…What the..?!)
Ralsei: (Did I just….)
Ralsei: (Huh.)
Ralsei: (I think I just died.)
Ralsei: (I mean, I assumed I could come back from the dead, but I never actually died.)
Ralsei: (That’s….interesting.)
Ralsei: (I guess I died so fast it didn’t hurt.)
Ralsei: (Or maybe I can’t feel pain. Probably the former.)
Ralsei: (I think I have to pass through that room again.)
Ralsei: (This time I won’t fall for their tricks.)
(He walks into the next room again.)
Chara: Greetings, Ralsei.
Ralsei: Huh? How do you know who I am?
Ralsei: (That should be impossible. I went back in time, to a time we haven’t met. They shouldn’t remember me.)
Chara: Are you the one that did that?
Ralsei: …..
Ralsei: (What do I do? Should I play dumb?)
Chara: ….That expression says it all.
Chara: Pretty impressive, traveling back in time even though you died.
Chara: I don’t know how you got my power, but I’m not affected by your ‘reset amnesia’.
Chara: So don’t think for a second that means I won’t be able to get that soul.
Chara: But I guess for now, I’ll leave you be.
Chara: I’ll just be watching you from the shadows, planning my next move.
(Chara walks into the shadows.)
Chara: Watch your back.
