Work Text:

You're never going to be a hero, no. You'll always be a victim. And the worst thing about it is that the only thing you can do about it is agree with the ones calling you useless.

Izuku thought as he made his way up the final step of the stairs.

The air was breezy, which made him feel free. He wasn't free yet, but he could get to it. There was no point in rushing things out.

The first thing he took off was his jacket.

He carelessly threw it on the ground behind him.

Then, he took off his shoes and put them on the edge he liked.

And he stood on that edge for a little while longer.

Is this how All Might felt when patroling the city of its dangers? This… free? As if he could do anything he desired? As if the fate of lifes was at the very palm of his hand? Did he feel that way every time he stood at the edge of the roof?

He could laugh at how it could never be him. He didn't.

What he did do was come closer to the edge.

And just as he was about to be free, just as he was about to fly and achieve his dreams, a sudden grab enveloped his shoulder, pushing him backwards.

Falling, he hit his head on the cold roof.

"What. The hell. Do you think you're doing?" asked Bakugo, his voice carrying an amount of anger that words alone couldn't describe.

Izuku looked up at his savior, his eyes widening in horror. All of the unspoken words he wanted to say turned into a mere tremble of his lips with no coherent sound coming out.

Bakugo yanked his collar upwards, holding him up in the air, and stepped forward. Just enough for Izuku's feet to dangle over the edge.

"ANSWER ME, YOU IDIOT!" Yelled Bakugo, swinging Izuku over the edge of the building, the building he was supposed to fall from on his own terms.

Bakugo's grip shifted; now, he held him with just one arm. The other one hovered right over his head, threatening violence.

Izuku stared, his eyes as wide as before.

As innocent as before.

Not as hopeful as before.

"I SAID," he punched his nose, "ANSWER ME!" tears escaped his eyes as blood spilled from Izuku's nose.

And yet, he still didn't hold to anything. Not even to Bakugou's hand as his body was so close to falling.

It disgusted him, he thought as he wiped his pathetic tears.

He pushed him off till he fell on the cold floor of the roof, like a rag doll. A lifeless, useless rag doll.

"If I ever see you doing this idiocy again… you're gonna god damn die, you nerd." he clenched his fist, looking away. "You're hearing right? I'll kill ya."

Still on the floor, Izuku smiled. It was almost pathetic, wasn't it?

"I'm not gonna stop you, Bakugo."

Also, sorry for mistakes; it's midnight, and I'm very sleepy. Not only that, but English isn't my first language.

I'll fix it tomorrow, though, so sorry for the temporary mistakes, and I hope you enjoyed!

EDIT: I fixed the mistakes<3
