Hello, thanks for reading. I'll keep this short and sweet so you don't lose your interest in this work.
This Fanfic is about France and UK (duh) and the wars and the losses they had to fight. Without spoiling much I can confidently say that this is a slowburn. Sex happens often, But real love is scary. Especially for two political figures who have been at each other's throat's for centuries.
In this AU, Countryhumans are known by the humans. However, they are not kings or queens. They might be mentioned as "Your Majesty" or "Your Highness" but that is because they are a very high noble class citizen. They have some power when it comes to the country they are personified as, as you will see later France abolishes a Monarchy! (That's not a spoiled, look at the IRL French revolution!)
The countryhumans have names, some I made up, Some are from hetalia (this isn't hetalia, I ONLY stole the names). They all used to be human, although older countryhumans have started to forget their past human lives.
Important names:
UK= Arthur (Stolen from his father, England)
France = Francis
USA = Alexander (Because Alfred sounds too English)
Russia = Ivan (Stolen from his father, USSR)
Canada = Matthew
Ukraine = Katyusha
Germany= Luca (Bc Ludwig felt too Nordic)
Poland = Alice
They are all Semi-Immortal. Unless the country falls in the human world they do not die, they can get sick, they can be hurt, but they can't be killed unless it is by the force that killed them in the human world. Like if France fell to UK in the human world, UK could kill France in the countryhuman world (does that make sense)
Random shit in this AU
- Germany (Modern day) is the son of Third reich
- USSR is Modern day Russia's dad
- You will not see much of third reich because i hate the holocaust but think it is important to at least mention
- Napoleonic France was France's "Emo Phase"
- most of these countries have daddy issues, mostly because of dictatorships
- A country grows physically stronger if it's territory/military/economic state grows. So UK in the 1920s was extremely strong (The peak of the British Empire)
- some countries hate their real names, others don't really care, some reserve it for friends and family
- France and UK are so old that only Italy, China and some Scandinavian countries remember when they were kids.
- Countryhumans age differently. If a country is falling then they age much faster, if a countryhuman's country is thriving then they stop aging entirely. They become adults (like 20 years old-ish) when it is their time to reign. This is how Several of the European and Asian countries that are old as hell look like they are in their mid-thirties (UK, France, China, Italy ect...)
-there have only ever been 2 generations of Egypt, The Egyptian empire who dies before this book takes place, and the current one who is one of, if not the oldest, countryhumans still alive
I am trying to be as historically accurate as possible, I am the son of historian, I will try my best! There will be some historical inaccuracies that I know of now. Dialog is one of them, as much as I love old bible language I will not be using it in their dialog when they speak. Just use ur imagination for that one okay? I promise it will be okay. That being said there are going to be some historical inaccuracies that I just do not catch, I am not an all-knowing master of the British empire, I'm probably gonna mess it up! Just let me know in the comments and I might edit the chapter! With that being said, along on the topic of mistakes, I have no proof reader. I want one badly but I'm not exactly able to get my hands on one yet. Meaning that When I publish smth, it will most likely have grammar and spelling errors. I hope you all can forgive me for these sins.
