Chapter Text
In heavy silence a dark melodic voice said “This is your choice to make. What do you say? Do you agree to this arrangement?”
With resigned eyes, he looked up at the speaker and, with sadness leaking into his voice, asked, “Do I really have a choice?”
“You can always choose to stay. Maybe in death your life will be kinder than going back,” the speaker replied, his tone soft touched with understanding.
Percy then thought about everything that had happened to him—every single person he had lost, every good and bad memory—and made his choice.
“Yes,” he said quietly but with determination flowing through his mind . “I agree to go back.”
The answer didn't surprise the being
“Very well,” the voice answered. “From now on, you are no longer Percy Jackson. You must remember that. For your motivation, remember this: if you succeed, you’ll save more than one life — more than you could ever imagine. Now I will leave you to your mission of saving the world. The fates will decide if we shall have a talk again”
With those final words of goodbye the young demigod knew no more.
