Forgive

Summary:

Only God is the one that can feel, and if you ever develope feeling for another seraph, your memories are going to be erased, want it or not.

You're too weak to have them.

-------
Seraph AU. In which a Seraph escaped God's kingdom because the rule "Only God can have feeling" seemed too stupid for him. Another followed him and... WELL basically they want the seraph to go back "home" and get his memories erased to live in peace again, but he messed up, and the other too, and now things are like this.
(Better explanation when history advances. Maybe will be discontinued. Sorry.)

Notes:

This was an idea I was trying to release months before but since my life was in much shit I couldn't even make a descent draw. Finally finished first chapter! Pray to Marth's goddess Naga to have next ones! And I don't really know how to put links correctly but ok.

Enjoy!

Chapter Text

The night was upon them. Some of the candelabrum were on, the flames on the candles moved slightly. The only person in this temple was on her knees, the light barely illuminating her covered form. With a rosary glittering under those flames, she moved from bead to bead, whispering her prayers that echoed in the grand place.

‘’Hail Mary full of grace…’’

Every people in the village where on their houses, hiding, crying, praying for protection.

‘’Blessed is the fruit of thy womb…’’

The girl looked up to the big crucifix in front of her, green eyes full of feelings shined as the rosary.

‘’Jesus.’’

Away from there, a group of soldiers protected the entrance to the city, as well other soldiers up on the walls with bows prepared and fear forming in their chests, like every night since three months ago.

‘’Holy Mary, Mother of God…’’

A terrified scream could be heard in one of the houses at the border of the village, but no one dared to come out and see what was happening. They knew what was… but sadly nobody wants to be part of it. The person screaming was a little girl, and apparently her mother.

‘’PLEASE LEAVE HER, SHE’S JUST A GIRL! I BEG YOU! FORGIVE HER!’’

Pray for us sinners.

Blood covered the marble floor of the humble home, and the mother fell on her knees, crying over the dead body of her daughter and her husband who tried to protect them.

Now and then at the hour of our death.

The woman closed her damp eyes, and her sobs died down slowly, it was her turn. She was going to see her family again in other place, in a happier one. A last smile for this world was on her quivering dry lips.

‘’Amen.’’

A new thick red tear descended down, following the already marked path on the praying girl’s face.

These creatures made their move again.

The candles on the temple had been blowed off, and one of the grand doors opened. The guards in there looked at the form coming out.

With a great black and red dress the girl was arranged, but the cape on her shoulders and the hood covering her head shadowed her features, however, the moon light betrayed her and showed them the bloody trail of tears in her face.

‘’My lady…’’ one of the guards approached concerned.

‘’God will hear us eventually, he… does this for a reason.’’

‘’My Lady would you need something?’’ He tried again.

‘’I’m fine, Crowley. Let’s go back to the city. Thanks for protecting me on this night again. May God always be with you.’’ The girl passed the guard, and this bowed at her, lifting his face a little, he looked how she was being helped to get back in the carriage.

This is getting out of hands.

Her hands.

‘’So…’’ the purple haired boy with red eyes started, licking the tip of his fingers coated with blood from the dead little girl on the floor. ‘’neither here is what we are searching.’’

A guy with black hair in front of him denied. His bored expression made the other boy sigh, but soon a smile was back on his features.

‘’Cheer up! Her blood it’s good, such a waste I made… if only you just don’t get grossed out by having some like this…’’ he said tracing his fingers on his lips before suggestively taking his tongue out to brush the pad of his fingers slowly on it, his eyes never leaving his friend’s, which made a grossed out face and pass besides him out the door. That made Lacus laugh at Rene’s sensibility about ‘’eating manners’’. Despite his façade, Rene was pretty collected, and the way Lacus acted always pulled a nerve on him, just never snapped. And he never will.

‘’This search is useless, that girl must be a hide-and-seek champion, it’s been two years and we still don’t have any signals of her. The Queen never explained us correctly why is all of this, for me is like a waste of time, don’t you think?’’

‘’Is not like we run out of time.’’

‘’Yeah, duh! But that person we are searching for is just a human, what if she’s dead already?’’ Lacus snickered ‘’Saying that made me imagine the queen’s reaction…’’ they both trembled. Their Queen wraith wasn’t something nice to feel.

‘’Then we better hurry.’’

‘’Hurry on what? I told you, we don’t know much about this oh-so-desired human.’’

‘’Gender girl, around her teens, lives on a house…’’

‘’…You’re better than this Rene.’’

The black-haired vampire raised an eyebrow, looking at the careless Lacus, who shaken his hand in front of his face in a ‘forget it’ manner. They both were strangely tired, but their mission wasn’t finished, so they wandered around a little more. As Rene said, they weren’t running out of time.

Back again inside the capital’s walls, the cardinal Luxera keeps looking down at her rosary that was hanging around her neck. With her tears already dry on her face, Crowley keeps looking at her with concern. His Lady was crying more blood these past days, and that was the signal that poor lives had been taken by those monsters. Vampires.

The King had been so filled with fear and reclaims of his people that he didn’t know what to do. At first, he had leaved the problem at the hand of his general, they did everything they could, and what they thought that will stop those beasts. Typical myths about vampires hating garlic, crucifixes and holy water were put on the plan to stop them, but of course, it didn’t work.

Soon the Sancta Sedes took upon the matter and they claimed that they knew a way to make the king’s problem go away, this of course made King Tenri’s attention to look at their way. Tenri Hiiragi was never interested in holy matters, and never will, for he the only one that ruled upon the world was the human race, the stronger ones, as anyone could see, not the elves, not the faeries, not the sirens, not the angels, not the gods, and definitely not the vampires. Humans were the one. But he won’t dismiss a chance to take those bloodsuckers down for what they were doing.

As the reunion between Monarchy and the Catholic Church advanced, the Pope Gales told King Tenri that they had a special kid that has direct contact with god, and that she might bless his kingdom and give a peaceful life to them, Tenri wasn’t at all interested in this, it must be just another way to get money, he knew how the people in that circus acted.

The first rejection of their ‘’plan’’ was taken in a good way by the Sancta Sedes, so they retreated for a time. After a week and half, they reappeared, seeing the King distress getting bigger they offered to make a ‘’trial’’ of what they said, and even with all the disorder happening, maddened, the King rejected them again. This time making the Sancta Sedes grow enraged at the ignorance of the king.

A Month passed and that was the final straw for the King, the Catholic church didn’t say a word after their last encounter, so that meant that Tenri has to go to them, and that’s how happened.

The Pope Gales was so happy to see the King coming to their territory, because that was the signal that he waited for. Tenri talked about the ‘’war’’ with the vampires and how it was getting worse, and that he accepted the plan, whatever they wanted he would give it to them, the Pope said that he didn’t had anything especial in mind, but that he wanted to leave it as a favor that one day he might take back from the King itself, Hiiragi accepted, and the whole ‘’Kingdom salvation’’ started.

Gales called for the Cardinals, and they made their wait to the saint throne, in the middle of them, covered with veils and long clothes, a little figures walked towards the front, while the others bowed and chanted a few prayers.

The most beautiful pair of vivid green eyes looked up, and removed her black veil to show a beautiful face, almost sculpted by god. Rosy lips and little nose, soft skin and black as night hair. Tenri almost got down of his knees at the sight of the little girl. Giles greeted the very first female Cardinal.

Luxera, the god’s message was the way they addressed her. She was capable of talking directly to God almighty. The ultimate tool of these Catholics.

Tenri was indeed impressed.

‘’My Lady wouldn’t be better if you clean those stains? Let me help you please.’’ searching in his pocked, he took out a handkerchief and moved to sit beside his lady, grabbing her chin to move it towards his face in order to start cleaning. The girl had her eyes closed, trying to stop her crystalline tears. It was always like this. After a good time of trying to connect with god, and not having answer, the only signal that showed them that they were doing something bad was her red tears, making her feel all the pain, all the fear.

Once finished, Crowley had gifted to her lady a sweet smile when she finally opened her beautiful eyes. Luxera smiled back and soon she hugged her bodyguard, squeezing him and cuddling against the broad chest of the male, the redhead caressed her hair and whispered some encouragement words to her.

‘’He doesn’t talk to me anymore Crowley, I’m scared, I was the only—‘’

‘’My lady do not get desperate, I assure you that every will come out fine, we must be missing something out, but I swear, for your salvation and of the people, I will always search with you the reason. So please, don’t ever think you’re alone.’’

After a good moment of only listening the horse walking on the stones of the street, she nodded and made herself comfortable on Crowley’s arms. She was so tired of all this, she wanted to rest in peace, to be a normal kid who just had to work, go to school, have friends to play with… the only one who always made him company was Crowley, and he was happy about it.

‘’Yuuichirou, we are getting close.’’ He said softly still caressing the back of the cross-dressed boy.

‘’Geez, don’t call me like that when I’m like this. Loses its purpose.’’ The pout on Yuu’s voice was clear, but nonetheless he sat correctly again. Leaving Crowley to fix him.

‘’I must say that my days at the castle are really…’’

‘’I know.’’ The redhead’s words were muffled by the thin hair brush in his mouth, he was making Yuu’s hair to look presentable, after all their work still hadn’t ended. They needed to report everything that had happened during their mission outside to the king and his court. Taking the brush way from his mouth, he keep happily combing the black soft hair. ‘’I’ve never seen you so carefree in a place like that, I could almost follow you all the way to the kitchen without you noticing.’’ A smug smile appeared on his lips and Yuu only groaned, looking to a side, definitely not wanting to meet the man’s smile.

‘’You jerk…’’

‘’If god could heard you right now.’’

‘’Oh shut up. He didn’t give a fuck about what I was saying an hour ago, I don’t think he would listen me now.’’

‘’My, my, those aren’t words for a lady.’’

As the carriage came to a stop, Crowley leaved the comb back on the little box they had inside and moved towards the door. Finally out, he extended his hand to Luxera, who delicately descended to bow at the guards who were there to receive her.

‘’Thanks once more for you hard work, gentlemens, may god be always with you.’’ The melodious voice made all the guards to have goosebumps on their skin and only saludated back, the girl giggled and that was the signal to their hearths to explode in happiness, of course they didn’t show it.

Once far away from them, Yuu sighed and heard Crowley’s laugh behind him.

‘’Whatever, let’s just get over with it…’’

Amane Yuuichirou, 16 years old, orphan, has a secret identity with the name of Luxera, Cardinal in the Sancta Sedes, the tool of the sinners, the salvation of the innocents, the god’s message…

‘’The only way I can feel love.’’ Blue obsidians were looking up at the sky, his expression with a tinge of melancholy made everyone doubt the fact that he was a vampire. His blonde hair shone like silver under the moonlight, giving him some angelical aura.

‘’Mika.’’

The voice made the blonde snap back to the reality, and his expression automatically changed to a bored one.

‘’What is it Krul?’’

‘’You have a call of Lacus and Rene.’’

‘’They found out something?’’

The pink haired girl only shrugged lifting up her hands, at this Mika groaned and made himself fall from the high glassless window of the abandoned church he was in, falling with elegance that even his mother whistled.

‘’Look at my son, so beautiful, I am so proud of myself.’’ Any modesty could be heard from the vampire girl.

‘’Why should you be ‘’proud’’ of yourself?’’

‘’Oh, isn’t it obvious? I gave you birth Mika!’’ Krul happily jumped towards his son, grabbing his hands to spin around a little. ‘’You’re such a happiness killer.’’ She pouted childish, even when she was like 3.000 years old.

‘’Come on, is not time to play.’’ Releasing himself from the hold, he fixed his clothes and grabbed his phone from the pocket of his suit, dialing Rene to talk personally. Signaling to Krul that he was going out, his mother only nodded dismissing him, soon the vampire queen was the only one in the lonely church.

‘’Oh Mikaela. I hope that you can find what you’re searching.’’

Turning around Krul looked up at the window, smiling at the sky, all this thing was only starting.

She had a debt to pay to an Angel.
