Chapter 1: 3 Girls at a Weird Airbnb in Romania, Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Character Profiles:
Ashley Monroe is a 24-year-old white woman with long blonde hair that she typically wears in a ponytail. Her blue eyes complement her fit, toned physique—the result of her regular yoga and running routine rather than intense gym workouts. As a personal trainer and part-time wellness blog content creator, Ashley embodies the health-conscious lifestyle she promotes. Her personality is predominantly friendly and extroverted, though she has a tendency to mask problems with toxic positivity. While she genuinely tries to see the good in everyone, this optimism sometimes blinds her to red flags. Beneath her sunny exterior lies a subtle narcissistic streak; she relies on her looks to navigate life more often than she would admit and struggles with emotional depth. Ashley's quirks include her religious consumption of protein shakes regardless of her health condition and her aversion to silence—her space is perpetually filled with music or podcast chatter.

Marissa Laroux, also 24, is an American Canadian with medium-length dark brown hair that she usually wears loose. Her brown eyes and soft, plump figure with large breasts contrast with Ashley's more athletic build. Working as a freelance illustrator and comic artist, Marissa brings a creative perspective to the group. She's an empathetic, quiet observer whose sharp, self-deprecating sense of humor often catches people by surprise, especially those who underestimate her. When provoked, however, she can become notably cold. Marissa struggles with body image issues that significantly influence her self-perception, and as a passionate feminist, she frequently engages in lengthy discussions about inequality. Her quirky habits include constant snacking even during conversations, collecting enamel pins, and sleeping with a nightlight that she claims is for ambiance rather than fear.

Hana Kim completes the trio of 24-year-olds. Of Korean descent, she sports a sleek, tidy black bob that frames her narrow, observant dark brown eyes. Her petite stature makes her slightly shorter than her friends. Currently pursuing a graduate degree in law at a prestigious university, Hana approaches life with analytical precision and logical thinking. Though introverted, her high intelligence is immediately apparent. Coming from a wealthy family, she exhibits traits typical of a privileged upbringing—she's somewhat spoiled and accustomed to achieving her goals through financial advantage or intellectual prowess. Hana's distinctive habits include consuming black coffee in quantities others might reserve for water, fidgeting with her earlobe during deep contemplation, and maintaining a morning ritual of recording and analyzing her dreams according to Jungian theory.

Chapter 1

It was supposed to be a quiet escape—three girls, a rented car, and a weekend deep in the Carpathian Mountains. Ashley found the listing while they were still in Bucharest: "Château Strigoi – Authentic 19th Century Manor, Entire Property to Yourself." The name was cheesy, but the photos looked unreal. Grand staircases, arched windows, antique furniture. All for the price of a shoebox hotel room? Sold.
The drive took five hours, most of it through winding forest roads that kept losing signal. When they finally arrived, the mansion rose out of the mist like something from a gothic novel—tall, imposing, stone walls aged but untouched. No host in sight. Just a heavy wooden door with a rusted combo lock. Ashley keyed in the code from the Airbnb confirmation, and the lock clicked open with a satisfying clunk.
Inside, it was warm. Impossibly warm. Not just not-cold—welcoming. The air smelled faintly of wood polish and something floral. Every room was spotless. The kitchen was stocked. Beds made. No dust. No spiderwebs. Just... stillness.
At first, they were thrilled. "We have a literal castle to ourselves," Ashley said, spinning in the main hall. But then the silence stretched too long. Too deep. The size of the place stopped feeling luxurious and started feeling off. Hana locked the door behind them without saying a word.
Still, they leaned into it. Laughed it off. They uncorked one of the bottles of wine left on the counter—no label, no cork seal—and started cooking. Marissa chopped vegetables. Hana stirred the pot. Ashley danced around with her phone, narrating everything like it was a reality show. Half an hour in, the wine was hitting. The kitchen smelled like garlic and onions. The tension faded into giggles.
Outside, the fog rolled down from the hills. Inside, the girls toasted each other in the flickering kitchen light.
The dining room enveloped them in aged opulence—a massive oak table that could seat twenty now intimate with just the three of them clustered at one end.
"To us," Ashley declared, raising her third glass of the unlabeled wine. Its color was deeper than any cabernet she'd seen before—almost black in the candlelight. "For surviving another semester without completely losing our minds."
Marissa clinked glasses, the wine sloshing dangerously close to the rim. "Speak for yourself," she murmured, her cheeks flushed. The alcohol had loosened something in her usually guarded posture. She leaned back in the ornate chair, her soft curves no longer hidden by her typical defensive slouch. "I think I left my sanity somewhere between page forty and sixty of my last commission."
Hana's analytical gaze swept over the room for the dozenth time, cataloging details even as she sipped. "This place doesn't make sense," she said, not for the first time. "The economics don't add up. A property like this should cost thousands per night." She ran her finger along the rim of her glass, producing a haunting tone that lingered in the air. "And where's the caretaker? Someone has to maintain all this."
Ashley rolled her eyes, the motion slightly exaggerated by the wine. "Can you just enjoy something without dissecting it for once? It's a steal. We got lucky." She stabbed at the last piece of roasted potato on her plate. "Besides, it's off-season. Middle of nowhere. They're probably just happy to have anyone."
The food had been exceptional—simple ingredients that somehow tasted more vivid than they should have. The potatoes crispier, the herbs more fragrant, the meat... Marissa paused, fork halfway to her mouth. "Did either of you notice what kind of meat this is? It's not chicken. Not pork either."
"Lamb, maybe?" Ashley suggested, though her voice lacked conviction. "Whatever it is, it's amazing." She reached for the bottle, finding it empty. "Huh. Didn't realize we killed it already."
"There's more in the cellar," Hana said, her words slightly slurred. She never could hold her alcohol well—a fact that usually kept her drinking minimally. Tonight, however, she'd matched the others glass for glass. "I saw the door when we were exploring. Behind the kitchen."
Marissa's fingers drummed against the table, leaving small smudges in the polish. "Should we really be drinking random unmarked wine from a creepy basement in the middle of nowhere? Isn't that, like, Horror Movie 101?"
Ashley was already standing, steadying herself against the table. "It's just homemade. Probably from local vineyards. Europeans do that all the time." She flashed her practiced Instagram smile. "Besides, we're paying for the full experience, right? Authentic château living."
The warmth of the room seemed to intensify, making their skin flush and their thoughts blur at the edges. The candles flickered in a draft none of them felt. Outside, the darkness pressed against the windows like a living thing, the forest and mountains completely swallowed by the night.
"One more bottle," Hana agreed, surprising herself with her own eagerness. The wine had quieted the constant analytical voice in her head—the one that had been screaming that something about this place was fundamentally wrong since they'd arrived. Now that voice was just a whisper, easily ignored beneath the pleasant humming in her veins.
Marissa watched Ashley sway slightly as she headed for the kitchen, her blonde ponytail catching the light. She turned to Hana, lowering her voice. "Is it just me, or does this place feel like it's... watching us?"
Hana's fingers stopped their nervous fidgeting with her earlobe. "Don't be ridiculous," she said.

Ashley returned with not one but two bottles of the unmarked wine, her steps unsteady but purposeful. "Jackpot," she announced, setting them on the table with a heavy thud. "There's like a hundred more down there. And guys—the cellar is insane. Like, medieval torture chamber vibes, but make it luxury."
Hana's eyes widened slightly. "You went down there alone?"
"It's just a wine cellar," Ashley laughed, though something in her expression flickered. "Though I swear I heard... never mind. More wine?"
As she refilled their glasses, Marissa leaned forward, elbows on the table. "We should explore this place properly. I mean, when are we ever going to stay in an actual château again?"
"Now you're talking," Ashley grinned, the alcohol dissolving her earlier fatigue from the drive. "Ghost tour time!"
Hana hesitated, then downed her glass in one go. "Fine. But we stay together."
They abandoned the dishes—something none of them would normally do—and moved through the central hall, wine bottles in hand. The mansion's west wing stretched before them, a long corridor lined with closed doors and illuminated by electric sconces that somehow managed to maintain the flickering quality of real flames.
"The electricity works perfectly," Hana noted, running her fingers along the pristine wallpaper. "And everything's so... clean."
"Maybe they renovated recently?" Ashley suggested, though the architecture—the intricate crown molding, the hand-carved banisters, the inlaid parquet floors—all appeared authentically Austro-Hungarian, yet in a state of preservation that defied logic.
"If they renovated, they did an incredible job keeping it period-accurate," Marissa murmured, her artist's eye catching details the others missed. "Look at these doorknobs—they're original brass fixtures. You can't just buy these at Home Depot."
They pushed open doors as they went, discovering rooms more suited to a museum than a rental property: a music room with a perfectly tuned grand piano; a smoking room with leather chairs and a fully stocked humidor; a library with thousands of leather-bound volumes in multiple languages.
"This is ridiculous," Hana said, pulling a book from a shelf and examining its spine. "First editions. All of them. This collection is worth millions."
Ashley, losing interest in the books, wandered back to the hallway. "Hey, check out these paintings! They're like, super realistic."
The corridor was indeed a gallery of sorts, with oil paintings in ornate gilt frames spaced evenly along both walls. Unlike the typical faded aristocratic portraits one might expect, these were vibrant, almost photographic in their detail—and disturbing in their subject matter.
"These are... intense," Marissa said, moving from one to the next. Men and women in various scenes of power and submission, rendered with unsettling precision. Not explicitly sexual, but charged with an energy that made her cheeks flush beyond what the wine had already done.
She stopped before a particularly large painting that dominated the wall. Unlike the others, this one depicted a dungeon scene—stone walls, iron implements hanging from racks, and a tall man in period clothing holding a whip. His face was angular, aristocratic, with a cruel smile that seemed to follow her as she moved. In the shadowy background, she could make out what looked like figures in cages.
"Guys, this is messed up," she called out, but her voice sounded muffled in the corridor. She turned to find herself alone—Ashley and Hana had continued down the hall, their voices fading around a corner.
"Wait up!" Marissa called, but found herself unable to look away from the painting. The man's eyes seemed to glitter with actual light, and the longer she stared, the more details emerged in the background. Those weren't just figures in cages—they were women, their expressions captured in exquisite detail: fear, resignation, and something else she couldn't name.
"This can't be that old," she whispered to herself, leaning closer. The paint looked wet, glistening under the sconce light. "The technique is too modern, too—"
The man in the painting winked.
Marissa jerked back, wine sloshing from her glass onto the floor. "What the fuck?" she breathed, blinking hard.
When she looked again, the man was smiling directly at her—not the three-quarter profile pose he'd been in before, but facing forward, his eyes locked on hers. His lips moved, forming words she couldn't hear.
"Ashley? Hana?" she called, her voice cracking. But they were gone, the sound of their laughter distant and distorted.
Something compelled her to reach out, to touch the frame—ornate gold, carved with symbols she didn't recognize. Her fingertips brushed the cool metal.
The surface of the painting rippled like water. Before she could pull away, she was falling into the painting. Marissa screamed as she fell, tumbling into open space.
She hit cold stone floor, her glass shattering beside her, wine spreading like blood across the gray flagstones. Disoriented, she pushed herself up on scraped palms, the air around her damp and heavy with the smell of rust and fear.
The crack of leather against stone made her flinch. Slowly, she raised her head.
Polished boots stood inches from her face. Her gaze traveled upward—wool trousers, a brocade waistcoat, and finally, the same cruel face from the painting, now looming above her in three dimensions. In his hand, a whip unfurled like a living thing.
"Welcome to Château Strigoi, Miss Laroux," he said, his accent thick but his English perfect. "I've been waiting for someone with your... particular sensibilities."
The whip cracked again, closer this time, the sound echoing off stone walls that were no longer painted but terrifyingly real.

Marissa's mind reeled as she struggled to process what had just happened. The cold stone beneath her palms was real—too real—the pain from her scraped skin anchoring her to this impossible place. Wine from her shattered glass soaked into her jeans as she pushed herself to her knees.
"What the fuck is this?" she gasped, her voice echoing in the cavernous space. "Where am I? How did I—"
"Such vulgar language from such a refined-looking woman," the man interrupted, clicking his tongue in disapproval. He circled her slowly, the leather of his whip dragging across the floor with a whisper. "Though I suppose modern women have forgotten their manners."
Marissa scrambled to her feet, backing away until her shoulders hit a damp stone wall. The dungeon was exactly as it had appeared in the painting—iron implements hanging from the walls, wooden devices whose purposes she didn't want to contemplate, and yes—in the shadows beyond, she could make out the outlines of cages.
"This isn't real," she said, more to herself than to him. "I'm hallucinating. It was the wine. Unmarked bottles—stupid, so stupid—"
The man laughed, a sound devoid of warmth. "I assure you, Miss Laroux, this is quite real. The wine merely... thins the veil, shall we say? Makes it easier for those with the right sensibilities to cross over."
A chill ran through her. "How do you know my name?"
He stepped closer, close enough that she could smell him—sandalwood and something metallic. "I know many things about you, Marissa. Your fears. Your secret thoughts. The ones you push away in daylight but that visit you in dreams." His eyes, gray as winter ice, studied her face. "I am Baron Nikolai Strigoi, and you are in the dungeons of my estate—your new home."
"My friends will be looking for me," Marissa said, trying to keep her voice steady. "They'll notice I'm missing."
"Will they?" The Baron smiled. "Time moves differently here. And your friends are... occupied with their own journeys through my home."
Panic surged through her. "What did you do to them?"
"Nothing they don't secretly desire," he replied cryptically. "But we're not discussing them. We're discussing you, my newest acquisition."
The word hit her like a physical blow. "Acquisition? I'm not a fucking painting you can just—"
"But you are," he cut in, his voice hardening. "You crossed the threshold willingly. You touched the frame. The contract is binding."
Marissa's eyes darted around the room, searching for an exit. A heavy wooden door stood at the far end of the chamber. Without thinking, she bolted toward it, her feet slipping on the damp stone.
The Baron made no move to stop her, watching with amused detachment as she reached the door and clawed at the iron latch. It was massive—designed for a different era, when doors were meant to keep people in, not merely separate rooms. She pulled with all her strength, but it didn't budge.
"It requires a key," the Baron said conversationally. "One that hangs around my neck."
Marissa spun around, her back pressed against the door. "Let me out. Now. This isn't funny."
"It isn't meant to be humorous," he agreed, approaching her with unhurried steps. "It's meant to be transformative."
Before she could react, his hand shot out, fingers tangling in her dark brown hair. With a sharp tug, he yanked her away from the door, sending her stumbling backward into the center of the room. Pain bloomed across her scalp, tears springing to her eyes.
"What the hell!" she cried out, one hand reaching up to protect her hair from another grab.
The Baron circled her again, his posture relaxed but his eyes predatory. "Your first lesson begins now. Remove your clothes."
Marissa froze, certain she had misheard. "What?"
"Your clothing. Remove it." His voice was matter-of-fact, as if he'd asked her to pass the salt. "All of it."
"No," she said, wrapping her arms around herself. "Absolutely not. You're insane."
The Baron sighed, as if disappointed by her predictable response. With a flick of his wrist, the whip in his hand uncoiled fully. Another flick, and it cracked in the air beside her ear, the sound so close and sharp that Marissa yelped.
"That was a demonstration," he said calmly. "The next will not miss. I dislike repeating myself, Miss Laroux. Remove your clothes."
Marissa's mind raced, searching for options. The door was locked. The room contained no windows, no other exits she could see. The Baron stood between her and the only potential weapons—the implements on the wall.
"My friends will hear me if I scream," she threatened, though her voice wavered.
"By all means, try," he invited, gesturing expansively with his free hand.
Drawing a deep breath, Marissa screamed—a full-throated cry for help that should have carried through any normal building. But the sound seemed to die in the air, absorbed by the stone walls as if they were hungry for it.
The Baron watched her impassively. When she finished, breathless and more frightened than before, he simply raised an eyebrow. "Satisfied?"
The whip cracked again, this time close enough that she felt the air displacement against her cheek. Marissa flinched violently.
"I won't ask again," he said, his voice dropping to a dangerous register.
With trembling hands, Marissa reached for the hem of her sweater. Her fingers felt numb, disconnected from her body as she pulled it over her head. The dungeon air was cool against her skin, raising goosebumps along her arms.
"This is assault," she said, her voice smaller than she wanted it to be. "Kidnapping. You can't—"
The whip cracked again, this time striking the stone by her feet. Marissa jumped back with a strangled cry.
"Continue," the Baron commanded.
Tears blurred her vision as she kicked off her shoes, then fumbled with the button of her jeans. The denim clung to her legs where the wine had soaked in, requiring her to peel them down awkwardly. Standing in just her bra and underwear, Marissa hugged herself again, acutely aware of the Baron's clinical gaze.
"Please," she whispered. "Don't make me—"
"Everything," he interrupted. "Or shall I assist you?"
The thought of his hands on her was worse than the humiliation of compliance. With a choked sob, Marissa reached behind her back and unhooked her bra. She let it fall to the floor, then, after a moment's hesitation, pushed her underwear down her legs and stepped out of them.
Naked, she stood with one arm across her breasts, the other hand attempting to cover between her legs. Tears streamed down her face, but she forced herself to meet the Baron's gaze, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing her completely broken.
"What do you want from me?" she asked, hating the quaver in her voice.
The Baron's eyes traveled over her body with the detached interest of someone appraising livestock. "Everything, Miss Laroux," he said simply. "In time, I will have everything."

Then the Baron grabbed Marissa's hair once again, eliciting a pained gasp as he dragged her towards the heavy wooden door. With his free hand, he produced an ornate key from beneath his waistcoat, its intricate design at odds with the brutality of their surroundings. The lock clicked open with a finality that sent a shudder through Marissa's naked form.
"Where are you taking me?" she demanded, her voice raw from screaming. "Let me go, you psychopath!"
The Baron merely chuckled, a sound devoid of mirth. "Your education has only just begun, Miss Laroux. Patience."
He pulled her through the doorway into a corridor lined with iron-barred cells. The stone beneath her bare feet was slick with moisture, forcing her to stumble along awkwardly to keep from falling. At the end of the hall, another door stood ajar, revealing a chamber that made Marissa's blood run cold.
In the center of the room stood a device that looked like it had been birthed from the darkest corners of medieval imagination. A wooden structure, its apex forming a sharp ridge, dominated the space. Metal fixtures glinted dully in the low light, promising restraint and suffering in equal measure.
"No," Marissa breathed, her eyes wide with horror. "No, no, no—"
She planted her feet, trying to wrench free from the Baron's grasp, but he was inhumanly strong. With seemingly little effort, he lifted her squirming form and positioned her astride the wooden horse. The edge bit into the soft flesh of her inner thighs and vulva, eliciting a cry of pain and shock.
"You bastard!" she snarled, twisting to claw at his face. "I'll fucking kill you!"
The Baron easily deflected her attack, capturing her wrist and using the momentum to secure her ankle to one side of the device. Before she could regain her balance, he had the other leg fastened as well. Padlocks snapped shut with a finality that sent waves of panic through Marissa's body.
"Let me go!" she screamed, yanking futilely at the restraints. The movement only served to grind her sensitive flesh against the unforgiving wood, sending jolts of discomfort through her core. "You can't do this! People will look for me!"
The Baron stepped back, admiring his handiwork with the detached interest of an artist surveying a canvas. "Your friends are otherwise occupied, as I've said. And as for the outside world—well, let's just say time moves differently here in Château Strigoi."
Marissa's mind raced, searching for some way out of this nightmare. "My family—they'll notice I'm missing. There'll be investigations, police—"
"By the time anyone thinks to look," the Baron interrupted smoothly, "you'll be long past caring about such trivialities." He circled behind her, his footsteps echoing in the chamber. "But for now, let's make you a bit more... comfortable."
A mechanical whirring sound filled the air, and Marissa felt the pressure against her most intimate parts shift. The center of the horse seemed to be opening up beneath her. Before she could process what was happening, something cool and bulbous pressed against her entrance.
"What are you—no! Stop!" she cried out, trying futilely to lift herself away from the intrusion. But her position, legs spread and secured, left her completely vulnerable.
The dildo—for that's what it clearly was—began to push inside her with inexorable slowness. Despite her fear and revulsion, Marissa's body responded to the stimulation, a thin sheen of moisture easing the device's entry. She bit her lip hard enough to draw blood, fighting against the unwanted sensations.
"Your body betrays you," the Baron observed, coming around to face her again. "It knows what it needs, even if your mind rebels."
"Fuck you," Marissa spat, tears of rage and humiliation streaming down her face. "I don't need this. I don't want this!"
The Baron's hand shot out, grasping one of her large, pendulous breasts. His touch was clinical, almost bored, as he kneaded the soft flesh. "What you want is irrelevant, Miss Laroux. You're here to learn what you need."
Marissa tried to jerk away from his touch, but the movement only served to drive the dildo deeper inside her. A strangled moan escaped her lips, equal parts pain and unwanted pleasure.
"That's it," the Baron murmured, his thumb brushing across her nipple. "Listen to your body. It knows the truth your mind denies."
"Please," Marissa whimpered, hating the weakness in her voice. "Just let me go. I won't tell anyone. I'll forget this ever happened."
The Baron's laugh was cold and mirthless. "Oh, my dear. You misunderstand entirely." His hand moved to cup her chin, forcing her to meet his icy gaze. "I don't want you to forget. I want you to remember every moment, every sensation, as you shed the skin of your old life and embrace your new reality."
His words sent a chill through Marissa that had nothing to do with the dungeon's damp air. The absolute certainty in his voice, the casual cruelty—it spoke of a man who had done this before, who knew exactly how to break a person down to their barest components.
"Why me?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "Why are you doing this?"
The Baron's thumb traced the curve of her lower lip, a parody of tenderness. "Because you called to me, Marissa. Your deepest desires, the ones you bury beneath layers of propriety and modern sensibilities—they sang out across the veil. And I answered."
He stepped back, his eyes roving over her restrained form one last time. "We have all the time in the world to explore those desires. To peel back every layer of resistance until you're remade in the image of your truest self."

"One final touch before I leave you to your contemplation," the Baron said, his voice carrying the casual authority of someone accustomed to absolute control. He moved to a small wooden cabinet tucked into the corner of the stone chamber, its ornate carvings at odds with the brutal functionality of the rest of the room.
Marissa watched him through tear-blurred eyes, her body aching from the wooden horse's unyielding pressure. "What are you doing now?" she demanded, struggling to maintain some semblance of defiance despite her vulnerable position.
The Baron withdrew a small ceramic jar, its surface glazed with intricate symbols that seemed to shift in the flickering light. He removed the lid, revealing a thick, pearlescent substance that caught the light like oil on water.
"A special preparation of my own design," he explained, dipping his fingers into the jar. "Centuries in the perfecting."
Marissa recoiled as he approached, but her restraints left her no room to escape. "Don't touch me again, you sick fuck!"
The Baron merely smiled, his eyes cold with amusement as he reached for her breast. With deliberate slowness, he smeared a dollop of the ointment onto her nipple, working it into the sensitive flesh with circular motions.
"Stop!" Marissa cried, swinging her free hand to slap his arm away. The Baron caught her wrist effortlessly, holding it immobile as he continued his ministrations.
"Such spirit," he commented, releasing her hand only to reach for her other breast. "Like a kitten that believes its claws can harm a wolf."
Marissa struck at him again, her nails raking across his cheek. The Baron didn't even flinch, though four thin red lines appeared on his pale skin. Instead, he laughed—a sound that chilled her more than any show of anger would have.
"By all means, continue," he said, applying the ointment to her other nipple. "Your resistance only enhances the process."
"What process?" Marissa demanded, panic rising in her throat as he moved his hand lower, between her spread thighs. "What is that stuff?"
The Baron didn't answer, his fingers finding her exposed labia and clitoris, spreading the ointment with clinical precision. Despite her revulsion, Marissa couldn't prevent the small gasp that escaped her lips at the contact.
"There," he said finally, wiping his fingers on a handkerchief produced from his pocket. "Now we can truly begin."
"Begin what?" Marissa asked, her voice smaller than she intended.
The Baron moved toward the door, pausing only to glance back at her with that same cold smile. "Your education, Miss Laroux. By the time I return, you'll be ready for the next lesson."
The heavy door closed behind him with a sound of finality, leaving Marissa alone in the chamber, impaled on the wooden horse, her most intimate parts coated with the unknown substance.
For several minutes, she yanked frantically at her ankle restraints, twisting and pulling until the metal cut into her skin. The padlocks held firm, and each movement only served to shift the dildo inside her, sending unwanted sparks of sensation through her core.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck," she muttered, finally stilling as exhaustion overtook her. Her eyes, adjusting to the dimness, fixed on the wall before her—and widened in shock.
A massive painting dominated the space, its surface so realistic it might have been a window. It depicted the corridor of the château where she'd been walking with Ashley and Hana just hours before. The details were perfect—the same wallpaper, the same sconces, even the wine stain on the carpet where she'd dropped her glass.
"What the hell?" she whispered, staring at the painting. Was it some kind of surveillance device? A window back to the real world? Or just another mind game from her captor?
As she pondered these questions, a new sensation began to register. The places where the Baron had applied the ointment—her nipples, labia, and clitoris—were growing warm. Not unpleasantly so at first, just a gentle heat that seemed to pulse in time with her heartbeat.
"Great," she muttered. "Probably poison or something."
But as minutes passed, the warmth intensified, spreading outward from those points like ripples in a pond. It wasn't pain—far from it. The sensation was more like the first flush of arousal, but amplified, concentrated, impossible to ignore.
Marissa bit her lip, determined not to give in to whatever this was. She tried to focus on escape plans, on her friends, on anything but the growing heat between her legs and across her chest. But the sensations demanded attention, building steadily until her skin felt hypersensitive, every slight movement sending shivers through her body.
"This isn't real," she told herself firmly. "It's just some drug. It'll wear off."
But fifteen minutes later, the throbbing warmth had become nearly unbearable. Sweat beaded on her forehead, and her breathing had grown shallow. Without conscious decision, her hand moved to her breast, fingers brushing across her nipple.
The contact sent a jolt of pleasure so intense it drew a startled moan from her lips. The touch seemed to temporarily relieve the building pressure, like scratching an itch—but the relief was momentary, the need returning stronger than before.
"Fuck this," Marissa growled, angry at her body's betrayal. She tried to ignore it, to endure, but the sensations only built. Her other hand moved between her legs, finding her clitoris slick and swollen.
The first touch was electric, drawing another involuntary moan from deep in her throat. The relief was immediate but fleeting, leaving her craving more. Tears of frustration and unwanted arousal streamed down her face as she realized the trap she was in—each touch bringing momentary relief but deepening her body's demands.
"What's happening to me?" she whispered to the empty room, her fingers moving of their own accord now, seeking the relief her mind rejected but her body craved.

The burning sensation intensified with each passing minute, transforming from a gentle warmth to an insistent, maddening itch that radiated from Marissa's nipples and between her legs. She clenched her jaw, determined to resist whatever perverse drug the Baron had applied to her most sensitive areas.
"This is just chemical," she muttered to herself, focusing on the cold stone walls, the discomfort of the wooden horse beneath her, anything but the growing need pulsing through her body. "It'll wear off. Just ignore it."
But her body betrayed her intentions. Every slight movement caused the dildo inside her to shift, sending unwanted sparks of pleasure up her spine. Her nipples had hardened to tight, aching peaks that seemed to throb in time with her racing heart.
Twenty minutes passed in this torment, sweat now running freely down her back despite the dungeon's chill. Marissa's breathing grew ragged, her hands clenched into fists so tight her nails cut into her palms.
"Fuck this," she finally gasped, her resolve crumbling as the sensation became unbearable. "Just make it stop."
Her hand moved to her breast, fingers tentatively brushing across her nipple. The contact sent a shock of pleasure so intense it made her cry out—not in pain but in relief. The burning subsided momentarily, replaced by waves of pleasure that made her dizzy.
"Oh god," she whispered, horrified by her body's response yet unable to stop her fingers from continuing their ministrations. Her other hand moved between her legs, finding her clitoris swollen and slick with arousal.
The first touch there nearly buckled her forward, the wooden horse's edge digging painfully into her inner thighs as she instinctively tried to close her legs. The sensation was overwhelming—a perfect counterpoint to the maddening itch that had been driving her to distraction.
"This isn't me," she told herself, even as her fingers began working in small circles. "This is just... survival. Just making it bearable."
But the lie tasted bitter even in her thoughts. Because beneath the shame and fear, a terrible realization was forming: it felt good. Not just as relief from the ointment's effects, but as a sensation in itself. Her body responded to each touch with mounting pleasure, internal muscles clenching around the intruder inside her.
Memories surfaced unbidden—fantasies she'd entertained in private moments. Being tied up, yes, but by her ex-boyfriend in his apartment, with safe words and boundaries and trust. Not like this. Never like this.
And yet her body didn't seem to recognize the difference. Each circle of her fingers, each squeeze of her nipple, sent waves of pleasure crashing through her that were becoming harder to separate from her horror at the situation.
"Stop it," she hissed at herself, but her hands continued their work, her hips now moving in small, involuntary circles that drove the dildo deeper. "What's wrong with me?"
A small, unwanted voice in the back of her mind whispered an answer: Nothing's wrong. This is what you've always wanted. To be taken. Controlled. Used.
"No!" she cried out, the sound echoing in the stone chamber. But her denial lacked conviction, undermined by the mounting pleasure building in her core.
Her gaze, seeking escape from her body's betrayal, fixed on the painting before her. And froze.
The corridor was no longer empty.
Two figures stood there now, rendered with the same photographic realism as the rest of the scene. Ashley and Hana, their expressions a mixture of confusion and concern, seemed to be looking directly at her—or rather, at the painting that must show her current predicament.
"Ashley! Hana!" Marissa screamed, her voice raw with desperation. "Help me! I'm trapped in here!"
But her friends showed no sign of hearing her cries. They simply stared, their painted forms as still as statues, yet somehow conveying a growing horror as they took in what they were seeing.
"Please!" Marissa continued to scream, her voice breaking. "The painting! It's a portal or something! Help me!"
Only then did she realize that even as she screamed for help, her hands hadn't stopped their movements. One still kneaded her breast, the other working between her legs with increasing urgency. The part of her mind still capable of rational thought recoiled in shame—her friends were watching her masturbate while impaled on this medieval torture device, and she couldn't stop.
The ointment's effects seemed to intensify, as if feeding on her humiliation. The pleasure built higher, her body trembling on the edge of release despite her mental anguish.
"No, no, no," she sobbed, but the word lost meaning as it tumbled from her lips, becoming just another sound in the symphony of her degradation.
In the painting, Ashley reached out a tentative hand toward the frame, her lips moving in words Marissa couldn't hear. Hana grabbed her friend's arm, pulling her back, her expression now one of unmistakable terror.
They could see her. They could see everything—her nakedness, her restraints, her hands moving of their own accord. And she could see the moment they realized that the friend they knew was gone, replaced by this creature of base need and helpless desire.
"It's not me," Marissa tried to tell them, but the words emerged as a moan as her body shuddered with unwanted pleasure. "This isn't who I am."
But as the first waves of orgasm began to build within her, a terrible doubt took root in her mind: What if it was?

The pleasure building within Marissa's body reached a crescendo that defied her every attempt to suppress it. Her fingers moved with desperate urgency between her legs, her other hand pinching and rolling her nipple as if controlled by some force beyond her will. The wooden horse beneath her, the dildo inside her, the burning ointment on her skin—all coalesced into a perfect storm of unwanted sensation.
"No, please, not like this," she whimpered, her eyes locked with Ashley's painted gaze. The humiliation of being watched—of being seen in this state of degradation—should have dampened her arousal. Instead, it heightened it, adding a forbidden edge that pushed her closer to the brink.
In the painting, Ashley's hand hovered near the frame, her expression a mixture of horror and determination. Hana gripped her friend's arm, pulling her back.
"Don't touch it!" Marissa could almost read the words on Hana's lips, her analytical mind clearly processing the danger faster than Ashley's impulsive nature. "Look what happened to her!"
Ashley hesitated, her blue eyes wide with indecision as she stared directly at Marissa. The connection between them felt tangible, a lifeline across whatever impossible barrier separated them.
"I'm sorry," Marissa sobbed, even as her hips bucked against her hand, chasing the release her mind rejected but her body demanded. "I can't stop. I can't—"
The first wave hit her like a physical blow, her back arching as much as her restrained position allowed. Her inner walls clenched rhythmically around the intrusion, her body surrendering completely to the pleasure even as her mind recoiled in horror. A primal sound tore from her throat—half moan, half scream—echoing off the stone walls of her prison.
Through tear-blurred eyes, she watched Ashley and Hana's reactions—their shock, their disgust, their pity. These women who had seen her at her best, who respected her mind and her work, now witnessed her reduced to this—a creature of pure sensation, masturbating while impaled on a torture device.
"This isn't me," she tried to say, but another wave of pleasure stole her words, transforming them into incoherent moans. Her body shuddered, thighs trembling against the wooden edge, toes curling in helpless surrender.
A terrible thought surfaced through the haze of her climax: What if this is me? What if this is what I've always been beneath the carefully constructed identity I show the world?
The sound of the chamber door opening barely registered through the roaring in her ears. Footsteps approached from behind, measured and unhurried. The Baron had returned, just in time to witness her complete surrender.
"Magnificent," his voice sliced through her consciousness like a cold blade. "Not even an hour, and already you've embraced your true nature."
"Fuck you," Marissa gasped, the words lacking conviction as aftershocks of pleasure still rippled through her traitorous body. "This isn't... this isn't what I want."
The Baron circled around to face her, his cold eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Your mouth says one thing, but your body speaks a different truth." He gestured toward the painting. "And now your friends know it too."
Marissa's gaze snapped back to the painting. Ashley and Hana remained frozen in the corridor, their expressions now unreadable as they witnessed her interaction with the Baron.
"They can see you," Marissa realized aloud, horror dawning through the fog of her post-orgasmic state. "They can see you too."
"Of course," the Baron replied, as if explaining something simple to a child. "The veil thins for those who are connected. Your friends stand at the threshold now, just as you did." His smile sharpened. "One of them will join us soon, I think."
In the painting, Ashley's hand moved toward the frame again, her expression set with determination despite Hana's obvious protests.
"No!" Marissa screamed, genuine terror cutting through her haze. "Ashley, don't! He wants you to touch it!"
The Baron laughed, the sound like ice cracking. "She can't hear you, my dear. But she can see how your body responds to my attentions. Perhaps she's curious about what you've discovered."
He moved closer, his hand reaching out to brush a strand of sweat-dampened hair from Marissa's face. She flinched away, but there was nowhere to go, her body still impaled and restrained.
"Your resistance crumbles already," he observed, his fingers trailing down her neck to her collarbone. "The ointment merely awakens what lies dormant within you—it cannot create desire where none exists."
"That's a lie," Marissa hissed, though a seed of doubt had taken root in her mind. Had some part of her always wanted this loss of control? This complete surrender of responsibility and choice?
"Is it?" the Baron asked, his hand continuing its downward path to cup her breast. Despite her revulsion, her nipple hardened against his palm. "Your body knows the truth your mind denies."
In the painting, Hana and Ashely had started walking away, looking both scared and worried.

"They're leaving," Marissa whispered, despair washing over her as her potential rescuers disappeared from view. "They're leaving me here."
"For now," the Baron murmured, his voice carrying the casual certainty of someone who had played this game countless times before. His fingers dipped between her thighs, gathering the evidence of her body's betrayal.
Before she could recoil, he brought his glistening fingertips to her face, deliberately smearing her own wetness across the tip of her nose like marking an animal. The scent of her arousal filled her nostrils, an inescapable reminder of what had just transpired.
"Your friends..." he continued, his eyes gleaming with dark amusement. "I've seen that look before. Especially in your blonde friend—what fascinating depths lie beneath that carefully cultivated exterior. Perhaps she'll prove even more... receptive than you."
"No," Marissa protested, the word hollow even to her own ears. "Ashley would never—"
"Never?" The Baron's laugh was soft, intimate. "The same way you would 'never'?" His thumb brushed across her nipple, sending another jolt of unwanted pleasure through her oversensitized body.
Marissa turned her face away, unable to bear the knowing look in his eyes or the truth in his words. Had she seen something in Ashley's expression as she'd reached for the painting? A curiosity that went beyond concern?
"We all construct such elaborate facades," the Baron mused, his hand moving lower, fingers trailing across her stomach with proprietary ease. "The question isn't whether these masks will fall, but when they shatter." His touch lingered just above where her body still pulsed with aftershocks. "And what glorious creatures emerge from behind them."
The Baron's fingers traced idle patterns across Marissa's skin, each touch sending unwanted ripples of sensation through her oversensitized body. She turned her face away, desperate to hide the conflicting emotions warring within her—disgust at his touch, shame at her response, and terror at the realization that her friends might soon share her fate.
"I'm a reasonable man, Miss Laroux," the Baron said, his voice deceptively gentle as he withdrew his hand. "Despite appearances."
Marissa gave a bitter laugh, the sound echoing hollowly in the stone chamber. "Reasonable men don't kidnap women and force them onto medieval torture devices."
"Force?" He raised an eyebrow, gesturing to her still-trembling thighs. "Your body seems quite... receptive to my hospitality."
"That's the drug you put on me," she spat, though a seed of doubt had taken root in her mind. Had the ointment merely amplified existing desires? Created them from nothing? Or simply stripped away her ability to suppress them?
The Baron moved to a small writing desk in the corner of the room that Marissa hadn't noticed before. From a drawer, he withdrew a leather folio and an ornate fountain pen.
"I'm prepared to offer you a choice," he said, returning to stand before her. "One that many in your position would consider quite generous."
Marissa's eyes narrowed with suspicion. "What kind of choice?"
