Hoseok birthday approached quickly and so did the time to come face to face with his fate. Hoseok tried not to think about it to much as his days were counted, spending more and more time with Jimin as he got the opportunity to sneak away. Maybe if he acted as if nothing was going on he would wake up from this nightmare. But he didn't.
Ever since the day in the woods by the river when Hoseok had cried in Jimin's arms Hoseok hadn't told Jimin what had happen neither did he pry. Yes, he was worried but he didn't want to push Hoseok either if he wasn't ready to talk. All he could do was enjoy the company of his best friend and hope he would come around.
Hoseok was afraid if Jimin found out he was to be mated to Jaehyung he would despise him. Hoseok still remember the day they sat in the flower meadow hidden in between the bushes and trees and they kissed for the very first time. Although it lasted only a few seconds Hoseok thought it was magical, he felt the blood in his veins run warm as Jimin's soft lips touched his. He still remember exactly what had been said that day:
"Jiminie." Hoseok said laying on his back looking up at Jimin as the sun glowed around him beautifully.
"Yeah?"Jimin said smiling, eyes still closed face tilted up soaking in the warm sun after he had just kissed his best friend.
"I'll make you my alpha some day, I promise." Hoseok said with a determined frown on his face as he sat up looking into Jimin's now open eyes.
Jimin giggled at his cuteness " yeah?" Hoseok nodded his head up and down quickly. "And what if you're a alpha too?" Jimin asked with a teasing voice tilting his head to the side.
"I won't be, I just know it! Because you and me are meant to be. Just wait for me okay, promise you'll wait Jiminie." Hoseok now said with hopeful eyes.
"Okay, I'll always wait for you."Jimin said now cupping Hoseok face with one hand."but we have to seal the promise"
"How? Hoseok said not able to contain his happiness.
"With a kiss." Jimin said leaning forward and giving Hoseok another soft kiss.
So Hoseok opted not to tell Jimin in fears of losing him earlier than he had to. He did everything he could to enjoy every last minute with the one he truly loved.
It was the morning before his birthday Hoseok felt off. He felt warm and dizzy, he felt hungry but not sure for what. He had a sudden raging urge to be with Jimin, to feel his fingers touch his skin, to feel his soft lips on his own. Hoseok was scared, this was the start he thought but all his body want was to be with Jimin, he was desperate. So that's exactly what he did he ran to find the one his body craved ignoring his parents shouts trying to get him back in the house. Hoseok thought it was the start but his parents had smelt it, it had already happened he had presented as a omega a day early.
It didn't take long for Hoseok to find Jimin down by the river where he cleaned the fur of his last prey as his older bother Yoongi sat nearby writing in a notebook. As soon as Jimin saw Hoseok he quickly hid the fur behind his back but Hoseok paid no mind to it quickly greeting Yoongi and dragging Jimin to there secret spot away from the pack where they had shared the first kiss.
"What's up? Is something wrong?" Jimin asked noticing Hoseok's flushed cheeks.
"Nothing, I just wanted to see you" Hoseok said sitting down in the middle of the flowers and motioning Jimin to do the same.
"Well then since you're here and you kind of already saw I might as well give it to you" Jimin said handing Hoseok the fur he had hidden behind his back "I was going to wait until tomorrow but I can't wait to see it on you." Jimin admitted with flushed cheeks.
It was tradition that when a wolf was trying to court a possible mate he would offer them fur as a gift and symbol of being capable of taking care of the other. If the other wolf accepted the wolfs offering he was also accepting there courting, only once they had mated was the wolf to wear the fur as a statement that they where now a mated wolf.
"Jiminie.." Hoseok gasped as he took the fur and brushed it with delicate fingers. "It's so beautiful." He said looking up at Jimin with glossy eyes.
"Only the best for the most beautiful wolf I've ever seen" Jimin said smiling up at Hoseok.
"Jiminie, I want to wear it now." Hoseok said looking straight into Jimin's eyes.
"But I can't claim you until tomorrow during the ceremony" Jimin said with sad eyes as he brushed Hoseok cheek affectionately.
"So don't mark me just make me yours" Hoseok said softly leaning into Jimin's touch "mate me."
Jimin felt all his self control disappear he launched forward capturing Hoseok's lips in his own. Perhaps it was the words that Hoseok had said waking up the alpha in him or perhaps it was the sweet intoxicating smell that he was radiating. How had he never smelt how good Hoseok smelled, was he using a new body wash? It doesn't matter because Hoseok was so enticing he couldn't think.
Hoseok found himself tangled in Jimin's arms, clothes long forgotten. He closed his eyes as Jimin thrusted into him faster, all that could be heard was soft whimpers and loving words. But Hoseok couldn't help but think he was taking advantage of Jimin, he was being selfish. What would happen tomorrow when Jimin found out he was to be marked by another Alpha? Hoseok was pulled out of his thoughts when he felt Jimin tense up.
"Knot me Jiminie, make me yours " the words spilled out so naturally and felt so right Hoseok didn't think twice about saying it. After Jimin came inside of Hoseok and his knot went down they laid in the meadow not say a word. Jimin's arm wrapped around Hoseok and Hoseok head on his chest as he drew circles on his chest with the fur covering his naked body.
After a while Hoseok broke the silence
"I love you, Jiminie don't ever forget that no matter what happens."
"I love you to Hobi, I can't wait for you to be mine tomorrow" Jimin said but he didn't see the sad smile and tear run down Hoseok's cheek.
