Day 1: Cheek Kiss
Xavier and Iara.
It had been several weeks since Xavier saw Iara, and every day he regretted not sneaking into her hunting group to see her. His missions would barely take enough time to distract him, and then he would go home after feeding Princess Goose and watering her flowers. Though one day, something changed. She came back just as he was pouring food into Goose's feeder, and he perked up immediately at the sound of the lock's mechanism shifting and turning to open the door.
"Mon chouchou, je suis de retour!"
Immediately, the orange feline abandons her post atop her cat tree with a loud meow and dashes to the door. Xavier follows closely behind and arrives just in time to see her kissing Princess Goose all over her tiny face, and he finds himself pouting at the sight. "Oh ma petite chérie! Tu m'as tellement manqué!" Envy simmers in his chest, and refusing to let it fester, he takes a few steps towards her.
"Is Princess Goose the only thing you missed?"
Her eyes immediately snap to him, and her smile seems to grow even bigger. "Xavier!" She pushes herself up and leaps towards him, arms outstretched. "Of course not! I missed you just as much!" She hugs him tightly, and within her embrace, his cheeks turn a red hue, and a smile blossoms on his face. Soon enough, she pulls away to grab his face and shower it with kisses. "The mission would've ended much faster if you were there with me."
She ends her flurry of kisses with a big kiss on his cheek, which earns her a chuckle from him and a yowl from Princess Goose. "Oho? Looks like my little princess is getting jealous!"
"I think Princess Goose isn't the only one getting jealous…"
