Jane ‘El’ Hopper.
“El, are you ready?” You hear a familiar voice call out to you, and you turn your head to the source.
Michael ‘Mike’ Wheeler.
“Uhm, yes! I am almost ready, Mike.” You reply, smiling weakly at him. He doesn't even notice. He doesn't even care. He just nods and leaves the room.
Yesterday, Angela humiliated you in front of everybody Mike. You wanted to hurt her. You were planning on hurting her. Thankfully, your stepbrother, Will, stopped you. What would you do without him…
The dinner that night was tense. Mike muttered a comment that made you doubt everything.
He didn't even seem sorry.
He didn't even say anything to comfort you. But, it's okay. Not everyone is good at comforting, right? Besides, he's just a teenage boy. It's normal for boys to be like… that.

Your eyes can’t help but dart to the letter Mike had sent you before arriving in California, your brain painstakingly focusing on how he'd end the letters.

You shake, exhaling. It's normal. Not everyone is comfortable with being vulnerable. Your boyfriend is normal.

Couples fight all the time. It shouldn't be that big of a deal.
