Sue and the Vampire

Summary:

A night between two friends takes an interesting turn as one of the two is overcome by a sudden desire for a certain redhead's blood.

Work Text:

“Hey, can I ask you a question?”

Beni scrunched up her face as a sudden shade of anxiety fell upon her. Questions like these always seemed to lead to more questions, ones that could be problematic for a woman such herself. As a vampire, it was in her best interest to keep the people around her as in the dark about her as she could possibly manage. The relationships she had with others were few, and relatively shallow as a result. It was rare for her to spend her evenings with others like she was tonight, but whenever she did, they usually tended to be spoiled by situations exactly like this. Sighing quietly to herself, she resolved to settle this one as gracefully as she could.

“Uh… what's up?” Beni found herself stammering, completely bereft of confidence as she turned to meet her host for this evening.

“Oh!” Sue suddenly perked up, picking up on her guest's discomfort right away. She hadn't meant to come off as sounding so serious, but immediately realized that’s how she had come across Crossing her arms out in front of her, her forearms jiggling slightly as she began to shake her head, Sue did her best to clear up this misconception.

“It's not that important.” She did her best to assure Beni, her heart fluttering slightly as she watched her pale faced companion slouch slightly down from her side of the couch and sigh. “I was just kinda wondering if you were hungry.” Sue added, her voice full of innocence as she tilted her head slightly to the side. In response to this, Beni almost immediately frowned.

“Seriously?” The vampire asked, shaking her head partly at Sue, but mostly at herself for having gotten so worked up over what turned out to be a completely mundane question. Now looking out of the corner of her eyes, her gaze shifted over to Sue, where she began to glare somewhat at the woman in question. As always, Beni was feeling as moody as ever.

“We just ate.” She made sure to remind Sue, smacking her lips slightly as she recalled the veritable buffet of takeout they had already somehow managed to consume between the two of them.

“Yeah, like… two hours ago.” Sue replied, somewhat dismissively as she began to lean away from Beni and rolled her eyes. Realizing she was talking to a friend however and not someone like her sister, she only completed the gesture halfway, then quickly stopped herself, realizing that it might come off as rude. It was true that they had eaten earlier, and thought it had seemed to Beni that both had indulged equally, in reality she had glutted herself far more than Sue had. Whereas it was Beni's style to indulge in a few large binges throughout the day in an attempt to satiate her ravenous appetite whenever she was left wanting for blood, Sue usually grazed throughout the day, never quite hitting peak fullness. As a result of these different, yet similarly unhealthy habits, both women were quite large, with the couch bearing the weight of a little less than a half ton between them as it struggled to support the both of them.

Rolling her eyes outright, only to tense up as her side of the couch creaked loudly beneath her as she slouched down even further, Beni sighed again. “I'm not hungry—but if you still want to eat, don't let me stop you.” It seemed ridiculous to her that a woman Sue's size could still somehow bring herself to keep eating after a meal like the one they had earlier—though this impression came mostly from her own feelings of shame she felt towards having eaten so much herself in the first place rather than an actual sense of disbelief. There was an added element of self pity in this thought for her, as the only reason why she felt like she ate like this in the first place was to smother the otherwise unquenchable thirst for blood that she regularly felt but was not always able to satiate. Though she was significantly more at fault for her own poor habits than she gave herself credit for, the fact that a human like Sue could not only exist, but seemed to do so in great numbers, was bewildering to her for reasons she did not entirely understand, having once been human herself long ago.

“Well I'm gonna go… ngggh… check the kitchen and see if there's anything left.” Sue grunted loudly as she talked mostly to herself, rocking back and forth slightly in order to give herself enough momentum to lift herself off the couch. For a woman of her size this could be quite difficult, but Sue was sufficiently experienced with navigating her own body as for it to not be too big of an issue. Slowly but surely she managed to push herself upward, grunting only a little bit and relying just a tad on the couch's armsets as she brought herself to her feet. The couch, as if giving thanks, groaned with relief as Sue took a few stumbling steps forward to steady herself, even as the indent from where she had been seated remained.

“You do that.” Beni found herself, replying as she rolled her eyes again, feeling somewhat unsympathetic to Sue's plight as she struggled to stand despite her tendency to suffer from similar maladies. Vampiric super strength only went so far for one starved of blood and glutted with fast food after all. Producing her phone somewhat unflatteringly from what might have seemed like a pocket to the unobservant, but was in fact actually a stomach fold, Beni brought the device up to her face and began to type away at it, fat finger thudding against the screen as she busied herself with wasting time.

“Hey, don't be like that!” Sue found herself suddenly pouting, puffing out her already swollen cheeks and looking back over her shoulder as she shuffled over towards the nearby kitchen. Though she was well used to Beni's often bad behavior, having been at the very least acquainted with her for quite some time now, it still surprised her how sour she could be at times. She made a note in her mind to bring back something small and sweet for her guest if she happened to find it in the kitchen, hoping that it would improve her mood.

Waddling over the threshold that divided the carpeted floor of her living from the wooden flooring that made up her kitchen, only slightly out of breath and uncomfortable thanks to the spot where her thighs had rubbed painfully against each other the entire way, Sue let out a sigh. Making her way to the fridge, she frowned slightly at her own reflection, noticing immediately that she looked slightly disheveled as a result of spending the entire day lounging about with Beni. With messy hair, an undone strap of her massively oversized tanktop, and also looking slightly greasy thanks to the near constant layer of sweat that clung to her throughout most of the day, she could hardly say she was at her best. Looking back over her shoulder she was relieved to see that she was hardly alone in this, with the greasiness of Beni's pale and tired face being more than obvious than to the warm glow of her phone's screen illuminating the bulk of her bloated features.

Feeling oddly comforted by this, Sue returned her attention back to the kitchen. Upon opening the refrigerator however, she was immediately disappointed. There were neither any remaining leftovers, which could have served as a quick way to fill herself up, or much in the way of fresh ingredients for cooking anything quick. Even the freezer, which was usually stocked with a number of fast foods that could quickly be reheated, was relatively empty, prompting Sue to frown.

“Maybe the pantry…?” She asked no one in particular as she turned and lumbered from one end of the kitchen to the other. Grunting as she was forced to reach up to investigate the many cabinets that surrounded the space in search of food, the upper halves of her arms wobbling wildly in the process, her disappointment only continued to grow. Though the pantry was usually filled to the brim with various snack foods that—although no substitute for a proper meal—would be good enough as a substitute for Sue, today they were almost completely sparse. Though it was Sue's fault that they had been cleaned out in the first place, having gone through most of her home's food over the past few days to begin with, there was little on her face that seemed to indicate she made the proper connection between her actions and their consequences.

“Aw man…” Sue muttered quietly to herself, almost in a whimper. “I thought Sasha said she was going to the store…” She wondered aloud, recalling what her sister had told her earlier in the day. “I wonder if that means she's still here…”

As Sue continued to mumble and fret to herself, Beni couldn't help but look up from her phone and glare at her acquaintance. At first she was annoyed, feeling like the brief moment of quiet she had begun to enjoy had been almost immediately spoiled despite the fact that she was still actively hanging out with Sue. However, as Sue continued to stumble about in her kitchen, her body wobbling pendulously as she moved between one set of shelves to the other in an increasingly desperate and somewhat pathetic search for food, she felt a strange feeling begin to overtake her. Everything suddenly felt incredibly warm, and her senses began to sharpen, heightening her awareness to the point where it felt like nothing in their immediate vicinity could escape her notice. Now in a haze which felt like it bordered perfectly between hyperfocus and delirium, she began to stare much more intently at her host, drinking in her every action with an almost photographic clarity. It was enough to make Beni chuckle quietly to herself, given that Sue's combined innocence and encumbrance made this degree of concentration far from necessary. This burning feeling that had overtaken her was one that she was intimately aware of despite finding herself suppressing more as of late, having embraced it many times more in the past. As she continued to watch Sue, she couldn't help but think that the pure-hearted redhead across the way was suddenly looking rather delicious.

“Say, Sue…” Beni suddenly spoke up, letting the couch once again creak beneath her as she straightened out her back and sat up. Under normal circumstances she might have chafed at the feeling of her overly fleshy body being dragging across itself whenever she adjusted her posture, but she was feeling invigorated enough where it didn't particularly matter to her for now. There were similarly massive fish to fry instead.

“I think I'm feeling hungry after all.” The vampire said calmly and in a manner which surprised even Sue, who was used to Beni sounding a little whinnier than she did now. Jumping to attention, then stumbling as she turned around, she saw Beni now sitting almost elegantly atop her couch, letting one arm creep along the top of the backrest as she relaxed a little.

‘This is weird.’ Sue thought to herself.

“Is there anything to eat?” Beni asked somewhat playfully, knowing full well the answer with how long she had been watching Sue for.

“Um… not really.” Sue said somewhat flatly, a little dumbfounded at Beni's sudden shift in behavior. Choking it up to her feeling a little sheepish that she had so readily denied her earlier, Sue simply shrugged and let it pass. Glancing back over her shoulder again, as if she magically expected food to just appear out of thin air, she shook her head.

“If we want something, we're probably going to have to order it again.” Sue said somewhat sheepishly, turning back around and eyeing some of the overturned fast food containers that littered the living room from earlier. Like a spider spinning its web around its victim, Beni pounced.

“In that case, why don't we go out and get something to eat instead?” She asked calmly, tapping her sausage-sized pointed and middle finger atop the couch's backrest. “It would be a nice change of pace, don't you think?” She added, intuiting that Sue—for all her gluttonous faults—enjoyed a little variety now and again.

“O-oh!” Sue stammered, taken slightly aback by the suggestion. She had known Beni for a while now—though she couldn't exactly recall how the two had met now that she thought about it—and had always had her figured for more of a shut-in. They had never gone out with each other, with Beni seeming to prefer the privacy of the indoors for the most part.

“We could, but I think I probably need to freshen up first.” She laughed sheepishly, bringing a palm to the back of her head and rubbing her hair. Glancing back towards the fridge and seeing her reflection again, she couldn't help but let out a self-deprecating little laugh. “Are you fine with waiting?”

“Of course.” Beni nodded, now having Sue exactly where she wanted. Naturally she could have gotten what she wanted right here and now, but a kitchen was such an open and exposed space—much more difficult to clean up afterwards even if she opted not to go hog wild. Her instincts told her that it wasn't worth it.

“Do you mind if I join you?” The vampire added, lowering her outstretched arm with a sudden plop. Just as quickly she stood up, intending to follow Sue, jerking forward with a sudden stomp of her feet—almost as if she had been pulled straight off the couch by some unseen force.

“Um, sure.” Sue muttered, taken aback and slightly impressed by just how efficiently Beni had seemed to stand up from the couch considering how she had struggled with it earlier. “All my stuff is in the bathroom upstairs—its the one I share with my sister, so there's enough space… but you don't mind the stairs, do you?” She asked, having seen Beni struggle with similar obstacles in the past despite her most recent display of strength.

“That's fine by me.” Beni chuckled to herself, for once not even seeming off put by the sudden squelching of her chins as she nodded her head for once. Gesturing toward her side with a brush of her hand, the vampire seemed like she had stepped straight from another era as she politely bowed her head. “Lead the way.”

‘Definitely weird.’ Sue found herself thinking once again as she began to waddle awkwardly over in the direction of the stairs. She was not only incredibly heavy, but also significantly slowed down thanks to her lower body being pressed up against itself from her thighs all the way down to about the halfway point of her calves. Though they were protected from anything too severe thanks to the comfortable sweat pants she wore and had completely entombed her tree trunk thick legs with, the friction created as a result of them brushing against one another was still far from pleasant. Despite this, Sue kept a steady pace, stopping only slightly to shiver as she passed by Beni, who for whatever reason seemed exceptionally cold.

Beni, for her part, seemed to struggle much less with the mere act of simply moving as she began to follow Sue—a fact which seemed especially peculiar considering she had first arrived at the redhead's home with the aid of a cane. Said cane had been left propped up against the side of the couch, as Beni hardly felt like she needed it in her current state. Despite this, she still moved somewhat clumsily as she stalked her prey, with no amount of inner strength being enough to fully undo the damage she had done to her own body as a result of her undeniably poor dietary habits. Much like Sue, her bulk awkwardly pressed into itself all around her body, forcing in an awkward, bowlegged position which made walking normally an impossibility. The savage part of her mind that was now fully in control of her actions was silently upset with herself for having let things reach such a frankly embarrassing point; but at the very least it took some solace in the fact that Sue would be easy prey.

As they approached the stairs at the other end of the room Sue paused for a moment—partially to catch her breath, but also out of a sense of anticipation towards what was to come. Steeling herself, she grunted as she attempted to carefully lift one foot high enough in order to mount the first step, letting it flop down on its carpeted surface with a surprisingly thump once she was sure that she would be able to keep her balance. She then attempted to bring up her second foot, which was more difficult than the first, making sure to grab on and hold onto the banister for dear life throughout the process. As she succeeded in conquering the first step, Sue sighed, already feeling a burning pain begin to develop throughout her knees and knowing that it only worsened as she continued upwards. Still, with Beni right behind her, she knew it was too late to stop. Teetering from one side to the other as she repeated the process, moving one foot and then the other after it in a series of continuous stomping, she slowly began to make her way up the stairs.

Beni, for her part, followed closely behind, maintaining a steady pace as she hauled herself up the stairs in much the same way Sue had. It was much easier for her given her present condition, but still enough of a challenge to render her pace rather slow. This, along with the fact that she was stuck behind Sue gave her ample time to watch the aforementioned human trudge her way up the stairs, watching closely as Sue's slab-like piles of back fat and the couch wide rear that it all rested atop wobbled wildly from beneath her clothes. It slosh from one side to the other almost hypnotically, luring Beni in and causing her to become even more focused on her prey as she stalked her up the stairs. Licking her lips, she felt the heat that had previously enveloped her grow even more intense as she thought of how delicious her upcoming meal would be—ignoring the part that any amount of increasing exhaustion from climbing the stairs might have played in that sensation.

As she lumbered up the final step, Sue felt as if she was about to collapse from the trip. Now panting loudly and struggling to refill her lungs after the unwelcome exercise she had been forced to endure, she looked over her shoulder and back at Beni. Seeing that she was right behind her and looking hardly any worse for wear, Sue was slightly surprised given Beni's usual performance when it came to any form of physical activity—but was thankful enough that she wouldn't have to wait long for her guest to follow after her that she didn't pay it as much mind as she probably should.

“The bathroom is… huff.. r-right down the hall.” Sue panted, her reddened cheeks making it obvious that she was still struggling to recover from the trip. If anything, she looked much more in need of freshening up than she had before. “J-just follow me.” She muttered with a huff, struggling slightly to maintain her twisted position as she looked over her squishy shoulder and down at Beni. Straightening herself out and turning away, she began to trudge down the hall on her own.

“Wonderful.” Beni couldn't help but grin, huffing only slightly as she ascended up the last of the stairs. Having been starved of blood for so long now, this felt far too easy. That fact that Sue was ostensibly her friend didn't even occur to her as she began to creep after her, waddling her bulk awkwardly all the while. The upstairs hallway was rather narrow, as she struggled somewhat to navigate it without bumping her hips again either side of the wall once she was past the stairs. Watching Sue pause for a moment as she struggled to turn her bulk around, then open one of the hallway's handful of doors before awkwardly wobbling through to the other side, Beni knew in her undead heart that she almost had her. All she had to do now was just reach out and take what was rightfully hers.

Wadding into the bathroom and closing the door behind her—her only hesitation being concern that she might get wedged in the room's narrow doorway and ruin her entire plan then and there—Beni heard the gush suddenly with water, which frightened her somewhat given her undead nature. Nervously keeping her distance, she watched Sue lean forward towards the sink's now running faucet and begin to wash her face. Though she was unnerved slightly by this display, it was hard for her to refuse the opportunity this presented. Creeping into after her, her approach disguised by the running water and her lack of reflection in the room's pair of mirrors, Beni positioned herself carefully towards Sue's outwardly jutting flank. Taking a few cautious steps towards the side and lining herself up in just the right away so her own bulk wouldn't prevent her bearing herself down on Sue's, Beni found herself panting. Whether she was tired still from the trek upstairs, or simply excited, she couldn't say. Leering down at Sue from above, she couldn't help but feel somewhat light headed as she noticed the fat of one of her neck rolls bulging out from beneath her mane of red hair. She knew that this was the perfect point for a pair of incisions, in addition to being a delectable which highlighted Sue's opulent helplessness in and of itself. Now hopelessly fixated on Sue, it was as if the predator that had been closed upon her was now incapable of seeing, hearing, or thinking about anything else in that moment—a fact which would ultimately prove to be her undoing. Drawing herself back, Beni bore her fangs and let out a horrible hiss as she prepared to plunge downwards—completely deaf to the set of footsteps which could now be heard from just outside the bathroom door.

SLAM!

“Hey sis—can I borrow your hair brush?” Sue's sister, Sasha, awkwardly asked as she stumbled into the bathroom, completely unaware that she had just saved her sibling by striking an surprisingly unaware Beni in the face with the door. Torn between her sister and her friend, who she now clearly saw being crushed between the door and wall, Sue glanced frankly back and forth at the duo, being completely unsure of what to do. Overwhelmed and blind to the peril which she had just endured, Sue blinked listlessly at her sister.

“Uh… sure?” Sue managed to answer after an extended moment of awkward silence, before realizing that she had left the water running and quickly turning it off.

“Thanks!” Sasha said before giving her sibling a big thumbs up, reaching further into the bathroom and grabbing the hairbrush before exiting almost as suddenly as she had entered. Beni, now freed from her oak prison, stood awkwardly against the wall for a moment, blinking just as listlessly as Sue as she tried to put together in her mind what had just happened. Looking down at herself, her pupils suddenly shrank, and as if on cue her knees almost immediately began to buckle shortly after. Losing her balance, she let out a pathetic sounding whimper as she began to slide down the wall, eventually culminating in her colliding with the ground with a deafening sounding thud. Realizing that a trickle of blood was now dripping down from her nose, the defeated vampire quickly covered her face with her hands.

“Oh my gosh!” Sue couldn't help but yelp, completely overwhelmed with concern as she threw herself down to the ground and knelt down beside Beni with a thud. “Are you okay?” She asked, fretting over her friend with very real concern.

Stiffling another horrible sounding sob, Beni frantically shook her head. Having been snapped out of her bloodlust completely by Sasha's sudden intrusion, her mind raced with a million thoughts. She was disappointed and slightly ashamed with herself for a number of contradicting reasons, but also somewhat concerned over whether or not Sasha's sudden intrusion had been intentional. It didn't seem like it to her, and Beni knew Sasha's sister to be a total oaf, but one didn't live for nearly as long as she had without becoming ever paranoid.

Now looking over Beni like a mother hen does her chicks, Sue suddenly shook her head upon realizing Beni was continuing to cover her nose. “Here—me get that for you!” Sue couldn't help but coo, leaning closer in an attempt to get a better look.

“N-no… sniff… it's fine…” Beni suddenly stammered as she attempted to draw some of her blood back into herself in order to hide the severity of the initial wound. The blow had broken her nose on impact, but the injury itself was minor enough for it to have healed almost instantly, necessitating her to hide her face as it did so. Wiping the remaining blood off her face with the sleeve of her shirt, Beni sighed. It was somewhat concerning to her that a mere human had been able to strike her in such a way—and seemingly with so little effort at that. As Sue continued to look over her however, she knew that she had more immediate concerns.

“I guess we better get takeout after all.” Beni found herself laughing nervously as she attempted to appeal to Sue's more base human nature. In truth she was now once again feeling anything but hungry, having her previous craving quite literally knocked out of her by Sue's sister, but was at the point where she would basically do anything to get out of her current situation.

“Hm…” Sue muttered quietly to herself, giving Beni another quick once over. Bringing herself back up to her feet with a sudden grunt, she nodded her head. “I guess if you're still thinking about food, then it can't have been that bad.” She suddenly found herself laughing, feeling somewhat silly for having been so worried about what had happened.

“Right…” The vampire frowned, shuddering slightly at the word ‘food’. Spreading her softened palms out across the surface of the bathroom floor, Beni attempted to push herself upward in order to stand up and meet Sue at an equal eye level once again—only to feel a sudden chill pass through her body as she accomplished very little other than jostling herself around before thudding once again against the ground.

“Need some help? Sue asked gently, leaning forward and extending her hand towards Beni with a smile.

“...Tsk” Beni clicked with her tongue, glancing away for a moment before begrudgingly accepting the help. Taking Sue's hand, she felt a similar feeling of heat rush from the woman's slightly sweaty palm to her own cold dead skin, reminding her briefly of the overwhelming sensation that she had been consumed by just moments ago. Despite the similarity in initial feeling however, no craving subsequently materialized, much to Beni's silent relief as she was brought back to her feet.
