Work Text:

It was summer when Harua first met him.

He was dazzling like the sun itself ーalmost the personification of summer. His soft blonde hair caught the light like a halo, his handsome face and bold sense of style screamed for attention, and his warm smile and friendly personality drew everyone who crossed his path.

That person was none other than Nicholas, Harua’s senior in college and a member of the same photography club. Yet, none of those traits were what made Harua curious about the older man.

See, Harua was an introvert. He cherished his personal space and private time, preferred being a lone wolf, and avoided the spotlight as much as possible.

Blame him for underestimating his senior like that, but he couldn’t help judging strangers based on first impressions  ーand his first impression of Nicholas was far from positive. He had already heard too many rumors: Nicholas was a playboy who changed partners  ーboyfriends or girlfriendsー every few weeks, a month at most. Harua didn’t have many friends at university and hated gossip, but even he couldn’t escape those stories.

Looking through that biased lens, Harua never expected someone so flashy and seemingly superficial to produce such emotional, heartfelt photographs. He had assumed Nicholas was just another model-wannabe influencer who joined the club to build a fashion portfolio or, at worst, to flirt with the other members.

It was a rainy day in May, a few months earlier, when Harua first saw the seniors’ photography exhibition. Among all the works, he was deeply moved by the photos signed only with the initial “Y”

There was a stray cat bathed in soft light, wilted flowers under the rain, the moon’s pinkish hue reflected on a dark sea, and finally ーa breathtaking side-profile portrait of a man.

Somehow, something about Y’s photos touched him in a way he couldn’t explain. It inspired him to join the club; he wanted to take pictures that could move people the same way as the said person.

So imagine his shock when he discovered that “Y”  was actually none other than the rumored playboy senior.

“Are you looking for me?” the blonde senior suddenly asked in one peaceful summer afternoon, appearing out of nowhere. “Fuma-sunbae said you were asking about me.”

“Eh… no? I was just talking to him about Y’s photos…“

“Well, that’s me,” Nicholas grinned, clearly amused. “So he wasn’t wrong.”

Before Harua could process it, Nicholas casually reached out and ruffled his hair. “Nice to meet you, H.”

Harua had no idea how this person already knew his name, or how he could so casually do things that made his heart race, but one thing was certain: on that very first day they met, he had already fallen hard for the older man.

𖡼

It was autumn when Harua grew even closer to the senior, who had just dyed his hair a striking raven black.

He couldn’t pinpoint exactly when it started, but suddenly they were spending more time together. Staying late at the club to finish assignments and Nicholas would drive him home in his now too familiar black Jeep. Harua could recognize it from blocks away ーeven the low rumble of its engine.

Harua’s house was quite far from campus, and by the time they wrapped up, the last bus on his route had usually stopped running. Harua insisted he could just ride his bicycle, but Nicholas always brushed it off.

“It’s practically on my way,” he’d say with an easy smile. “No big deal.”

What began as a simple ride home slowly turned into something more. Friday nights soon become their friday’s night out together ーhunting for the perfect shot under city lights, catching late-night movies, or sharing steaming bowls of ramen at their favorite stall.

Having grown up in the countryside, Harua had never lived in a big city before. This friendship, he told himself, was helping him adjust. Nothing more than that.

Deep down he knew the truth: he was in love with Nicholas. And as much as that feeling warmed him, it also terrified him. Nicholas had a free-spirited heart, a reputation for never staying too long with anyone. Harua wanted ーneededー someone special who would look at him and only him, someone who made him their number one priority.

Call it selfish, call it insecure, but he couldn’t settle for less.

So he tried to keep his distance. He built walls, silent promises to protect himself, to make a safety barricade for his heart and hoping one day there will be a good guy who would come along and take his attention away from him.

He should have known those walls were doomed from the start.

Every shared laugh, every little time they spent together, every quiet moment in the passenger seat made him fall even deeper. And somewhere along the way, a small, stubborn hope in his mind took root: maybe, just maybe, Nicholas had the same feelings for him.

They were in the photography club’s darkroom, the red safelight casting soft shadows over the trays. Harua had zoned out again, staring at the prints as they developed.

“Rua?” Nicholas’ deep voice snapped him back.

“Y-Yes, hyung? Ohー the photos are done.”

Nicholas smiled gently. “All finished for today. Wanna head home? Or grab dinner first?”

“I think I’ll just go home…” Harua hesitated, then added quickly, “But if you want to go somewhere, I can come with you.”

Nicholas’ gaze softened, almost amused. He looked at Harua for a long moment, as if he could see straight through him.

Harua’s face burned. “I-I mean… you probably have plans with someone else. You can just drop me off and go.”

“Well, actually,” Nicholas said, tilting his head, “I do have plans tonight… with Mr. Shigeta Harua. So,  I wonder if I have the honor of driving you home today?”

The drive felt different that night.

Maybe it was the chilly autumn air seeping through his oversized sweater, or the mellow songs drifting from the radio. Same black Jeep, same passenger seat, same driver steering lazily with one hand while the other rested on the center console ーdangerously close to Harua’s sweaty palm which almost ran out of its dampness.

Harua’s senses work extraordinarily without his consent. He could smell Nicholas’ sweet, refreshing cologne. He swore he could hear his own heartbeat racing in time with the low hum of Nicholas’ voice as he sang softly under his breath. The city lights blurred past the window; Harua even took off his thick-rimmed glasses just to dull the overwhelming clarity of everything.

“We’re here.”

“Oh… thank you for the ride, hyung.” Harua fumbled with the seatbelt but it stuck. It wouldn’t budge at all. Of course it wouldn’t. His hands were shaking too much and he blamed his clumsiness and nervous system peaking up.

Nicholas leaned over to help.  their hands brushed in the process and Harua froze in his seat.

“Wait, let meー”

Harua’s first mistake was looking down at those veiny hands.

Click. The belt came free.

His second mistake was looking straight into Nicholas’ deep, feline eyes, warm and piercing all at once. They were only centimeters apart.

Harua should’ve bolted, opened that black Jeep’s door and sprint into his house, locking and throwing away the key so that a person named Wang Yixiang won’t be able to enter. He shouldn’t let him anywhere near the fortress he’d built around his heart, or to enter his safe barricaded heart.

But of course the universe loves to pull on a trick in his life, making him meet the plot twist that is Nicholas.

Nicholas’ hand rose slowly, cupping Harua’s cheek with impossible tenderness. Their breaths mingled. Noses brushed.

“Rua.. May I..?”

Harua’s third mistake was to give a helpless nod in that one hypnotizing moment.

He’s still trying to count his mistakes, all while his first kiss being snatched away by the person who should be banned to toy with his heart further than this. He knows for sure, for Nicholas, this would mean nothing. Harua’s first kiss won’t value a thing. As soon as this night passed, the memory would fade. Nicholas would not remember a thing and by the next morning, he would pick up a new lover. Probably kiss another pair of lips by the end of the day.

Harua’s first kiss would be just another forgotten name on an endless list.

Yet none of that stopped the surge of electricity racing through him. He melted into the slow, guiding pressure of Nicholas’ mouth ーsoft, then firmer, teaching him how to move, how to breathe, how to taste the lingering apple flavored candy a little bit more fervently. Harua kissed back with a quiet desperation, chasing every second of this temporary bliss.

Little did he know, the kiss beneath the moonlight on that autumn night wasn’t just another fleeting moment. It’s the start of something between them.

𖡼

It was winter when Harua officially became Nicholas’ boyfriend.

Not in autumn when the crisp yellow leaves fell beautifully like slow-motion to the ground. Not even after that first kiss that they shared inside the black Jeep parked in front of his house. It happened on a freezing night just days before winter break, when the air bit at their fingers and the city smelled faintly of snow.

It had taken Harua more than two months to finally accept his own heart ーand to be the one brave enough to lay it on the table.

After that kiss, he had waited. Harua naively thought that Nicholas would ask him out, to add his name to the infamous list of exes that never lasted longer than a few weeks. Holding on that “lover” label for a week or two. In some twisted way, Harua had even prepared himself for it: a short, painful romance, followed by being dumped with a clean break. Maybe it would finally cure him of his obsession and he can move on from the older.

So he really prepares himself for the worst outcome.

He had never dated anyone before. In his quiet daydreams he’d always imagined his first love would be someone meant for him alone ーsomeone who would make him want to become the best version of himself. Now that Nicholas had stormed into his life, Harua told himself not to hope. Painful heartache was coming. Maybe Nicholas is a devil sent from heaven for him to taste the bitterness of heartbreak. It doesn’t sound that bad, He could handle it.

But Nicholas never asked.

Worse, he pulled away. No more lingering touches, no second kiss. Then came the club’s Pocky game party. Harua watched, frozen, as Nicholas laughed and let someone else claim those same lips in front of everyone. The face of the other person blurred in his memory; all he could feel was the sharp twist in his chest.

For days he drowned in doubt.

Was he not good enough to even be a temporary fling? Not pretty enough, not tall enough, too awkward? Was his clumsy way of kissing too inexperienced?

Another Friday night rolled around. They went photo-hunting in the small park near Tokyo Tower, just like always. The kind senior picked him up, drove carefully, and smiled the same gentle smile. Nothing had changed ーexcept everything had.

Along the way to their destination, the silence killed him inside and one question replayed non stop like a broken cassette in his brain.

Who am I to you, hyung?

The park was lit in melancholy blues, contrasting with the fiery red of the tower above them. To any passerby they probably looked like a couple: two boys with cameras, sharing quiet laughter under winter lights. But they weren’t.

Who needs any label to their relationship, to what they have now, if only these moments are what matter the most to them?

Harua’s heart kept asking the same question, over and over, until the words finally clawed their way out.

Nico-hyung… do you like me even a little?”

His voice cracked, small and unsteady. He hadn’t meant to sound so fragile. Harua himself was surprised that from many other things he could say to the older one, his unconscious mind chose the question that felt too weak and too vulnerable for his liking.

Nicholas went very still.

“Harua…”

No more words came after he called him by his name. Instead Nicholas stepped forward and pulled him into a tight, warm hug. His heartbeat sounds loudly in his ears and deafening the other sounds around them.

Harua closed his eyes and hugged him back, breathing in the cold air and the faint trace of Nicholas’ cologne. Savoring the warmth seeping out from the person in front of him. There was no confession, not even an offer to be his lover

Just this hug ーtender, loud, but wordlessー answering every question Harua had been too afraid to voice.

And somehow, it was enough.

𖡼

It was spring when they decided they were better off alone and finally broke up for good.

He hadn’t been Nicholas’s lover for just one or two weeks ーit was four months and two weeks of a healthy, happy relationship. Days filled with pure happiness, if you asked Harua. There wasn’t a single day they weren’t together. There wasn’t a single day Harua’s photo gallery didn’t gain a new collection of his memories with Nicholas: their takeout meals, the random stray cat they fed, blurry scenes from Nicholas’s car window, candid shots of Nicholas sleeping face, aesthetically fashionable photos of their matching items and outfits.

Everyone around them kept asking how the campus-famous playboy had suddenly settled down with a quiet, bunny-like junior who wasn’t well-known and was mostly recognized for his humble black-rimmed glasses. Harua wondered the same thing himself. Apart from sharing similar tastes in food and movies, he hadn’t expected to match so well with the older man. He wanted to believe Nicholas was genuinely happy with him ーthe same way Harua was with Nicholas. He desperately wanted to believe he had become someone special, the one and only person who truly understood and complemented Nicholas.

Even so, a voice in the back of his mind kept sounding false alarms, whispering that all these beautiful moments had an expiration date he couldn’t predict.

He tried hard to ignore it, until a rumor spread across campus.

The rumor claimed Nicholas was only in a long-term relationship with him because Harua looked too much like Nicholas’s first and true love ーsomeone that now has moved to another country after being with Nicholas for two whole years. That person was soft-spoken, had a heartwarming smile, and was just a little clumsy…just a little bit like him.

Later, Harua learned that the very person might be the reason why Nicholas kept changing his lovers after their separation ーand that until Harua came into the scene.

But Harua wasn’t the type to give up because of someone’s past.

It was the monster in his mind that fed on his insecurities. He trusted that Nicholas truly cared about him for who he was, not because he resembled a shadow from the past. The way Nicholas took him for a date to every aquarium park in the city, the way he cooked for him or slipped little snacks into his bag to make sure he never skipped a meal ーthose things felt real.

Still, Harua was afraid. Afraid of showing his vulnerable sides. Afraid of getting attached too deep, only to be shattered when it was time when they needed to say goodbye.

Drizzle rain pouring lightly on the first day of May.

It’s his birthday that he never told anyone about. Not even to Nicholas.

The two of them had just finished printing photos at the club. While sorting through the prints, Harua realized something: not once had Nicholas asked him to be the subject of his photographs. They hunted for shots together and helped each other, but Nicholas never turned the lens toward Harua, he never was a muse for his photo works.

Harua’s eyes accidentally drifted to a pile of framed photos tucked at the very back of the shelf. He noticed that it’s one of the photos taken by Nicholas’ from that exhibition held last year. A sunbathed stray cat… wilted flowers… the pink moon… and the beautiful side profile of a man who now looked all too familiar.

Oh…

Oh.

Like a flickering light finally illuminating the truth, a painful realization hit him: maybe Nicholas never wanted him as a muse because Harua wasn’t worth preserving in a lasting memory.

That day, Harua left on his own. leaving a message for Nicholas.

Thank you for everything, hyung

I think we’re better off alone for now.

You don’t have to pick me up anymore

It’s summer all over again.

Almost two months have passed since Harua broke up with Nicholas.

Or so he thought. It can’t really be called a “breakup” if there was nothing to break in the first place, right?

There have been no messages from Nicholas since that day. Harua quit club activities because he was busy with academics and had been chosen as vice class representative. It wasn’t a complete lie ーhe really was busy. Busy burying himself in anything that could distract him from his first ex.

He had thought Nicholas would try to win him back, but apparently he didn’t have to work very hard to avoid him. Maybe his decision had been right after all. Maybe Nicholas had been waiting for Harua to say the words, so he wouldn’t be the bad guy in their relationship. Or maybe their relationship had never really existed in the first place.

Being vice class representative meant Harua spent most of his time in the library with Asakura Jo, one of his seniors who had been elected as class representative alongside him. Harua knows he’s the type who has difficulty opening up to new people, but somehow he feels comfortable around Jo. He can tell that it’s not only him who feels that way too.

Jo is a unique person with distinctive humor and a big appetite. Being close to him feels like having a caring, gentle big brother who makes Harua feel safe and protected.

It didn’t take long for them to grow closer.

A white Nissan Note parked in front of his street has become the new usual sight, almost erasing his attachment to that one specific black Jeep driven by the raven-haired senior.

Accentuate on the word almost.

Even though days and weeks have passed since Harua last sat in that comfortable leather seat, he still can’t get the person who sat beside him out of his mind ーone hand resting across the center console to hold Harua’s smaller hand, playing with fingers he once said were “It’s too soft, like a baby’s.”

Harua knows Jo is a good person, maybe even too good to be true. So why can’t Harua accept him the way he deserves? Whenever Jo opens the car door for himーa gesture Nicholas never didーand helps with his bags, whenever he drives on the highway playing nostalgic songs that still sound strangely unfamiliar to Harua’s ears, whenever he drops him off and asks if he can come in… it all feels too wrong.

Harua knows it’s not Jo who’s wrong.

“I’m sorry, Jo-hyung… I don’t know if I’m good with that…”

The words felt too overused now whenever Jo tried to ask if he could come by his house. He opened the door and stepped out of the car, hesitating over the next words ーhis nth white lie to himself:

“…Maybe later?”

It was technically a lie, if there would be no more “later” between them.

When Friday comes, he swears he might be hallucinating as he sees a black Jeep parked in front of his house. It’s like he’s being haunted by the ghost of someone who is very much alive and probably enjoying life without any hassle or even a fraction of memory of him.

Walking outside at night is his only way to clear his mindーor maybe just a lousy excuse to search for any trace of their shared past. Passing the park near his neighborhood where they once sat on the swings talking about their deepest worries, looking at his reflection in the road mirror where they took their first selca together, walking down the empty street where that car used to be parked.

Harua could tell himself hundreds more lies to protect his wounded heart, but he can’t lie about this: he really wishes Nicholas were still here.

The buzzing of insects on a summer night sounds like mockery to him ーa reminder of what they could have been, if only he had been braver, if only he could have swallowed his pride and truly talked things out with Nicholas.

All this time he was afraid of being loved, but the truth is he was afraid of not being loved the same way he loved. Every time he wanted to reach out and press the call button on that number, he was terrified of being rejected and risking a clean, final goodbye.

𖡼

A pop-up notification appeared on his screen. He glanced at it and saw that it was a birthday reminder. July 9th. His birthday.

He must have added it to his calendar a long time ago, never imagining that when the day arrived, there would be nothing left to celebrate. The person was long gone.

“Someone has a birthday this Friday?” Jo’s voice pulled him out of his reverie. The older man must have seen the screen from the side while it rested on Harua’s lap.

“Yeah… just someone I used to know.”

“Oh, I see… I thought it would be nice if they were someone I could be friends with. My birthday is just one day before.”

“Jo-hyung’s birthday…? This Thursday?”

“Yup. I meant to ask if you’d like to go out for dinner… if you want to, of course.”

Harua smiled, touched by the older man’s intention and feeling honored to be asked to spend the birthday with him. “Yes, I want to.”

The next day, Harua found himself in his favorite craft shop, looking for a gift he could make for the older man. He had come here to find something for Jo, but his mind couldn’t help thinking how nice that one bracelet would look on Nicholas.

If he walked out of the shop with more items than he actually needed, he wouldn’t have to explain itーbut he still had an excuse ready, just in case, to protect his fragile heart.

When time passed midnight, Harua was clutching his blanket tightly, phone beside him with the message app open showing unsent texts to a certain contact. He told himself it was just his way of coping, of not giving in to the urge to press the call button.

The past few days had blurred together; Harua felt like a zombie drifting through night after night. Before he knew it, he was sitting in the passenger seat of Jo’s car. The clock read 11:43 p.m., and the senior had just stepped outside to open the door for him.

“Harua?”

“Yes, Jo-hyung, thank you… you don’t have to, really. I can open it myself.”

“I don’t have to, but I want to.” Jo smiled and took Harua’s hand along with the paper bag he had just handed over.

At Jo’s birthday dinner, Harua had given him a handmade knitted yarn keychain shaped like a rice ball ーsomething Jo really liked and that always reminded Harua of him. It was a simple gift, but reversely Jo had surprised him with a paper bag full of Harua’s favorite snacks.

“Thank you again for the dinner and the snacks… I really wish you a happy birthday, hyung.”

“The pleasure is mine, Harua.” Jo paused and looked at the younger boy with gentle eyes. “I’d be happy if you could be happy too. So… I guess this will be our last time going out together?”

“I’m happy to spend time with you. Why… why the last…?” Harua stuttered, the words catching in his throat.

“I know. I enjoyed my time with you too. But you see… There are things that won’t change, no matter how much time passes or how strongly you wish for them. And there are also things that will eventually happen, no matter how long it takes, just because they’re meant to be.”

Jo smiled earnestly and Harua could not answer any of the words spoken to him.

“You and him must be the latter. Go and put some sense into him.”

Harua didn’t know how Jo could say all those things when he himself didn’t even know exactly what he’d been dying to hear all this time.

His mind was still floating somewhere, but his little feet were already running toward the place he knew he belonged.

He didn’t even know where Nicholas lived, what he was doing now, or how many minutes he’d been running non-stop toward the only place that came to mind. It felt almost like a haze when he saw the black Jeep parked at the park they used to visit together. He wondered if his eyes were playing tricks on him again ーif the raven-haired figure standing in front of it was just another illusion, not Nicholas himself.

“Rua… why are you here?”

Hyung…” He walked closer and clung to those arms, making sure they were real.

“Nicholas-hyung…?”

“Yes, I’m here. It’s me. What happened? Don’t tell me you’ve been running all the way here?”

“I’m sorry, IーI didn’t want to leave… Please don’t leave. My insecurities took over, and it wasn’t right of me to keep pushing you away and then say nothing at all. I… hic… didn’t have the courage to face you. I just wanted you all to myself. I was so afraid you’d be the one to say goodbye… hic… forgive me…” The younger boy kept rambling into the older man’s chest, soaking his shirt with flowing tears.

Shhh… there, there.” The rough hands that were unexpectedly soft stroked the back of his head. Nicholas pulled him into a warm embrace, shielding him from the chill summer-night breeze.

“Who said I’m leaving? I’m not going anywhere.”

They stood there, simply sharing the warmth radiating from each other. Harua spilled more tears while stuttering out all the unsent messages that had been left unsaid. Nicholas confessed that he’d been a coward too, too scared to reach out first because he thought Harua might be tired of him and his reputation. He’d been parking his car at their favorite nighttime spot every day, too ashamed to compete with the white car that had lately been dropping Harua off at home.

“All this time, I never opened myself up too much either… It’s not everyone I let in, yet you were too stubborn to go away. I’m scared of being loved too, you know?”

The younger boy nodded and hugged him even tighter.

“Can I ask you something, hyung?”

“Hmm?”

“Why do you never take and print a photo of me with your camera?”

Aaah, that… I just… Materializing you into a photograph feels like we’re going to be separated somehow? I don’t know, maybe it’s just me being afraid again… that it would make you gone from my life. I’ve wanted you for a long time.”

Harua smiled and reached up to cup the older man’s cheeks. “I won’t go awayーnot anymore. So take a photo of me sometimes, yeah?

“Only if you promise you won’t leave me anymore.”

“Promise. It’s a deal then.”

𖡼

Harua didn’t know what started it. One moment they were kissing in the back of Nicholas’s car, and the next the whole atmosphere felt hot and stuffy, the air thick with the sweet scent of olive fragrant flowers and the fading sound of cicadas.

The younger boy loved being in Nicholas’s embrace. He loved everything about the seniorーthe way his shoulders looked so wide compared to his own, the way his strong arms held him, his long mullet hair (Harua loved running his fingers through it even when the older man pretended to sulk about it), and that deep, raspy voice.

Harua clung to those broad shoulders, partly covered by the loose black tank top, as they kept kissing messily, pouring two months of pent-up longing into every touch. He knew where this was heading, but he didn’t have the courage to say itーnot until the older man spoke first.

“Rua, babe… this isn’t your first time, right?” Nicholas mumbled against his lips.

“...And what if it is…?”

Nicholas went quiet for a moment, looking at him with the softest, most endearing eyes. “I still want to do this with you, but I’m willing to wait until you’re readyーanytime you’re ready.”

“I am ready now. I can’t think of a better time than right now.”

The older man nuzzled into Harua’s neck, showering him with slow, open-mouthed kisses. Harua threw his head back, gazing up at the half-open roof and the night sky above, letting out soft, pleasured sighs. He had no experience of having sex, not even once. But if he was asked about one of his dreams, it was to be taken under the open sky. He had imagined this exact moment and had always wanted it to be with Nicholas.

The black Jeep was parked on a dark, empty street in the park, with no streetlights nearby and only the huge white moon as their only source of light. They could only hope the entire neighborhood was asleep.

Nicholas pulled back slightly to reach into the back compartment for his bag. He retrieved a pack of condoms and a bottle of lube. Harua’s mind refused to dwell on why the older man had them ready thereーhe’d ask later, when he was feeling nosy enough to tease him about it.

After pouring a generous amount of lube onto his fingers, Nicholas prepared him as gently as possible. When he felt Harua was relaxed and loosened enough, he pushed in slowly, doing his best not to hurt the delicate boy beneath him. Small groans and breathy moans from Harua only fueled his arousal.

After a while eventually he bottomed out and stilled, waiting for Harua’s signal to move.

“M-move, hyung…”

Shallow thrusts began, slow and steady at first. With each surge of sensation, Harua arched backward, spreading his thighs wider, using the back of the seat to push himself down harder onto the older man.

In the quiet of the night, the car rocked gently with every roll of their hips. The fact that they were in public only made him clench tighter around Nicholas. Soon the small space filled with heavy breathing, moans, and the rhythmic slap of skin against skin.

“Oh gosh, hyung… you’re soーunph! I’m!

Harua wished he could stay quiet, clinging to some shred of dignity, but with every thrust of Nicholas’s hips he gasped and moaned at the feeling of the thick cock inside him. It was painfully obvious how practiced the older man was.

He reached back, scrambling for anything to hold onto besides the seat. Nicholas pulled him closer, settling Harua fully in his lap. Now in a sitting position, the cock pressed even more firmly against his prostate. The sensation of Nicholas’s thigh muscles flexing as he drove deeper and deeper made Harua’s head almost brush the opened roof of the car.

This was his first time, and he already knew it would be both the best and the most shameless sexual experience he would ever have. The senior fucked into him with full force again, guiding him toward release by relentlessly hitting that spot while Harua clenched around him greedily.

“Hyung… ahー I can’tー”

Ruaー” Nicholas’s low voice was all the warning he needed; he was close too.

Everything felt too intenseーthey were almost afraid to reach the peak. Harua’s body trembled; it was all so raw, his mind turned to mush. He could feel the older man’s big hands gripping his back and the slightly bruised waist, the cock pulsing inside him like it was about to explode.

They came together after a few more deep thrusts. Harua whined loudly, squirming in Nicholas’s lap, toes curling and kicking against the blankets spread over the back seat. Nicholas stayed buried to the hilt, resting his forehead against the younger boy’s shoulder as they both rode out the aftershocks.

Shared breaths and body heat wrapped them in warmth. They simply held each other, listening to their racing heartbeats, bathed in moonlight and the clear night sky.

Summer was far from over, but as long as they were together, Harua knew they would make the most of every remaining day.
