Let's start with the banner. We decided to be bold and chose the most horrifying scene from the fic - Sam's vision of Dean burning on the ceiling. Sam is helpless and restrained by invisible demonic force and has to watch his most loved person slowly and painfully die. I, of course, choose to depict Dean in the beginning - almost unscathed.
Because of the vision Sam refuses to be close to Dean lest Dean dies. But they both want each other badly so the levels or yearning are through the roof. I drew this little scene I liked. After Croatoan, Sam allows Dean to hold his shoulder, and Dean allows himself to touch Sam's skin with his thumb. That's so... also now I realised that my fascination with hands might also have had something to do with it 😄
Next up the climax of the fic - Yellow-Eyed Demon is dead, and Sam and Dean are free to be together. They forget about everything and everyone in that moment. Which gives us this scene - Ellen and Bobby awkwardly watching two brothers make out.
Last thing I worked on was a scene break. It goes along with the banner - Sam watching Dean burn on the ceiling. Though the reflection of Dean's body engulfed by flames makes Sam's eyes look demonic, like the eyes of Prince of Hell. according2thelore liked that, and yeahm I also think it's fun and ominous.
