Work Text:
Chenle stood utterly still. His usual spark was snuffed out by the intimacy of the moment. The candlelight trembled across the room’s dark velvet drapes casting long, shivering shadows that seemed to hold their breath with him. His throat bobbed once, a small, helpless motion as Jisung leaned closer.
The vampire’s presence was a quiet storm. Jisung was cold, steady, and inescapable. When Jisung’s nose brushed just above the hollow of Chenle’s throat, his human pulse betrayed him. Despite being undressed and touched everywhere by the vampire already, having him so close to his neck felt too intimate.
The scent of iron and aged wine clung faintly to Jisung, mingling with something colder, something like night air after rain. His eyes, half-lidded in restraint, glowed faintly under the flickering gold light, and his fangs, though not yet bared, pressed against the edges of his composure. Jisung’s lips trailed kisses on the pale exposed flesh, a sweet gesture that would contrast the bloody scene of Jisung feeding.
Chenle’s fingers twitched at his sides. The soft sound of Jisung’s inhale filled the space between them, deliberate and slow, as though savoring something he had waited centuries to taste. In that stillness, Chenle understood what it meant to be prey and it was a turn on.
Jisung’s arm was coiled tightly around Chenle’s waist, pulling him flush against his chest with the unyielding authority of a creature who had long forgotten the concept of hesitation. Each breath Chenle tried to draw met resistance, a reminder that his body was no longer his own to command.
Jisung’s other hand, pale and precise, had woven itself into Chenle’s hair, fingers slipping through the soft strands before closing into a deliberate, possessive grip. Jisung tilted Chenle’s head back with a slow, inescapable pull, exposing the fragile curve of his throat to the candlelight. A few loose locks fell against Chenle’s temple, brushing trembling skin as his neck arched further, vulnerable and bare.
The motion wasn’t violent but rather controlled, almost reverent, as though Jisung were handling something exquisite, something meant to be admired before devoured. His thumb brushed idly against the base of Chenle’s skull, a ghost of gentleness that only deepened the tension. Chenle’s breath hitched, his heartbeat was wild against Jisung’s chest, and he wondered if Jisung could sense that. Jisung’s lips hovered just above that pulsing point, so close he could taste without yet biting.
Jisung’s composure dissolved as his hold around Chenle tightened, the hand at his waist drew him impossibly closer until their breaths tangled, shallow and uneven. A low moan tore from Chenle’s usually loud mouth. His fingers shot to Jisung’s arm, gripping the flesh to steady himself, though the strength that anchored him was the same that unmade him.
The world around them seemed to slow. The golden light from the candles blurred at the edges, the heavy velvet curtains swaying as if stirred by some unseen wind. Each of Chenle’s heartbeats grew louder, echoing in his skull, until even the silence felt full of that rhythm, desperate and alive, spilling into the cold stillness that was Jisung.
His breath came shallow, trembling between parted lips. His lashes fluttered, his body unsure whether to lean in or flee, but Jisung’s grip kept him steady, suspended between surrender and defiance. When Jisung finally drew back, the space between them felt hollow. The absence of his touch echoed louder than any sound. Chenle needed Jisung. It didn’t matter that he’d already been on his back for the vampire not that long ago, he needed him again.
The tension between them shattered with a soundless urgency, Jisung closed the last inch between their blushed faces. His lips found Chenle’s in a motion that felt inevitable. It was slow at first, deliberate, as if he were testing the fragile boundary between restraint and desire.
Chenle froze, breath caught somewhere between disbelief and surrender. Jisung’s mouth was cool against his own, unhurried yet consuming, the kind of kiss that drew the air from a room and left only sensation behind. The faint brush of their lips deepened, Jisung tilted his head slightly, his hand slid from Chenle’s hair to cradle the side of his jaw, thumb grazing the tremor there. It was odd. Chenle’s tastebuds caught onto something metallic, which he could only assume was his own blood. He should've been disgusted and perhaps a part of him was, but the side that was aroused won.
The world seemed to narrow until there was nothing but the echo of their uneven breathing and the whisper of fabric shifting as Chenle moved to deepen the kiss. It wasn’t gentle but it wasn’t harsh either. It was an act of claim and surrender tangled together, something neither could stop once it began.
Chenle, dizzy with the nearness, stopped thinking altogether. The cold press of Jisung’s lips became something he leaned into, answering with hesitant urgency, as though the very act of kissing him might anchor him to this strange, perilous moment. Chenle allowed himself to completely relax.
When Jisung finally drew back, his eyes were dark and his smile was wide. Chenle felt tired. Perhaps it was the blood loss or letting an immortal being have his way with him. Either way, Chenle was exactly where he wanted to be.
