Work Text:
“How far away is Bandung from Seoul?”
“I don’t know, hyung,” Daeyoung laughs. He toes off his house slippers before flopping down face first on the bed, bouncing off the mattress slightly. His voice is muffled when he speaks again. “Google it?”
“Hey, how can you ask your hyung to google it when he asks you something?”
Daeyoung laughs even harder, rolling around on the bed to lay on his back. “But I really don’t know! Okay, okay - I’m sorry. I will google it.” He takes his phone off speaker, squinting through the darkness to open Safari. “It’s 5,332 kilometers.”
Riku whistles lowly. “Oh. It’s not as far as I thought.”
“It could take you three days to swim here,” Daeyoung offers uselessly.
“Ha. How about you swim back to Seoul instead?” Riku counters back. “You could’ve done your overseas experience somewhere closer to me. You could’ve done it in Fukui, I would’ve gone back with you.”
“If I did that, I would have already missed the point of ‘overseas experience’, hyung. We’ve been through this.”
“What part of Japan isn’t overseas? It’s literally over the sea between Korea and Japan!”
“I know Fukui like the back of my hand, hyung. I’ve been there like - what? Ten times already. I know how to get around in your neighbourhood.”
“Boo,” Riku jeers. “Don’t care. It still counts as long as you’re Korean on Japanese soil.”
Daeyoung chuckles softly, turning on the mattress so that he can fully sink into the blanket. “Well, what can we do now? I’m already here.”
“Unfortunately.”
Another chuckle. Daeyoung thinks Riku is the cutest when he sulks, because that means he can fully fold himself over his boyfriend and cling onto him until he cracks. It makes his heart sink a little suddenly. Unless Daeyoung swims for three days across the treacherous ocean that separates them, he can’t even indulge in that. Riku sulking feels a little less fun now. “Unfortunately. Yes.”
There’s the faint sound of ocean waves crashing over the line, something that Daeyoung hasn’t really heard in a long time. “Hyung, are you listening to the ocean again?”
“Mm,” Riku hums sleepily, the telltale sound of his sheets rustling in the background. “I can’t really sleep, so I turned it on the TV.”
“Oh? Are you hungry?”
“No, you saw my dinner. I almost threw up from how much I ate.” Right. Riku had sent Daeyoung a photo of his samgyeopsal dinner with Sion and the other kids. Sakuya had snuck in frame, a sleazy and smug grin on his face coupled with multiple thumbs up around him. It was accompanied by a video of Riku smiling down at his camera, Daeyoung’s iPhone filled with mostly his boyfriend’s forehead. It made the lingering homesickness hit him tenfold. Daeyoung was in the middle of an on-site survey when he had to resist the urge to drop everything and get the next plane ticket to Seoul.
“It’s too cold,” Riku whined. “I usually have a heater right next to me. He pats me to sleep every night and now. He’s not here.”
Daeyoung pouts. “Your heater is very cruel. But he’s coming home in two weeks. Just two weeks more. Then I’ll promise to chain myself down to our bed and I won’t stop patting you for three days straight.”
Riku hums, thoroughly approved. “Good. I don’t like how lonely it is now.”
“Are we codependent?” Daeyoung wonders aloud. Riku snorts so loudly that it startles Daeyoung out of his little lull to sleep. “I’m losing sleep because I miss having you next to me. What do you think, puppy?”
Daeyoung’s heart does a backflip. He tries to stifle the smile that threatens to crawl onto his face, but it gets worse when Riku mumbles something devastating over the line. “Can you send me a picture? I want to see you.”
A brief look down at his bare chest. Daeyoung doesn’t even bother with shirts nowadays since his room is always cold at night. The perks of choosing Bandung as his desired city was partly because of the beautiful mountains, but also how cold the city can get at night. Trudging through the densely packed neighbourhoods in the sweltering heat is usually rewarded by the perfect amount of breeze cradling him to sleep at night from his window. He only has a pair of blue Adidas sweatpants on, the matching jacket long forgone in the depths of his luggage. Daeyoung gulps a little, sort of nervous. It’s an innocent photo. Just a selfie. It’s not like Riku’s asking for nudes.
He pulls the phone back from his ear and swipes out from the call, opening the camera app. Daeyoung stretches his arm out to catch some of his bare collarbones, but he wiggles the blanket up to cover his chest. He’s definitely meek when he presses send.
“Honey,” Riku groans, almost pained. “Why are you not wearing a shirt? What happened to your ugly jacket?”
“It’s not ugly,” Daeyoung protests weakly, but it’s only met with another frustrated noise.
“Take off the blanket please. I can’t see anything.”
“I thought you just wanted to see my face?”
Riku clicks his tongue noisily. “I said I wanted to see you. All of you.”
“That’s not what you meant,” Daeyoung teases lightheartedly.
“Baby,” the petname drops like a tonne of rocks on Daeyoung’s chest. He feels the wind actually get knocked out of him. Riku purrs it over and over. “Baby. Please. Want to see all of you.”
Suddenly, the air in his room isn’t so chilly anymore. The casual sleepy playfulness takes a sharp turn and corner, crashing straight into a territory that stirs something deep and hot in Daeyoung’s stomach. “What do you want to see?”
“All of it,” Riku doesn’t even hesitate. “Wanna see it all, please. You’ll let your hyung see it all, right?”
Daeyoung would do a triple somersault off a mountain in Bandung if Riku asked him to.
He kicks off the blanket, not caring that it ends up on the floor. Daeyoung tries to wiggle his pants down a little, just enough to have the unshaven happy trail peek out from underneath his waistband. It’s glaringly obvious that Daeyoung isn’t even wearing any underwear, so his heart thrums with a little bit more adrenaline when he presses send.
Riku takes a sharp intake of air.
It’s quiet for too long. Daeyoung has to tap back on the call to see if he’s still connected. “Hyung?”
“Baby,” Riku’s voice is smaller. Breathier. Like he’s trying to hide something. “You’re not wearing anything under?”
“N-No,” Daeyoung stumbles over his words. “I’m.. I got too lazy.”
“Too lazy,” There’s more rustling. Daeyoung swears he hears something snap against skin. “Do you want to know something, baby?”
Daeyoung makes a noise that sounds close to a barely intelligible ‘yes’.
“I’m not wearing any either,” Riku admits breathlessly. “It’s - ah, I’ve been doing this for a few days now. Just easier when I miss you too much.”
Daeyoung gulps. “Easier?” he asks, hoarsely. His heart hammers at a speed that should be concerning to Daeyoung, but he’s too busy trying not to scream. “To.. To do what?”
“Want to do it with me?”
Daeyoung’s brain melts out of his ears. He thinks he might have just died, so he pinches himself on the arm.
“Baby?” Riku calls nervously. “Too much?”
This is a line they haven’t crossed. Not sex, of course. They’ve done that more times than humanly possible to count. They’ve just never done anything dirty while so far apart. Riku has sent his fair share of seductive selfies to Daeyoung, usually those that successfully bait him out of his library study sessions. But this is… this is different. Daeyoung can’t touch Riku. Riku can’t touch Daeyoung. It’s almost like self-inflicted torture.
Throughout their entire two years of being together, Daeyoung has never really denied Riku of anything. When Riku suddenly sends him a photo of his own hand under his gray sweatpants, Daeyoung figures well - who is he to deny his boyfriend of this too?
“Never, hyung,” Daeyoung answers honestly. His cock stirs to life the more he stares at the photo. He pictures it - Riku arching his back perfectly the way he always does whenever Daeyoung has his hands on him. “I want to do it all with you.”
“Hm, so sweet,” Riku sighs and it curves off into a barely audible moan. “You’re always so sweet. Always here to help me too.”
“Wanna be there. Wanna help you.” It comes off more as a puppy-ish whine. “Miss you so much, hyung.”
More rustling. “You can help me now, puppy. Have you started touching yourself?”
“No,” Daeyoung groans. “I’ve been.. I’ve been waiting to ask you. If I can.”
“Hah. Ah, baby - you’re too good for me, do you know that?” Riku sounds positively broken, a tremble to his voice that only gets worse as the seconds tick by. “You can touch yourself, baby. Get your hand nice and wet the way I always do.”
Daeyoung wastes no time. He puts his boyfriend on speakerphone, drops his phone right beside his ear, clumsily shoves his sweatpants down before gathering some spit on his hand. Riku is always messy with it, something that he does on purpose since he knows the deep, pervertic monster inside of Daeyoung loves it like that. He only puts a hand on himself when his own spits trickles down to his stiffening cock.
The sound Daeyoung lets out only eggs Riku on further. “Do it like how I would do it for you.”
It’s almost second nature for Daeyoung. He gathers the little blob of precome on his thumb and spreads it around as he moves his hand at an aggravating pace. Daeyoung knows he could speed it up and lap up whatever noises pouring over Riku’s side of the line. But he doesn’t - because Riku knows Daeyoung loves being slowly tortured like this. His hand doesn’t move at a quicker pace. He fondles his own balls when he gets down there, trying to imagine if Riku was down there with his tongue instead.
“Feels good, hyung,” Daeyoung breathes out. “Is it good for you too?”
“Mm, no,” Riku whines again. He gets caught on a moan before continuing. “Doesn’t.. Doesn’t feel as good. Your hands are bigger. You can touch my cock better. When.. When I try to use my fingers, it’s not as good.” Daeyoung can’t stop the loud moan from tumbling out of his mouth. “Need you, baby. Only you can make it good.”
“Yeah?” Daeyoung strokes himself quicker. Knows that Riku only gets mouthy like this when he’s about to come. “Want to touch you too. Haven’t.. Haven’t touched myself because it’s not as good as you, hyung.”
Riku hiccups. “Shit. Daeyoung-ah. Daeyoung-ie.” Desperate cries ring out throughout the room. “Not enough, Daeng-ie. It’s not enough.”
“Put a finger in, hyung,” Daeyoung coaxes gently. “Then just the tip. Touch only the tip.”
The pained sob Riku lets out is beautiful. Daeyoung has to clench to stave off from a too-quick orgasm. “Fuck,” Riku curses and it is melodic off of his lips. Riku doesn’t swear, but he opens a bottle and squirts something generously. He curses again when his breath audibly hitches. “Baby. Baby, it’s.. It’s good now… You’re so good. You always know how to touch me.”
“I’m good?” Daeyoung screws his eyes shut and tries to imagine it. His boyfriend - pants not even shoved down properly as his cock peeks out from behind the waistband. It’s an angry red and curves a little, drenched in lube and spit. Then, a finger pumping in and out of Riku’s tight little hole. It nearly sends Daeyoung into a madden-filled panic. “You’re beautiful, hyung.. You’re always beautiful like this.”
It happens without much warning. Riku cries out something unintelligible. All the squelching from the lube and the sound of skin against skin comes to a complete stop. Riku’s haphazard exhales trails off, but Daeyoung doesn’t stop touching himself. He’s still trying to be gentle with it, but breaks all resolve when another photo comes in.
The hoodie Riku has on is completely stained in white. It’s Daeyoung’s Yonsei hoodie.
Daeyoung comes so hard, he knocks his phone off the bed and onto the floor.
“Daeyoung-ah?”
“Yeah?”
“... Are you still alive?”
Daeyoung huffs under his breath. “Just barely. Why?”
“Talk to me,” Riku mumbles sleepily. Daeyoung has half a mind to at least ask if he’s cleaned himself up. “I already did, baby. I just.. Really wanna hear your voice now. Talk to me before you fall asleep?”
“Okay, hyung,” Daeyoung curls closer into his mess of blankets, burying his nose deep into his pillow. He pictures the soft, cool fabric against his cheek as Riku’s chest. If he tries hard enough, he can smell Riku’s body gel and the flowery fabric softener they use at home. “You met up with the others?”
“Mm. Sionie hyung wanted to treat us all to dinner because he got a promotion. You should congratulate him tomorrow. I forgot to tell you.”
“Oh!” Daeyoung cheers softly. “I’m glad. He shouldn’t work so hard for no reason.”
“Uhuh. What else did I do… Oh, I went to get groceries today. It’s kind of hard to shop for one.. Did you know so many things come in pairs? Like those packaged oranges you like. Or chicken drumsticks. I don’t even know why I bought that, I don’t know how to cook,” Riku complains. “I just keep thinking that you’re here. I put your favourite banana milk in the cart too but only realized when the cashier already scanned it. I don’t even like to drink milk like that.”
Something warm sinks in Daeyoung’s chest. He grins, hiding it in his pillow. “You should, hyung. It’s good for you.”
“Yeah, yeah. I also did the laundry today. Did some work while I was waiting for my clothes to dry. I didn’t think the laundromat could be so depressing, it’s usually so fun.”
“Because I’m usually right there with you?”
“Exactly,” Riku sighs. “I really miss you. You know?”
Daeyoung doesn’t think he has the right to blush like a meek schoolgirl right now, but he does anyway. “Ha. I miss you too, hyung. Nothing here is that much fun without you around too.”
“Oh? You’re lying!” Riku teases playfully. “I saw your Instagram stories. You had so much fun hiking with your friends. I wouldn’t have done that with you.”
“Well, of course you wouldn’t have. But there’s other things we could’ve done here together, hyung.”
“Really?” Riku yawns before smacking his lips noisily. “Like what?”
“Firstly, the food is really good here. I think you would like this thing called martabak? It’s just a really thick pancake with some cheese and chocolate and condensed milk. Super sweet but you like that so I know you would love it.”
“Wah, sounds good..”
“Secondly, there’s a lot of places to thrift around here. I’m clueless about fashion without you, so I was really wishing that you were here with me. You would know the perfect way to style all these cool things.”
Riku agrees with another hum.
“It’s sort of cold here though, so you might find it a little bit annoying,” Daeyoung says softly. He feels his own sleepiness overtaking his limbs and muscles, relaxing them further when he hears Riku’s soft but steady breathing over the line. “But it would be fine since I’m with you. I’d hold you close to me the way I always do and force you to wear my jacket.”
“Ah. Cold here. In Seoul.”
“I know,” Daeyoung closes his eyes. Let me rest them for a while. “I checked the weather app today. That’s why I nagged you to wear your coat out.”
“It’s cold because you’re away.”
Daeyoung laughs. Warmth blossoms across his chest. “I’ll be home soon. Then it won’t be so cold anymore, okay?”
“Mm. Love you.”
Sleep is only one more ‘I love you’ away, so Daeyoung whispers it into the phone before the line goes quiet. Somewhere in his daze, he swears he smells apple shower gel and flowery fabric softener.
