“You’d look so beautiful in this,” Kai purred softly, holding up the object so Shade could see. It was a dark blue leather collar, with a silver tag hanging off it. Even from here, Shade could see his name scrawled across the tag.
“How much did that cost?”
“Don’t mind the cost,” Kai told him.
“Yeah, but…I feel weird when you buy me expensive stuff like that.” Shade blushed. Not that he was against the idea of being a sugar baby, even though he’d literally explode from pure embarrassment if anyone called him that. But still, Shade didn’t come from money. Even if Kai didn’t either, he still earned significant reparations by being a ninja, and thus it allowed him to spoil his boyfriend.
“I didn’t buy it because it was expensive, I bought it because you’d look cute in it.” Kai was pouting now. “You don’t wanna look cute for me, baby?”
Shade blushed some more. He did like looking cute for Kai. His boyfriend would heap so much praise and adoration on him that Shade would literally just start melting from the compliments alone. Maybe it was something about the way he spoke, so husky and seductive. Or maybe Shade was just a slat for praise. Both things could be true at the same time.
“You’re gonna be the death of me, fireball,” Shade grumbled. “This better not end up on the Internet tomorrow.”
Kai’s eyes began to sparkle. “Wait, is that a yes? We’re doing it?”
Shade’s response was mumbled under his breath.
“Come on, baby. You gotta speak up. I wanna hear you say that you want it.”
Shade mumbled some more and then shoved his face into Kai’s chest. Kai just laughed and stroked Shade’s hair. “Aw, no worries. I’m not gonna tease you. Now, let’s get you nice and pretty for me. Daddy wants to see his pet.”
Shade felt his breath hitch ever so slightly as the collar was fastened around his neck. Kai’s hands were so incredibly warm and soft. The collar was snug, but not constricting. Just enough for Shade to feel the fabric on his skin. The tag jangled in the air.
At once, Shade suddenly felt light and he slumped against Kai. Had it not been for the ninja holding him up, he probably would’ve landed on the bed. It was the cold metal of the tag against his collarbone that brought him back to reality and he looked up at Kai with wide eyes.
“Am I cute now?”
“The absolute cutest,” Kai chuckled.
