Work Text:
For most in Class 1-A, they only met at the entrance exams.
However, for some, they had met way before those exams. Take Bakugou and Izuku, for example; they’ve been connected since birth. Most, somehow not all, know of their “childhood friends” history, but they’re not the only instance of people who go back.
Yaoyorozu remembers the first time she met Bakugou: a fashion show—more specifically, a fantasy-themed exhibit.
It was her beginning in the art, a supposed “passing on the torch” by her mother, a world-renowned model. She was happy, of course, who wouldn’t be happy to walk on a stage, taking in all of the glory, but a part of her knew that this wasn’t what she dreamt of being. For her, she wanted to be a hero —a person who “takes in all the glory” in a different way—a better way, if you ask Momo.
“Wow, you look incredible! I’m so excited my baby’s going to be a model!” Her mom cheesed, gazing at the dress a 12-year-old Yaoyorozu was put in. It resembled a medieval princess: a low green and gold corset on her chest, flowing seamlessly into a white, long skirt with sage and gold accents, a long cut in the skirt showing her waxed legs. It had short, almost no sleeves; fancy embroidery across the small plain. For other accessories, she had numerous gold cuffs and rings placed on her arms. Her hair was decorated with a simple crown with a small gem in the middle, either a rounded quartz or diamond, Momo couldn’t tell.
Yaoyorozu smiled while looking in the full-length mirror, admiring herself before furrowing her eyebrows. “It’s nice, don’t get me wrong, Mom, but it’s showing a lot of my body, don’t you think?”
Her mom tightened her smile, shooing the wardrobe stylists out of the room. “Yes, it is, but,” she took a short pause, “it’s normal for models to show a little skin. You’ve seen Mayu in her shows before; she’s showing a lot more skin than you, and she’s comfortable. It only makes sense for your clothes to be a little… revealing, yes?” She continued as the personnel started filling the room again.
Her mom was referring to Tomioka Mayu, her older cousin by only a few years. She began modeling at a young age, around 8, and gained significant popularity due to her striking appearance. She began endorsing international brands only a year after her career kicked off, earning lots of money—not that money was an issue; Momo’s entire family was “well-taken care of”, in her parents’ words.
Yaomomo gave a slight grin, though not understanding the way her mom came to that conclusion, she had to be right, mothers always are correct, right?
“Model number 20, it’s your turn! Go now!” The stage manager yelled. Momo jumped, unprepared, as an employee gently pushed her to move off the styling platform. She sent a sharp look to the person before walking to the door, tenderly wiping off the anxiety-induced sweat beads on her forehead. She prepared a docile smile, starting to walk down the runway.
Chik! Chik! The cameras flashed, hundreds of them, Momo counted in her peripheral vision. She couldn’t look at the cameras, of course.
“You cannot look at anything on the runway; not cameras, people, hell, even if there are protesters, you cannot look anywhere else. Always look straight.” The main show stylist’s words rang in her ears; it was the first rule of runway etiquette.
Her long, black hair swayed subtly in front of the audience, thanks to the fan placed at the front of the strip. She winced at the pressure, quickly covering it up as she turned back around, going back into the doors as the next model came in.
“Great job, honey!” Her father praised, clinking his champagne flute with Momo’s sparkling cider. The corners of Momo’s mouth innately turned upwards as her mother came to sit at the table, another flute of champagne in her hand.
“What your father said, sweetheart.” Her mother brushed off, cutting off whatever Yaoyorozu was going to say, “Anyways, I have some people that I’d like to introduce you to. As we always say, networking is an important thing, especially for a model!”
Momo rolled her eyes while her mother started walking towards what she would call “socialites”, or, in layman’s terms, people who know a lot of people. It was Yaoyorozu’s least favorite part of the after parties; unfortunately, it was the most important part.
She put on a strained smile as her mom led her to a family—a family of 3, to be specific.
Momo’s instructors would tell her to look up who’s attending the fashion show—models, families, designers—before it actually began, learning insights to “build connections”. She never cared to do this; instead, she analyzed the people right before she was introduced, and it worked.
“This is the Bakugou family! You might recognize my daughter, Momo. She’s the same age as Katsuki.” Her mother presented. The Bakugous all grinned happily, announcing themselves one by one.
Finally, it was the son of the supposedly happy couple’s turn. He turned to Momo and her mom, a pinched expression on his face (Relatable.) “Nice to meet you, I’m Katsuki. I, along with you, walked the runway today. You might not have seen me, though, as I went first.” He recited, his eyes wandering elsewhere as if he had practiced this.
The parents simpered, grouping themselves as they talked, leaving Katsuki and Momo alone.
“So, Bakugou-san, how’s the modeling career going for you?” She questioned, boredly trying to make small talk while their begetters chattered.
“Ugh, don’t start with that small talk shit. If you don’t want to talk, don’t. Saves us all the trouble.” He sneered, surprising Momo. She nearly stepped back, shocked at the sudden switch to casual language.
She quickly shut her mouth, a small smile on her face as she realized that she could stay silent.
They stayed like that for a while, relishing in the other muffled conversations before Bakugou spoke up. “So, what the hell have they got you in?”
“Uh, it’s a medieval–” she started, almost immediately getting cut off by Bakugou. “No, I know what it is, I was being sarcastic. It’s just revealing as fuck. Something no one in their right mind would put a fucking 12-year-old in.”
Momo impulsively chuckled, earning an eyebrow raise from her dad. “Yeah, that’s what I told my mom. She told me it was ‘part of a model’s experience’ or whatever.”
“What the hell is she on? Only sick fucks would put this on you. Hell, I think those older girls over there are more covered up than you.” He retorted.
Momo giggled, looking over at the taller, older girls, and saw that they were showing less skin.
About to point this out, she opened her mouth, only to get cut off by her dad. “Honey, it’s time to go. See you all later!”
Momo clenched her jaw, sending a fleeting smile to Bakugou as he, also, got whisked away by his parents. Maybe I’ll see him again.
What she would later find out is that this would be the start of one of the most confusing friendships, at least for Class 1-A.
.
one (first years)
“Good luck.” Momo’s chauffeur coolly uttered, rolling up the vehicle’s windows as he departed.
She was standing at the entrance of U-A, the most prestigious school for heroics. Fondness engulfed her body; she was here.
Of course, it had taken a lot of convincing, especially for her mom, who objected every time it was brought up. She did presentations, showed statistics, and even spoke honestly to her family. After 2 weeks of straight pleading, her mom finally compromised, stating that she would be able to attend U.A. only if she still did a modeling gig every 2 weeks. Momo was ecstatic, hugging her mom too tightly for comfort. Her mom shoved her off, like normal, but a small smile had tugged at her lips.
In the back of her mind, she was still thinking about her last interaction with Bakugou.
Ever since they met 3 years ago, they'd talked at other gigs, catching up on life.
The last time they saw each other was two months ago, at Ryuku Atama's winter show.
Bakugou had turned to her during the start of their short intermission, a wide grin on his face. "Guess what?"
"What?"
"I'm going to try out for the U.A. entrance exams!"
Momo's breath got caught in her throat. He's also going to be a hero?
She counted back from five in her head, opening her eyes to find Bakugou staring at her quizzically. "Me too." She nervously ended. She'd gotten close to Bakugou over the years, but she still wasn't sure how he'd react. What if he hits me? What if he doesn't want me to be a hero? Will he stop talking to me?
Strangely enough, Bakugou's eyes uncharacteristically widened before settling down, offering a handshake. "May the best one get in." He said.
"May the best one get in," Yaomomo repeated, leering.
Immediately after that, large bass drum music played from the overhead speakers, signaling that the show was starting. Yaoyorozu turned to the runway with Bakugou, both leaving as soon as it ended.
Yaoyorozu had seen him at the exam, of course, blasting through the bots effortlessly, but she still wasn’t sure whether he’d gotten in or not. It was the only relationship where she wasn’t treated like an object or someone who knew nothing.
The moment she stepped into the classroom, an uproar of chatter flooded her ears. Momo flinched slightly, opening her eyes after it became a little quieter.
She assessed the classroom, landing on one person: Bakugou. Her eyes sparkled with delight, ready to talk. Unfortunately, she found that her seat was in the back row.
Yaoyorozu huffed, placing down her stuff at her desk. She was right next to what seems to be Endeavor’s son, the number two hero. In front of her, though, a small purple boy turned towards her. “Hey, did you know they’re doing a swimsuit contest tomorrow? Whoever wears the best one wins!” He smirked, playing with the detached grape ball on his head.
Momo nodded in agreement, mentally noting down the contest, deciding that winning might just be her gateway into making friendships at UA!
Abruptly, Bakugou stomped his way to Mineta’s seat, a scowl etched deep in his face, whispering something that made Mineta turn pale. “O-oh, never mind! I-I was just j-joking!” The grape colored boy stuttered.
Bakugou nodded, pivoting to Yaoyorozu. “Don’t fall for these perverts’ things so blindly, Princess.” He explained.
He used the nickname? She nodded again, erasing that mental note from her mind and writing a new one: ‘don’t listen to Mineta’
A couple of seats away, certain people had picked up on the incident, specifically the nickname Momo had gotten.
“Whoa, Princess? You think they’re together or something?” Kaminari whispered to Kirishima, a new friend he’d made at the entrance exams.
Kirishima dipped his head to Kaminari, “Probably, you don’t just call anyone Princess. Especially that dude, I met him at the exams, and the guy was super stone-faced!”
The two fell silent as the new homeroom teacher walked in, lazily acquainting himself with his students as he dropped to the floor, submerging himself in a large yellow sleeping bag.
.
two (second years)
"You're going to die, little hero."
Sludge engulfs his body, trapping him
Bakugou tries to scream, only giving an opening for sludge to come in, filling his mouth
With his limited vision, he sees bystanders recording, in shock, but not doing something
A hero! He spots, widening his eyes to attract them as the sludge wraps around his throat, choking him
But that does nothing, as the person aimlessly walks away from Bakugou, typing something on their phone
"What are your la—oh, never mind, you can't even talk!" The villain cackles, seeping the sludge down his lungs
I can't breathe, I can't breathe, I CAN'T—
Bakugou wakes up in a cold sweat, a cut-off scream still in the back of his throat as he eyes his bedsheets, looking at the burn marks littered on his sheets.
Ever since the war, the nightmares of his past attacks have sprung up much, much more frequently.
It's the second nightmare this week of that attack, his brain unhelpfully supplies, while he wipes the sweat beads formed on his forehead. Huffing, Katsuki gets up.
1:12 am. Just his luck.
Bakugou throws on a loose tank top, leaving as much neck space as possible (for no specific reason, fuck you) before heading downstairs to the kitchen, in aid of a drink to quench his ever-lastingly dry mouth.
Ding! Ding! Ding! The elevator opens up. Katsuki steps out of it, letting the cool, conditioned air of the main floor hit his body like a brick. He walks to the common room, arms already prepped to turn on the light, only to find the light already on.
Odd. Bakugou thinks, cracking his knuckles peacefully as he steps inside the kitchen, finding a disheveled Yaoyorozu thrown across 3 different barstool chairs, her hair knotted and messy, matching the state of her worn-down pajamas. She seemed to be holding a cup of tea—Earl Grey, Bakugou assumes, since it's the only tea box opened on the counter—before it was placed down, clattering on the marble countertop.
Bakugou, as much as he hates to, finds himself wanting to ask her what's going on, but he pushes that emotion deep down.
He turns to the metallic fridge, opening it and grabbing a bottle of chilled mango Ramune—it's unhealthy, that's a fact, but he just had a fucking nightmare, so give him a break.
The sound of the drink opening suddenly wakes Momo out of her trance, jumping and almost falling out of the chair if it wasn't for Bakugou's quick response, grabbing her arm for stabilization.
Realizing how unkempt she looked, her face grew ashen as she hurriedly tried to iron out the wrinkles on her shirt. "A-ah! Sorry, Bakugou-san!"
Katsuki sighed, loudly, sitting on a stool not knocked over by Yaomomo. "You confuse me, Princess."
Momo turns towards Bakugou, eyes slightly squinted in confusion. "Huh?"
"I mean, we've known each other for more than 3 fucking years and you still use that fuck ass '-san' at the end of my name. Hell, we've fought a fucking war together." Bakugou reiterates, leisurely taking a sip of the beverage.
Yaoyorozu flushes, in embarrassment or anger, Bakugou couldn't tell. "Well then, what should I call you?"
"Anything but that shitty, formal-ass name." Katsuki hides a laugh, "No, but seriously, you can call me Katsuki."
"Katsuki," Yaomomo starts, peculiarly enunciating it while Bakugou smirks, "How come the others don't call you that then?"
Bakugou smirks, "I gave them the option ta', but all 'em said it sounded strange or sum' shit like that."
Momo nods, picking up her room-temperature tea and heading headfirst into the couch, collapsing onto the cushions. Bakugou laughs, placing his drink on the counter before sitting down on the sofa as well, snuggling his leg underneath one of her thighs.
"You can call me Momo, you know." She smiles, her voice becoming less muffled as she removes her face from the pillow.
"Momo," Katsuki starts, talking with a mock British accent, "Eugh. Nah, I'm good. Yer name's too posh; makes me sound like a fuckin' butler." He scrunches his face up. Yaoyorozu laughs loudly as the two fall asleep on the couch, paying no mind to the mess of drinks they've created in the kitchen.
Ding! Ding! Ding! Hagakure's alarm yells. Toru whines, turning to her nightstand and taking a peek at the time before aggressively hitting snooze.
It's 10 am already?! She thinks, rushing out of bed with a panicked look (or what she thinks is a panicked look on her face; it's hard to mimic emotions when you can't see your own face, okay!).
It wasn't a school day, thankfully, but she still had plans with Mina to go to the mall at 10:30! And Ashido is not known to be one to be forgiving about missing mall trips. The last time Ochako missed an outing to the mall, Mina didn't talk to her for a week. It took one of Denki's pranks, shoving them in the laundry room together, for them to reconcile (in regular terms, Uraraka had to sign a formal contract stating that she would never miss another outing again, while Mina stared her dead in the eye).
Running to her bathroom (and tripping over her clothes), she quickly took a shower and put on a casual outfit consisting of a loose baby blue cardigan, light-washed jeans, and black sneakers.
Toru pulled out her phone, realizing that she had gotten 4 voicemails from Ochako and 5 from Mina. Shit.
She clicked on the call, putting on a faux smile like they could see her through the phone. "Ah, yeah, I'll be there in like 5 minutes! I'm just," Hagakure paused, trying to think of a viable excuse while walking around the hallway, "getting a bite to eat from the common room!" She finished, ending her call with Mina abruptly.
Surprisingly, when she enters the common room, there's no one. Hmph, they're probably still sleeping, lucky them!
However, the abundance of littered cups and knocked-over chairs makes it seem like there was a party here (that she wasn't invited to, but there are bigger issues to face!)
Her eyes roam around the room, going agape when she sees the couch.
There, in the flesh, are Momo Yaoyo-freakin'-rozu and Katsuki-freakin'-Bakugou on the couch, sleeping. Together.
Bakugou's arms are wrapped around Momo while one of her legs is snugly tight on his thighs.
No. Way.
She immediately forgoes eating breakfast; this is far more important! Toru opens her phone, going straight to messages before creating a new group chat.

itsuravityyy: WHAT WHAT SPILL WHAT HAPPENED NOW
"Ashido Mina" has changed her name to "pinkqueen"
pinkqueen: IS THIS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING WHILE WE WERE WAITING IN THIS FUCKASS CAR??? COME TO THE CAR RIGHT FUCKIN NOW
Hagakure winces, remembering that her actual goal was to get to the car. Quickly grabbing a banana, she runs to Mina's bright pink convertible, windows rolled down, while music blasts from the inside.
"TORUUU!!!" Ochako screams in the midst of her rather loud singing. Hagakure smiles, getting comfortable in the back seat before giving a slight smile and nod to Jirou, still surprised that she came at all.
From the corner of her eye, Hagakure can see Tsuyu reciting a quick prayer as Ashido starts the car. Mina had just gotten her license less than a month ago and had quickly become one of the most reckless drivers in Japan.
A week after she got her license, she—according to Ochako, who was next to her in the moment—begged her dad on the phone, crying and everything, to let her get a car. Her parents, reluctantly, agreed, and since then, she's been unstoppable.
"So, Toru. What was that photo???" Ashido asked, elongating all the words as she lowered the song's volume and extended the car's roof back on, allowing for some privacy.
Hagakure burst into explanation, full of enthusiasm. "OK! So, basically, I was getting ready for this and whatever. I come downstairs into the common room, and voila!, I see Bakugou and Momo on the couch! They're like sprawled out on the couch, and I don't know if you could see it from the photo, but Bakugou's hand was like totally wrapped around both her thighs!!"
Tsuyu, Ochako, and Mina gasp, immersed in the story. Ochako opens her mouth, but Mina cuts her off, "Total couple goals!!" She screams, speeding up her car dangerously.
Jirou makes a small 'o' noise, removing one of her earjacks from her ear. The car goes quiet, awaiting her response. Kyouka never talks, especially during girls' trips. So, when she does, it's always a special event. "Um, I thought they were just friends, right?"
Ochako smiles, "Me too, but their dynamic is kinda cool! Like a total wannabe bad boy versus a literal rich princess, it's totally out of a romance book!"
Kyouka nods her head, lost in her thoughts.
"Okay, we're here, girls!" Mina shouts, locking the car as they step out into the mall.
The conversation ends, getting pushed under the many other ones about clothes.

three (second years)
"Have you ever had a crush before?" Yaoyorozu ponders, messing with her hair as she lies upside down in Bakugou's bed.
This had become a normal routine for them after the war; one of them would come to the other's room and, well, talk. Usually, it was Momo coming to Bakugou's room, but on certain occasions, Bakugou would slam her door open and come inside, engulfing himself in her bedsheets.
"Have I ever had a crush before?" Bakugou mocks, sitting down on an orange beanbag facing Momo, "Of course I fuckin' have. What's this all about?"
Yaoyorozu huffs, starting to braid a thin piece of hair in the front of her head. "Hypothetically, purely hypothetical, if one were to have a crush on someone, how would they, um, pursue them?" She asks nervously.
Katsuki laughs, making Momo flinch in shock. She turns to him, only to find that he's burst out laughing even more, trying—but failing—to muffle it with his hand.
"What's so funny?"
"It's just—Princess, Momo, you can just say you have a crush on Ears, it won't hurt you, y'know." Bakugou ceases his laughter, becoming serious towards the end of the sentence.
Yaomomo stutters, face blown red in embarrassment. "I-I'm not a, I d-don't have a crush on Kyouka! If anything, you have a crush on Midoriya!"
Bakugou tilts his head, raising an eyebrow. "You can't be serious, right? Not only am I dating Deku, but your gayness lights up a fucking room."
Momo blushes again, taking a deep breath before continuing. "Um, how'd you know?" She questions, tapping her fingers on the mattress.
"First, I've known you were a lesbian since you were 12. You looked at that model at that one CDG show like she gave you a fucking lap dance." Momo coughs loudly, memories coming to mind. "Second, I knew you liked Ears when she was training at the gym, and you were staring. Directly. At. Her. " Yaoyorozu squeaks.
"Oh. I thought I was being, um, sneaky?" She furrows her eyebrows. Bakugou chuckles again, absentmindedly reorganizing the manga on his bookshelf in alphabetical and chronological order.
After a few beats of silence, Momo picks up the conversation again. "Do you think Kyouka likes me, though? I don't think she does, I mean, she might be straight. There's no way she-" Bakugou cuts her off with a large thunk! noise. Yaomomo looks up to find Katsuki's head lying flat on his desk. She manages to make out a small sound, making his head lift back up again.
"You are whipped, Princess,"
Yaoyorozu's face blooms with colors as Bakugou continues to speak, "She obviously likes you, have you not seen her staring?" Yaomomo shakes her head no, "You both look—no yearn for each other like nobody's business—oh my fucking God I'm getting annoyed just thinking about it! Ask her out!" He finishes, cementing the idea in her head.
Momo lays her head back on his bed, digesting the information before talking with a much more sincere tone. "Seriously?"
"100-fucking-percent."
She smiles, only to get interrupted by a large knock on the door. A second later, Ochako, Denki, Kirishima, and Sero come in, a pile of papers in each of their hands.
"Fuck ya' want?" Bakugou asks, obviously irritated.
The friends take one large look at the room, scoping out the scene before hustling back out, yelling a quick "Sorry!".
Huh, weird. Katsuki thinks, dismissing the thought away as he continues speaking to Momo.
"Okay, so they're obviously together!" Sero whisper-yells to the group. They're still walking back to their dorms, all in unison, while gossiping about the sight they just witnessed.
Ochako nods. "Yeah. I forgot it, but a while back, like a year ago, Toru caught Bakugou and Momo sleeping on the couch. Together!"
The boys gasp at the revelation, Denki the loudest. "Man, I didn't know Bakubro had game like that! To be honest, I thought he was gay. Like, the way he checks out Midobro is nothing short of homo!" Kaminari yells as the other boys nod.
The four depart after they reach the elevator, all going to their rooms to study alone.
Ochako, in her dorm, pulls out her phone, clicking on the old group chat.

Ochako put her phone down after taking a glance at the clock. Realizing it was way past her self-assigned bedtime (it works okay!), she turned her phone off, relaxing into her bed as she drifted away to sleep.
.
four (class 2-a)
Bakugou meddled with his hearing aids in the common room, adjusting the volume to how much he was feeling his classmates (today, right in the middle).
Oh yeah, in case he forgot to mention it, he has hearing aids. It's partially because of his quirk, his eardrums not properly adapting to the loud noise of the explosions like intended, but mainly because of The War. Something about the combination of the amount of pressure combat put on his heart, the extent of injuries, and his quirk… a mishap of sorts made his hearing deteriorate at an even faster rate, according to his doctors. Thankfully, he's still able to hear from a small range without the device, but it helps a lot when he has them in.
He's had these for around 2 years now, and he's slowly started to appreciate them. Still, he sometimes reminisces on the times when he didn't have these… complications.
It wasn't like he didn't have hearing aids in middle school, but they were easier to hide. Before, they were small, clear little pieces that he could snuggle into his ear canal, avoiding any notice of them from his classmates. Now, the hearing aids were obvious; a bright orange with a cartoony explosion displayed in the middle of the device.
As soon as he locked in his adjustments, a voice immediately came into his ears.
"Baku-bro!" Katsuki turned around, clenching his jaw at Pikachu. He had his hand up, brightly waving to Bakugou.
"What?"
"You gonna come to the hangout?" Bakugou raises an eyebrow. What hangout? "The one at the park today at 6:00? We've been planning it for like a week?"
Ah. That hangout. Fortunately for him, Yaoyorozu and he had a party to attend to. Katsuki shakes his head no. "Can't. Have something 'round then."
"Ooo, okay, I get it. What 'cha doing Bakubro~?" Kaminari mimics Bakugou's raised eyebrow. Katsuki internally groans, losing a mental battle between slapping him across the face for privacy reasons or talking to him, like a "normal" person, whatever the hell that means.
"Don't have to tell you anything." He decides, swiping a banana from the fruit basket and walking back upstairs.
Unbeknownst to him, Kaminari waits for a little bit after he goes up, going straight to his phone and messaging Mina that Bakugou and Yaoyorozu had plans… together.
"The fit looks fly, babe!" Camie screams into his phone. Bakugou winces at the volume, giving a small nod.
The "fit" Camie was talking about was a simple black turtleneck, blazer, and jeans, adorned with silver rings and necklaces. It was casual enough to fit in with the crowd, and distinct enough to still look dressed for the after-party.
What he and Momo were celebrating, Bakugou didn't know. All he heard was that for one of his shows, they were holding a "mandatory" party. In other words, the brand needed to look famous and fancy.
"Thanks, Doll-face. See ya." He breathes, ending the call as soon as a knock echoes through his room.
Perfect timing.
He opens it, greeted with an almost monotone Yaoyorozu standing at his door. "Are you ready?"
Bakugou nods, letting her guide him to the fancy limo the brand prepared before he started speaking.
"So… want to explain the outfit or what?" He asks her quietly enough so the driver doesn't hear.
Momo huffs, peering down at the wear. It's a silky, long red dress, the color perfectly matching her hero costume. On her neck, she has a silver chain with a shining emerald. "Ma chose it for me, said I have to look perfect for the party tonight. Apparently, some press is going to be there. Wouldn't want the good ol' Yaoyorozu family looking bad." She says the last part with a thick tone, dripping with sarcasm.
Katsuki laughs a little, stifling it as soon as they reach the entrance.
"You gotta be kidding me." He deadpans at the innumerable quantity of white flashes and cameras he sees. Momo also takes note, a slight "oh" coming out of her.
It's not the largest number of cameras they've seen, but it's impressive for an after-party.
They take a deep breath before coming out of the car, a blazing fake smile plastered on their faces.
God help me, Bakugou thinks, his mind immediately going into autopilot as he enters the doors.
"Yo. Yo!" Kirishima beckons to Kaminari, who's currently messily arranged on the common room couch. "Have you checked Model Gazette Global?! Bakubro and Momo are on it!" He finishes, grabbing the attention of the rest of the people in the room.
Mina looks up swiftly, immediately grabbing the remote from the table, putting on the channel just as the reporter speaks.
"—more on that later. Now, in more recent news, the famous brand Chéri held an extravagant after-party last night for all their models. More prominently, the popular second-year hero students Bakugou Katsuki and Momo Yaoyorozu came. Unsurprisingly, they were the life of the party."
[A photo is displayed on the screen, showing the pair's original outfits. Soon after that, a video begins to play. After a couple of seconds, a distinct spiky-haired person comes into view, shouting "SHOTS!" as the other people gathered start to cheer. The next scene is of Yaoyorozu downing what seems to be a liter of vodka while people crowd her as well. ]
"It seems that the students, despite their recent injuries, are enjoying life to the fullest. However, underage drinking is not the only thing the two are up to." The reporter continues, a smirk on her face.
[As the past images disappear, a new one comes up, presenting Momo next to Bakugou Katsuki, engaging in active conversation with each other as they both hold a martini glass in their hands. They seem to be wearing different, more revealing clothes than they came to the party with. For Katsuki, he's removed the black shirt he wore underneath and is just in a blazer, putting his chest on full display. As for Momo, she's replaced her long, silky red dress with a cropped matching red blouse, pairing it with tiny denim shorts and long stiletto heels, showing off her waist.]
"Your eyes are not fooling you. It seems our very own hero students are fraternizing with each other. For more news, go to modelgazetteglobal.com. We're going to be taking a quick commercial break."
The segment ends, going to the first ad and leaving the room in complete silence as Iida absentmindedly turns off the TV, a thick vein protruding out of his forehead.
"So, they're models," Tenya takes a breath, trying to cease the steam coming out of his nostrils, "that might be dating?" he ends uncomfortably, shifting in his seat. Aoyama nods, murmuring a small oui under his breath.
"I never knew Bakugou could dress like… that." Sero's face blushes pink. Kirishima and Mina turn to him incredulously, although their faces match Hanta's in color.
The group slowly splits apart, each going their own way to their dorms to process what they just saw. One thing is for sure, though, neither of them will ever forget that.

There comes a time when every man shall surrender to someone, it appears, Bakugou thinks as he stands in front of an inhumanly possible, excited Denki.
"So~, are you coming or not?" Spark plug looks at him, tears somehow bubbling up.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll come." He agrees, shutting the door on Pikachu's face as he starts to change.
It's not that he hates game night, but more so that it always ends in chaos, injuries, and someone getting a punishment from Sensei. Not to mention that Pinky always brings up some drama, over exaggerating it to hell.
The last time they did game night, Bakugou, fortunately, wasn't there. However, the day after, when he saw the entire self-proclaimed "Baku-squad" staying after school for detention, he was thankful he had declined.
Katsuki walked down the hallway with a sigh pushed down his throat, wondering what antics his classmates were going to get into.
(Un)Fortunately, they were answered quickly. As soon as he entered, he spotted a multitude of drinks, board games, and other random items scattered across the room, with people filling every inch.
"Baku-BRO! Sit, sit, we're starting!" Kirishima rushed, patting down an area right next to him in a big circle. Katsuki rolled his eyes, instead opting for a chair with adequate elevation from the group.
Tsuyu started to speak, explaining the rules of the game as Sato prepared shots. "The game's like Never Have I Ever, I think. Basically, someone says something they haven't done before, and if you have, you put your finger down. The person with all their fingers down first has to explain to the group all their answers to the questions."
Shoji turned to Sato, who was putting down all the drinks next to everybody, brows furrowed. "Where do these come in?"
Mina flashed a smile and a wink to him. "If you don't want to answer a question, you have to drink." She paused as the group stared at her, "We can start with….hmm, Koda!"
Koda startled for a second before whispering, "Okay, Never Have I Ever…. cheated on a test before?"
Nope, unless someone cheating off of me counts.
Kaminari, Kirishima, Mina, Tsuyu, Mineta, and Hagakure put a finger down while Yaoyorozu, Ochako, and Sero took a shot, their faces wrinkling the intensity of the drink.
"Never Have I Ever… lied to someone about my sexuality?" Aoyoma gleefully smiled.
Bakugou put his finger down, surprising almost half of the group. Along with him were Yaoyorozu and Midoriya, while Uraraka downed a shot.
The game continued at a fast pace, the questions slowly becoming more invasive, and the people getting more and more drunk.
"Never Have I Ever… pretended to be a different person to avoid something?"
"Never Have I Ever… lied to Aizawa-sensei to skip class?"
"Never Have I Ever… considered dropping out of U-A?"
"Never Have I Ever… got into a fight before, illegally?"
"Never Have I Ever… kissed someone before?"
"Never Have I Ever… rejected someone before?"
"Never Have I Ever… broken the law?"
"Never Have I Ever… gotten a piercing?"
"Never Have I Ever… made out with someone, in the dorms?"
Before Bakugou knew it, he had put down all 10 fingers and drank not even once, hell yeah. He couldn't say the same to Iida, though, who was thoroughly intoxicated halfway through the game.
"'Kay, I'm done." Katsuki nonchalantly dropped. His classmates went silent for a second, soaking in the information before barraging him with questions. "Holy fuck! I'll explain, just calm the hell down." He yelled.
Kaminari shut his mouth, mimicking a zipping motion and throwing the key away.
"First one, I lied to some extra a couple of years ago because they wouldn't stop fucking bothering me. Second was another extra, a reporter this time, who was too damn invasive. Third is obviously yes, I said I had a family emergency, whatever the fuck that is." His classmates quieted down for the fourth one, a silence falling over them as Bakugou spoke, unaffected. "Fourth is obvious, again. After each and every one of my God-forsaken close-up villain encounters, I was so close to going to Nezu and suing the shit out of this school. Fifth, yeah, during middle school. Sixth, yeah." He continued, much to the distress of Mina and Ochako.
"Blasty, you have to explain! That's literally the game!" Mina screeched.
"Fuck you guys. My first kiss was during Junior High in truth or dare, got'it?"
Ochako pouted at the lack of suspense as Bakugou continued. "What was I—Seventh, yeah. Some random girl last year. Eighth is a yes," Kirishima turned to Bakugou, buzzing, "Oh fuck you. I go into a fight illegally, remember? Illegally equals breaking the law, dipshit." Kirishima deflated. "Ninth, yeah, my tongue and eyebrow." He said, showing them off.
The class fell silent once more, the anticipation filling the room as the last question had everyone wondering. Sero, ever so noticeable, turned to Momo, winking. Yaoyorozu raised an eyebrow, confused, but still waiting for the response.
"Finally, yeah, I've made out with someone he—" Denki jumped, yelling, "Yeah, Momo!".
Bakugou, shocked, turned to Kaminari, a flurry of emotions on his face. "What?"
Denki raised an eyebrow, "Y'know, because you're dating her?"
"No, I'm not."
Everybody, minus a couple of people, spun to Bakugou, all collectively going "You're not?".
Yaoyorozu nodded, humming uncomfortably before talking. "Uh, yeah. I-I'm kind of a lesbian?" She winced, waiting for the retorts to flood her ears.
Instead, Bakugou spoke up with her. "Yeah, what she said. Also, I'm literally dating Deku? Half of you literally saw me asking him out last year."
Tsuyu gasped, "Oh. So that was what that was. We all just thought you were asking him to spar."
"Under the only cherry blossom tree on campus?" Tsuyu nodded, "We kissed after?"
"Oh, we all left by then, I'm pretty sure."
Bakugou sighed exhaustively, "How the fuck are you all so, so dumb?"
The class shrugged in unison, dispersing while some gave late congratulations to Bakugou, Deku, and Yaoyorozu (for coming out, she assumes).
Undiscovered by everyone, Jirou stood, watching the entire scene unravel. She had a smile on her face as she stared at Yaoyorozu, who was staring at the window. Maybe I'll finally have a chance, she thought, walking away.
