Chapter Text
ZOEY
“Uh, hey Rumi?” Zoey held up a bowl of popcorn as she stared at their living room which was very full. Of boys. Saja Boys. “Are we expecting company?”
Rumi and Mira slowly sauntered into the room, their faces answering Zoey’s question. Mira stared open mouthed at the boys, some of them staring back while some of them joked and talked under their breaths. Rumi on the other hand dropped her own bowl of popcorn and swore. “What? That’s-those are-why are they—”
With a thousand watt grin, Jinu made eye contact with Rumi and held open his arms wide as if it was totally natural for them to be sitting spread out all along their couches. “Surprise.”
Rumi immediately turned tail and ran to her room, eliciting laughter from both Abby and Jinu. Zoey for her part was still completely flabbergasted. But it was Mira who spoke next, setting down her popcorn and falling into a tentative fighting stance. “You…can’t be here. We killed you.”
It was Baby who perked up, eyes glinting as his evil little smirk did something to her insides. “Came back to haunt you.”
Zoey scanned the five of them trying to decide what to do next but Mira was already moving. “Wait hold on—” Zoey called out but before she could say anything else Romance had her in his arms.
“Slow down little spitfire. We aren’t here to hurt you.”
Mira’s breathing went ragged as fought his hold around her. “Let me go so I can kill you. Again.”
Zoey snapped out of her trance and started towards Mira but in a flash Rumi beat her to it. “Get off of my friend!” Her blade sung, the note ringing as the room erupted into chaos.

JINU
Jinu moved quickly, sliding between the scary one, Romance, and Rumi. Rumi’s blade sliced through his shirt and he scoffed. “This was brand new.” He spun and kicked her legs from under her and pinned her to the ground. “And here I thought you’d be happy to see me.”
From all around Jinu could hear and feel the violence happening around him and his face erupted into that slightly feral grin that his boys brought out of him. Rumi for her part had mostly stopped struggling as she tried and failed to fight the spark that had always been between them.
“How are you here?” She breathed, her cheeks flushed as she studied his face.
“Great question. We’d love to know as well. We all woke up just outside the arena several hours ago. Not a single voice whispering in our heads.”
When he was sure that Rumi wasn’t going to attack him again. He sat up, his hips still pinning her down by the thighs. He searched the room and chuckled at the sight. Romance still held Mira but now half of his shirt was torn and she was pinned face down into the plush rug. Abby was standing behind him, likely watching his back while the Zoey was being held captive on Baby’s lap while Mystery studied her blades. He looked back down offered a hand. “A truce. We’re here for a truce.”
“And a place to stay.” Abby added after the fact. The other boys nodded their agreement.
“Oh you’ve got to be fucking kidding me.” Mira growled and then blushed scarlet as Romance pulled her head back lightly by the hair.
“Rumi you-you can’t really be considering—” Zoey squeaked as Mystery sat in front of her and rested his arms over her legs while Baby chuckled.
“Behave or Rumi will change her mind.” Juni turned and she turned even more red. Cute. “So we can stay, right?”
The room buzzed for what felt like forever. “Fine.”
Ten minutes later the boys sat lined up in all manner of relaxation on the boring beige couch while the trio of girls huddled, speaking to each other in low whispers about what exactly they were going to do with them.
Abby sat close beside Jinu, arm resting on the couch behind him. He rolled his eyes but let it happen. He always got so territorial. Jinu leaned back, spreading his legs a bit and sighing loudly, which got the girls attention again. “Any day now ladies. We’ve already agreed that we’re staying so I’m not sure what else you could possibly be discussing.”
The perky one spoke up, eyes flashing in annoyance. “We are trying to figure out where to put you all. Because it sure as hell is not going to be on out beautiful couches.”
Mira crossed her arms. “Yeah, our couches are sacred.” That elicited a snort from Abby.
“Your couches are boring as fuck. And not even that comfortable.” Baby bounced a bit on it, increasing the glares tenfold.
“Sorry we don’t have a crib for you. But there is a closet we could—” Zoey bit her tongue at the touch of Rumi’s hand on her shoulder.
“Me and Jinu can crash with Rumi.” Abby stretched, flexing his abs in a way that had all three girls looking. “Mystery and Romance with—”
“I’ll share a room with Mira.” Romance flicked his hair and gazed at her.
Jinu had never seen a woman so flustered into silence before.
Jinu lightly bit his lower lip in a smirk. “Well that’s that then. And Zoey can share a room with Mystery and Baby.” His grin grew wider as Zoey practically expelled steam from her ears.
“That is not what is happening here.” Rumi held up a finger. “For tonight only,” Her glare made Jinu want to giggle and kick his feet. “We will take the couches and you all can have beds. And then tomorrow you’re all figuring out a different sleeping arrangement. Understood?”
Each of them responded with some sort of placation. Jinu winked at the girls as Abby ruffled his hair. “Great. Now how about some food. We’re starving.”
