Work Text:

And in an instance, all was planned. Atleast from her point of view, in reality that plan had nothing sane about it. Only unjustified revenge towards one that we couldn't  truly blame. Herself couldn't explain her reasons, him being a pirate is enough, she said. Did she wanted him dead? She wasn't sure, but she wanted to see him tasting the ground, and then she could claim it was for justice. Always justice. That was the only word on her mouth since she saw Flevance burning, since she joined the Marine, since she became Commodore.

She knew her superior, the red eyed one, guessed what was she was planning, of course he was against it. But a pirate is a pirate. This felt like a game of Pinochle, except both partners are constantly sabotaging eachother for "greater good" both thought. But who was truly right in this trafficked card game? Revenge and fading memories? Love and intoxication nostalgia? None of them could win, but they didn't know that. Their opponent isn't even aware of this game, but he is winning anyways. He placed his card long before them and his strategy is more well-thought than the one used by the two navy soldiers.

Lammy and Rosinante know so little about what is going through their rival's head, even less about what he truly knows about them and how he feels.

Trafalgar Law, for once in his life, will win, even if he has to give up on everything.

Notes:
