Chapter Text
Saotome Genma never felt stupider in his life.
After trying, and failing to scam a therapist, Genma was now stuck in the waiting room at the therapist’s office, saddled with an impromptu appointment. In his boredom, Genma picked up a pamphlet with an interesting title: Parenting Transgender Children 101.
After reading the definition of Transgender, Genma slapped himself. After reading about how he had done literally everything the guide said not to do to his… son?, he slapped himself again, much harder.
It was horrible timing, Ranma and Akane were now at Jusenkyo to train, now equipped with a technique that lets them freeze water.

Shinmei Kaido had been turned into a girl, and panicked.
Kaido knew what was going to happen if he saw his father: More Knives. Kaido was born into the Albrecht School of anything goes martial arts. His father, Leon Albrecht, was a worldly martial arts master, according to the stories. Leon was determined to make Kaido a “Man Among Men”, a lofty ideal in the field of anything goes martial arts. In order to accomplish this task, Leon brought his son to the legendary training ground, Jusenkyo, along with a group of teenage boys (allegedly to make Kaido “Man Up”). While Kaido was out changing, the other boys heard the story of the Spring-Of-Drowned-Girl, and came up with a devilish scheme.
When Kaido came back, he was immediately shoved into the spring, the group of boys laughing.
And now back to the Present:
Kaido couldn’t have expected what his father did when he came back. To spare the details, Leon tore off Kaido’s right arm and left him there, dropping his heavy backpack on top of him.

When Akane and Ranma arrived at Jusenkyo, they did not expect to hear singing. They also didn’t expect that singing to come from a nearby woman missing an arm, the other arm holding a damaged guitar.
“Tearing layers of sentiment/ Beneath decay you’ll find sediment/ All pain is just impediment/ In your heart I never–” The girl was interrupted by a screaming Akane.
“Where is your arm?!”
To which the girl simply replied, “Over there.” Pointing next to a nearby spring, where a severed arm could clearly be seen. “I’m not gonna explain it.”

Ranma and Akane brought the girl back to Japan.
“We should learn her name, right?” Akane asked Ranma on the walk from the ferry, a little too loudly.
The girl replied “I’m Shinmei Kaido, former heir to the Albrecht School of Anything Goes Martial Arts. And I need a place to crash for a bit.” Kaido then promptly passed out.
