Chapter Text
Run. Keep running. Don’t look back. Don’t let her catch you. Who knows what she will do if she does. Ignore the burning in your legs. Push aside the tightness in your chest. Force your body to breathe, just DON’T. STOP. RUNNING.
You keep running but your body fails you. You fall, out of breath, legs burning, aching from your attempt to flee. It doesn’t take long for her to find you. Amelia. No matter how much you tried, you could not escape her.
“Oh Y/N. Poor, sweet, naive Y/N. Did you really think you could leave me? Abandon me?” Amelia spoke in a mocking tone. She was delusional. Obsessive. Controlling. You remembered the first time you met. She seemed so kind, so understanding. But in this village, nothing stays hidden for long. Her true colours revealed themselves over time. She would prevent you from speaking with your friends, with your family. She would then stop you from leaving the house without her before stopping your from leaving the house altogether. She starting preventing you from looking outside, from answering the door.
She then chained you in your bedroom, only being let out for meals. It was only by a stroke of luck that she had left the key in the bedside drawer instead of her bra. You took immediate advantage of the situation but didn’t get far before she came chasing after you. You were slumped against a tree, watching as she slowly approached.
“My love, why must you try to leave me? Have I not done enough? Not given you enough? Was my love for you not enough?” Amelia asked. You said nothing. She did not deserve your words. You both heard a roar in the distance. Lycans.
“Oh my. I hadn’t expected them to be out and about just yet.” Amelia said. She turned to you with a psychotic look. “Well my dear, it would seem that if I can’t have you, no one can.” Amelia rammed a knife into your leg, letting the blood pour into a vial. “A small gift from you to me, my love. As they say ‘Parting is such sweet sorrow’” She said with a smile, turning around and walking away.
As much as you wanted to scream for help, you chose not to. That would be feeding right into her delusion. You sat and waited, accepting whatever fate befell you. You watched quietly as the Lycans surrounded you, eyes glowing with a furious hunger. As one began to lunge towards you, it stopped dead in its tracks. It turned then ran away, as did the others.
Dead ahead of you was a tall, regal figure. Dressed in black with a gold lined mask upon their face. Mother Miranda. Has she come to save you, take you back to Amelia or has she come to kill you herself?
You said nothing as she approached, falling unconscious from the blood loss.
