It’s a slow day at Spirits and Such. Reigen has half a mind to tell Serizawa and Tome to go home and just close up early. Between Tome playing some sort of game on her phone and Serizawa working on his math work, Reigen doesn’t seem to think there’s a reason to stay at the office at all. After scrolling through his emails, (again) looking for something other than the spam suspiciously from the Rising Sun Psychic Union and old intakes from clients, he can’t find anything of importance.
As he rises from his chair about to release Serizawa and Tome, Tome suddenly appears right in front of him with those suspicious puppy dog-looking eyes.
“Boss boss! Can we please go to IKEA? I need a new lamp for my room. My parents would take me but they’re busy and I really need a lamp”
Serizawa looks up from his homework and nods at this. Reigen stops to think, wondering if he has ever been to one before.
“No way, I’m not wasting time like that. Go on your own or with your friends.”
“Aw c’mon!! It’ll be fun! Besides I see both of you doing practically nothing..”
Reigen is about to interrupt as he would argue that Serizawa doing school work is not “nothing” but he beats him to it.
“Please Reigen-san? It will be like a fun business field trip, we could use some time off! Besides I never been.” Serizawa gently places his hand on Reigen’s shoulder and sweetly persuades him, of course- not without a blush on both of their faces.
Reigen contemplates this, irritated that yet again his (beloved) deputy director is being reasonable.
“Fine. Let’s go, but Serizawa is driving.”
“Thank you Reigen-san, you won’t regret this.”
“LET’S GOOO!!!”
Serizawa and Tome share their appreciation as everyone hurriedly packs their things and head out while also changing out of their work clothes.
After arriving at the IKEA, Reigen stops Serizawa and Tome to lay down some ground rules.
“Okay, we grab the lamp and leave. No distractions, understood?”
“Yes sir!!”
The other two respond with infectious enthusiasm.

6 Hours Later…
“You have gotta be kidding me, we spent hours upon hours in there and we didn’t even get the damn lamp we were there for..”
Reigen says with irritation, holding the bags full of items that everyone bought. Tome lovingly holds the alien plushie she bought while Serizawa affectionately gazes at Reigen happy with their outing.
“Oh! I just remembered. I got something for you!” Serizawa excitedly starts to pull out something from his bag to give to Reigen.
“I saw you eyeing this plushie earlier, thought you might want it.. As a thank you, for today. I know you didn’t wanna come, but you went anyways- for us.” Serizawa smiles sheepishly as he holds out a blåhaj out to Reigen. Reigen takes it with a shocked expression on his face, hiding his gratitude.
“Um, i-if you don’t like it.. I can return it!!” Serizawa babbles, panicking that he might’ve done something wrong or misunderstood Reigen’s behavior.
Reigen sighs as he quickly shuts down Serizawa’s anxiety, “I guess this trip wasn’t so bad after all..” he says as both of them smile, cheeky but genuinely happy.
As a response, Tome gags and texts Mob and Teru about the day.
