Chapter Text

Harry potter sat, stone boring into his bum, on the floor covered in a large amount of warm undetermined potion contents. Beside him Draco Malfoy stood with his arm still up to protect his face from being splashed with the gloopy purple liquid that was dripping down the front side of his robes. It only took him a second before he whipped his head around to glare accusingly at Harry.

"What did you do!" He yelled, casting a cleaning spell on himself with a disgusted look.

Harry's face screwed up in disbelief, "I didn't do anything you twat!"

"Oh of course not, great Harry Potter can do no wrong! How could I forget." This was a terrible start to 8th year he thought, he was trying hard not to shout at anyone or get into trouble at all, but clearly that was not possible.

Hermione bustled over, casting the same charm on Harry and carefully helping him to his feet. Draco noticed he was favoring his left leg before he got his balance. Not that he had been watching or anything. And why had he waited for someone to help him up anyway? Probably hit his head on the fall, it's a shame it didn't knock some sense into him, Draco thought.

"Before you two argue anymore, I mean it Harry!" Hermione glanced between them, wand still in hand, and that was enough to shut both of them up, "I noticed that Pansy accidently stumbled back and knocked it over, we're not children anymore, are we?"

She turned to look at Harry, still with a hand on his sleeve, "Are you okay? We should go to the..."

Harry shook his head, almost wildly Draco thought, "I'm fine. I feel fine."

"We really should go just in case," She argued, her concerned gaze trying to meet Harry's, which was looking at the desk in earnest.

She sighed heavily, "Fine. Then we're going to speak with the teacher. Just. In. Case. Okay?"

Harry just let himself be manhandled to the front of the class, the savior of the world and he was scared of a girl honestly. He walked four feet and wobbled slightly but kept going and when he reached six feet he stumbled hard, grabbing a desk for stability and breathing heavily. Draco startled, feeling the world around his spin slightly, as if he had a shot of fire-whisky on an empty stomach. He kept his eyes forward. Potter who had managed a few more steps suddenly went lax, Granger catching him unceremoniously and loosing her own footing and they both went down on the floor with a large thud. There were shouts of surprise and concern across from mostly Gryffindor's and Draco was about to make a snide comment about them when the dizziness intensified and he gripped the table in an attempt to stay fully upright, and the words chocked on his tongue.

"You okay Draco? you look like you're going to.."

His blood pressure dropped. He could hear a deep roar of blood rushing behind his ears, and his limbs rendering almost useless as he tried desperately to look around for someplace to sit down. The sudden twist of his head made the room all but triple the amount of Pansy's in the room. She was saying something in theory but he came to a sudden startling realization that he couldn't hear a thing now. He gasped in a breath as his vision hazed black around the edges. Students quickly surrounded him and he was vaguely aware of hands on him when all of a sudden his vision all but faded to black, and with eyes rolling back and muscles weakening, he all but collapsed onto a few fellow Slytherins and lowered unceremoniously onto the floor.
