Belle took a long, deep breath, calming her nerves for her next action and the possible consequences. In her hand was a small orange box with a dark blue ribbon, the color of Belle's hair, and in front of her was her target, her shifu and the person who had been on Belle's mind for free since the moment she appeared in front of her, Yixuan.
It had all started as a simple physical attraction the day they met in sphere zero, something she quickly forgot about due to the current situation, then on the second date her feelings were stronger, but she still thought they were the same, a simple physical attraction to a woman with a beautiful figure. But from the moment she arrived on the Waifei Peninsula, and with every moment she spent with Yixuan, her now master, or shifu as the others called her, her emotions became clearer and stronger.
And it was now, that night when everyone was celebrating the return of the festival of Tidefaire. And as expected, there in a secluded corner was Yixuan.
Belle took another deep, long breath and walked forward, being noticed by the taller, white-haired woman who turned to look at her.
“ Belle, what brings you here? I thought you'd be celebrating with the others.” Yixuan asked his apprentice, who was slightly nervous, but with a little focus, she managed to hide her panic and answer normally. “I was, but I wanted to spend some special time with my shifu, and then I realized she was missing. And now I found you.” Belle spoke, teasing her master a little for disappearing without telling anyone, which made Yixuan giggle slightly.
“I see. Well, here I am now. If you want to stay with me for a while, but I don't promise it will be as fun as the festival.” Yixuan said, turning around again and leaning on the fence she was on before, looking at the horizon, the sea and the great Lemian Hollow. A truly beautiful sight along with the festival lights in the sky. Belle soon stood beside her and watched the view, appreciating it, a comfortable and loving silence settled over the place for a few seconds, maybe minutes, Belle didn't know. She only knew that the view was magnificent, but not more so than the woman who captured her gaze and her heart.
“ Well, how has your stay here been? What have you found? I hope it hasn't caused you too many problems?” Yixuan asked, breaking the silence slightly and waking Belle from her trance.
“ A- ah, W- well. I have been loving the place, it is really interesting to run the temple in my free time and help people, and learning the culture has been amazing. I really must thank you for bringing me and my brother here.”
Yixuan giggled lightly, "No, I should be the one thanking you for accepting my proposal to train you guys." Yixuan said, and Belle could only think about how beautiful that laughter was, it was like an angelic song. “ Well, I guess there's something you'd like to talk to me about?” Yixuan suddenly said, which made Belle snap out of her trance and hide the box behind her back quickly, she almost forgot about it.
“ What do you mean by that?" Belle asked curiously as to how she had come to that conclusion if she had managed to hide her nervousness so well (at least she thought so). “"I made a prediction today involving you, and it said you would have something important to tell me. Am I right?" Belle sighed lightly upon hearing the answer and nodded in confirmation. "Yes.”
“Belle turned completely to Yixuan, who did the same, and soon Belle took a deep breath, preparing to say what she had been waiting for. “Ever since I met you, I felt something... Special, I thought it was just a sexual attraction because well... You're beautiful. But I discovered it was more. I didn't just love your looks, I loved your laugh, your smile, your strange and mysterious speeches, but common and understandable at times. Every flaw and success of yours. And... Today I took courage to ask you. I read some traditions in the temple archives. And they said that when an apprentice had an important confession to make that could change a relationship, he would make an amulet for good luck, and to demonstrate his feelings for the person. Who would then put his own mark on the amulet if he accepted the change positively.” Belle took the box off her back, and showed it to her master, who took it lightly, and even in the darkness, Belle could notice the slight reddish color on her shifu's cheeks.
Yixuan opened the box slightly, revealing a simple amulet, a Bangboo chip made of wood painted orange with blue strings making a diamond around it, and to top it off, a square iron frame that had holes, possibly for a new rope to be placed.
“ Shif- no. Yixuan, Do you want to be my other half, and the most loved person in this finished world?” Belle asked with focus, but it was clear even in the darkness that she was shaking with nervousness, but Yixuan also couldn't hide her embarrassment from the redness on her face, and she couldn't respond otherwise.
Yixuan grabbed Belle by the collar of her uniform and pulled her close to him, closing their lips in a fervent and passionate kiss, which in seconds was reciprocated and challenged with more love.
Yixuan has always had feelings for Belle, she already suspected that they would have a special relationship because of her fortune predictions that she made daily for herself and the people she protected. But she was too shy to tell her, especially for fear of having yet another special person she could lose just like her sister. But she knew she could trust Belle, she knew that unlike when she couldn't protect her sister, now she had the strength to do so. And the kiss that neither of them knew how long lasted was separated by the lack of air.
“ I- is that a yes?” Belle asked nervously as she placed her hands on Yixuan's waist lovingly. And at the question, Yixuan laughed out loud for the first time, full of happiness and joy. “ Yes Belle, this is a yes. I would love to be your girlfriend.”
That night, Belle was certain that she would be happy that day and forever, as long as she had Yixuan by her side. Her dear shifu
