Pregaming

Summary:

“but you just had to push me, didn'tcha… greedy little meat slut, bet you've never met a real apex predator-”
~~~~~~~~~~
When Lyric waits for their date to arrive in a bar for monsters, they attract the attention of a very beautiful, very self assured naga woman who sets her less than affectionate desires on them. Unfortunately for her, there's more to Lyric than meets the greedy eye.
Work Text:
The gargoyle doorman scanned Lyric’s ID with an appropriately stony nod and ushered them inside wordlessly. The place was dark, stylish, and spacious. Interested eyes watched them from the many tables scattered in the fashionable gloom. Lyric felt every casual stare on them as they made their way to the bar. The bartender, at least, maintained the same pleasantly unbothered welcome he gave Lyric every other time they had been. The demon greeted them with his signature of two dazzling, razor lined smiles, one on each mouth, both stretching the whole width of his face.
“By yourself, tonight?” His duplicated voice buzzed slightly in their skull. “Or am I getting you warmed up for someone?”
“Date,” Lyric confirmed, returning his smiles as best they could with only one mouth, and glancing down at the time on their phone, “But I’m here early, so… yeah. I could do with a head-start.”
The bartender nodded approvingly and dropped a laminated menu in front of them. It took less than a minute for Lyric’s gaze to slip away from the cocktails and linger over the large selection of bar snacks, appetisers, and platters on offer. They had resisted opportunities to snack beforehand, mindful of the drinks and huge, devourer-worthy dinner planned for tonight, but now they were utterly ravenous with a while to wait and regretting their abstinence. Every choice on the menu looked delicious and tempting. Monster bars always catered well for variety- Lyric's favourite way to eat. They gave in almost instantly.
“Mind if I eat at the bar while I wait?”
The demon’s eyes glittered, a witness to Lyric’s previous evenings in his establishment and well aware of how they liked to enjoy time with their lovers.
“Not at all, let’s get you good and stuffed. Gotta look your best for a date, right?”
Not long after the bartender left to give their order to the kitchen, Lyric became aware of a presence behind them. They turned, and nearly fell from their barstool by the sight waiting for their attention.
A naga woman, mesmerizingly beautiful, was poised before them. They couldn’t help but take every inch of her in - and there was a lot of her to handle. She had a wide, astonishingly curvy and plush hourglass figure on her upper half, her hips almost twice as broad across as Lyric’s own. Her milk white skin was displayed abundantly through cutouts on the skimpy, shiny mini dress she was wearing. Standing tall on her tail, at least two feet taller than Lyric, the stretching length of her silver scales draped behind her like an exquisite bridal train. Lyric struggled not to gape at her. She tossed her sleek, lavender hair at them, and a wave of expensive perfume, mingled with the scent of strong, fruity liquor, hit them directly.
You look a little out of place, don’t you?” Her voice was richly feminine, and she spoke with the hint of a tipsy drawl. Lyric could not take their eyes from her full, rouge painted lips as she spoke. She was truly stunning and it took them a moment before they remembered themselves enough to respond.
“I’ve been here before,” they said, tearing their gaze up to meet hers- rose pink eyes, no sclera. Bewitching. She met their eye with a smirk that was clearly very familiar with people having make an effort to look up.
And yet… Lyric felt a flush of irritation cutting through the enraptured daze. Gorgeous or not, Lyric’s attraction to her wavered at the suggestion they didn't belong here.
“I’m just being friendly , sweetie. There’s a lotta creatures here that would just love to snap up a cutie like you for themselves. Wolf’s den, y’know?”
Lyric watched her take her own lingering look at them, up and down. Assessing them.
“I’m not worried,” Lyric said as surely as they could muster, suppressing more direct protests at being mistaken for edible, “I can handle myself just fine-”
Carnivore barbecue plate for ya , the rest should be out soon,” the bartender interrupted, the laden platter of meaty appetisers landing in front of them with a heavy thump.
“- But I appreciate your concern. Thanks.”
The naga’s eyes widened at the large helping of food. Her gaze flicked from the platter across to Lyric, lingering critically on the way their thighs spread over the barstool, and the soft roll of their belly in their lap- slightly veiled by their long skirt’s drape. Lyric was glad for the plate’s timing, they hoped that showing they were a creature who eats large quantities of meat was a message she would understand enough to put their place in the food chain to order.
But she gave no indication of parsing any meaning and merely swept past them to plant her elbows and her obscenely brimming rack onto the bar. Lyric swallowed, unable to look away from the jiggle of the impact. The bartender, however, was unfazed.
“I hope you’re not bullying my patrons again, Una.”
Shut up you love it,” Una scoffed, rolling her eyes, "obviously not my type , anyway," she shot Lyric a condescending wink, "sorry, sweetie. No offence, you're adorable , but I prefer something spicier, if ya know what I mean …"
"None taken." Lyric dismissed her comment with a wry smile. If she hadn't been so quick to decide they were food coded they might have been more devastated at the rejection. They tossed a small piece of pork belly into their mouth, sighing gladly at the sweet, juicy, fatty taste. It stung a little to be teased and tossed, but they were already fucking more than a few equally stunning predators to validate their self esteem. Lyric checked their phone again, suddenly quite impatient for their date to arrive.
Una left with a hefty cocktail in each hand, but not before taking a noisy slurp from each and giving Lyric another teasing wink with an obnoxious pout, more than happy to still fish for attention despite her brush-off. Lyric watched her slither back to her table and sighed in relief as the thick river of glittering, swaying scales disappeared into the depths of the venue. She really was abysmally hot. Such a shame she was also kind of an ass about it.
The rest of Lyric’s food arrived swiftly afterwards, alongside a pitcher of sangria. A few small dishes to pick between, and a couple of much bigger ones that a human establishment might have designated for sharing. Perfect.
They hovered for a second, indulgently torn between golden fried calamari, and fat sticks of grilled halloumi- before throwing indecision and delicacy to the wind and grabbing an unnaturally large buffalo wing. They tore into it with pleasure, the spicy, creamy sauce waking up their senses and spreading a pleasant tingle of heat across their tongue and lips. The bartender placed a few napkins within their reach and they thanked him with a demure look, mouth and hands entirely occupied.
They ate freely, switching between every dish at will, occasionally sucking their fingers clean and dabbing them on a napkin to check their phone for more messages. As they ate, a steady trickle of other patrons would step up to the bar, making their own orders and watching Lyric eat as free entertainment while their drinks were prepared. It was an exposed seat but the lone human felt safe enough to lose themselves in the food…and it would be a pleasant surprise for their date for them to go in with abandon. They wanted him to see them like this, front and centre, enjoying only the first feast of the night, with a pretty gut stretching out their top. They melted gladly into the rhythm of tasting, swallowing, and feeling their belly slowly creep across their lap, married with the anticipation of knowing just how much they could ( and was going to!) eat tonight.
"Still here, sweetie?" Una's voice was behind them again all too soon. Lyric dropped the rib bone they were stripping down onto their last empty plate (also all too soon- they’d been hoping for the food to last much longer, forgetting how fast they could eat with a little tension in their blood.) and straightened up to brace for another round of her. The naga slithered up next to them, reprising her use of the counter as a pedestal for her assets, "I see nobody's tried to eat you up ye- oh ."
Lyric's section of the bar was cluttered with a stack of empty plates, bones, and spent napkins. Eyes wide and surprised, Una immediately turned her gaze down to Lyric's belly, staring openly at the sizable fill that now occupied the space between their body and the bar. Their top had ridden above their waistband, revealing a stark expanse of creamy skin against their shadowy outfit. The high crest of their stuffed stomach pressed sharply out from beneath their ribs, rising and falling with their steady, faintly shallowed breathing.
"Got an appetite after all, huh?" Her volume dropped, and her face was a mask Lyric couldn't read. They took a deep breath and tensed, forcing a belch that sounded itself low in their throat, and sighed.
"I've been told it's quite alluring..."
They fixed her with a cool look, incited by their own empty jug of wine cocktail. Her energy shift felt strange to Lyric, Una didn't give the impression of someone that would easily be humbled, but finally having the moment to assert themselves felt great .
"... but I look even hotter when I'm full of prey."
It was Una that eventually broke the silence that followed.
" Well how about that… " she moved slowly, straightening up. For a moment, her face was very serious, but the grave stillness quickly vanished and morphed back into her previous sultry grin. She beckoned to the bartender, “hey, Dorian,” Her teeth glittered like the smattering of pearly scales on her flushed cheeks, her canines very long and thin, “Gimme’ another round,”
“Same again? You’re running me low on cranberry.”
“Yeah, yeah, for sure, and, ah… I wanna get this cutie something special too.”
He and Una shared a long look that Lyric didn't love. There was a quiet intensity that suggested history in whatever she was doing. Dorian didn’t look pleased, but he relented with little real opposition.
“Fine, what’ll it be?”
“Get them the special, you know, that one with all the good stuff… And refill their drink, too…” Una shot Lyric a flirtatious look over her shoulder, “It’s all gonna go on my tab. You don’t mind me treating you, do you, babe?” She did not wait for a response before turning back to the bartender.
He sighed and dragged his pen as he wrote the ticket, but he took it to the kitchen nevertheless. Alone at the bar together, Lyric stared warily at Una.
“Thought I wasn’t your type?” There was a heavy dose of accusation in their tone but Una’s grin remained and she tossed her hair again, throwing another wave of perfume across.
“Well maybe I’m interested now, ever think about that, sweetie? Lucky you!”
Lyric was about to respond, perhaps something to the effect of ‘ somehow I don’t feel lucky… ’ when the bartender came back, already carrying a tray. It seemed suspiciously quick, especially for the size of it, easily twice as big as one of the platters they cleared, but Lyric saw why when it was placed in front of them.
Una had bought Lyric prey.
Small game: mammals, birds, and fish were stacked onto the platter in heaping rows. It was all dressed and cooked, a simple roasting from the look and smell, with no frills about the presentation. Just taken from the warming oven and sent out, this was a dish ready immediately for a demanding predator. And Lyric was a predator, they had been quite adamant about that from the moment Una had teased them for their deceiving appearance.
They could feel a greedy churn in their stomach, already preparing itself for this second course despite their wariness. They swallowed back a fresh wellspring of drool, trying hard to not seem too eager. Una leaned in close, the grand spill of her cleavage was so incredibly soft against their arm, all inviting luxury that could easily smother them to death.
“So you’re a big, hungry pred, huh? And you're gonna eat all of this for me, aren't you, cutie? Gonna make yourself all, mmm- alluring, yeah?” Her voice sent a tingle down Lyric’s spine. The whisper of her alcohol warmed and sweetened breath felt like a kiss on their cheek. They disliked her whole condescending attitude, but even so… They had so little resistance for a large, beautiful monster telling them to eat. They had their weaknesses like anyone else. Lyric nodded for her, struggling to pull back from the submissive headspace she had them teetering on the edge of. Beneath the seductive haze they were uneasy, something felt wrong, but the press of her body, and the temptation of the food... Their date would be here soon, Lyric thought, clawing their mind towards something grounding, if there was trouble coming they could surely handle themselves until then…
Una changed her own order to four drinks (stating cryptically “ I wanna be good and warm for you, sweetie! ”) but she shook her head coyly at Lyric asking if she was going to stay to watch, which felt like a small mercy. As she left, swaying her big, luscious figure in such wide arcs that it was a wonder she didn't knock tables to the floor, Lyric turned to ask the bartender about her, but he put their pitcher down abruptly, jarring them out of wanting to speak. He gave them a pitying look, and immediately turned away, busying himself with the bottles and lime slices at the other end of the bar. Lyric looked at the food warily. It didn’t look like it had been tampered with. And they’d watched their drink be prepared. So… it was probably still safe to eat, at least… They picked up a fish. Feeling its weight and the warmth of it. It looked and smelled so enticing. Despite the dangerous picture of the evening their instincts were putting together… surely they could afford at least a taste .
It was delicious. They couldn’t help but crunch the body of it a little as they pushed it in. Of course the point was to swallow them whole but there was so much on the platter. They could sacrifice a couple to warm up. The juicy, oily drip from its tender flesh would slick their throat perfectly. The next one, another fish, went down the same way. The crackle of its fine bones teasing the muscle of their throat to grip and crush. The third fish, finally, went down intact and Lyric moaned softly around it.
They loved the feeling of their throat relaxing. Being teased to open wider with every swallow. It was a satisfying, freeing feeling to be able to trace their small prey’s mass the entire way down to their stomach, and to feel the significant weight and bulge of it join the rest of their meal. They ought to indulge like this more often, they thought, spoil themselves with choosing whole, intact prey. It was just that it always felt so naughty to devour- truly devour like a predator- alone. Their thoughts turned to their evening’s plans, how they'd be sharing even more of this pleasure soon enough under their date's attention. It was enough that Lyric was momentarily distracted from the naga woman's dubious motives, and they picked up and inspected the next creature with a rekindled ease. It was some kind of rodent, perhaps? There were many they couldn’t identify. A monster-owned establishment had access to prey that humans wouldn't even know existed. Not that it mattered exactly what they were, as long as they were just as delicious and pleasing to eat as the familiar ones. Prey with limbs were more intimidating than fish, but Lyric knew they could take bigger and even more awkward shapes than these. They’d taken bigger hands down their throat too. As they opened their maw again, they recalled the feeling of those hands, blending it with the real, tangible slide of prey over their tongue. The phantom of thick, sensual fingers alongside their own, pushing the little beast deep down.
Amongst the sea of tables, in the glow of string lights and tea candles, Una watched Lyric eat. When they opened their mouth, her lips parted too. When the bulge of the prey stretched their choker perilously tight around their neck, she swallowed dry. And when their stuffed gut surged further between them and the bar, she took a heavy gulp of her drink- her nails tapping sharply and impatiently against the glass. Monsters at neighbouring tables whispered to each other, pointing covertly at both Una and the human she wouldn't take her eyes off. They knew what was going to happen, they'd seen it all before. Una tossed back the dregs of yet another glass. And Dorian had nearly put up a fight, the soft asshole-!
Sure, this wouldn't be fair. Too easy and probably barely even fun for it. But it was hardly her fault if a dumb little creature like that wanted to run with the pack. Her cold blood simmered under her skin.
Lyric was mid swallow when they felt the presence behind them. A pair of hands slid onto their waist, clawed and sensual. Their heart leapt, and then stopped, realising they were smaller than their date's.
“Mmm, look at that…” Una’s tongue flicked teasingly into their ear, “guess I was wrong, even a tiny body like this can take a packing… and you didn't even choke .”
Lyric did not like how she said that last word. She was clearly drunk now, and the tone of her flirting was sliding into something darker. Her fingers squeezed, groping around their hips to their belly, feeling out the little bulges of prey beneath their fat. They suppressed a groan, she was not delicate, and their stomach was heavy and taut, filling their lap.
“You like it, hmm? Like how it feels? Taking things smaller, weaker than you and swallowing them all the way down …” she was starting to slur her speech, and Lyric’s unease only grew. She pressed her body close, and Lyric could feel the soft contours of her chest on their back, “y’know, I wasn't gonna even bother with you,” she continued, paying no mind or care to Lyric’s body stiffening in her grip, “but you just had to push me, didn'tcha… greedy little meat slut , bet you've never met a real apex predator -”
Una’s venomous drawl stalled mid-monologue at the sudden, too-late realisation that Lyric had twisted from her grasp to face her. Her eyes widened as ‘predator’ fell from her tongue and her alcohol dulled reflexes failed to move her in time before her intended prey’s maw opened wide and clamped over her head.
In the pitch dark of Lyric's throat, Una screamed in rage, struggling to wrench herself free from being slid deeper and deeper. She was so much bigger and stronger than Lyric but the alcohol in her system had taken its toll, leaving her sluggish and uncoordinated. Their jaw worked its way over her, forcing her further, inch by inch.
Lyric groaned around her as their throat stretched and bulged around her. They had her arms pinned in their hands, held in place at her sides, but she still squirmed and thrashed. Lyric shuddered at the urgent twinge of their jaw loosening to cram her shoulders and breasts inside.
They had to keep swallowing, for their own safety they needed to devour her. Their own reflexes had taken a hit from their own cocktail chugging, but Una had been drinking for hours before they'd arrived. And Lyric’s desire to survive this encounter drove them to keep pushing her in. The size of her torso alone would have had Lyric regretting their choice if it hadn't been for the danger they were in. Buxom flesh was a challenge to push in and, without their hands to help, they could only persevere in forcing themselves to stretch and stretch, an overdrive of drool slicking her up in messy dribbles.
Una’s tail lashed against the floor in violent, furious thumps, knocking some barstools down in her blind search for leverage. Whipping it around, desperate to coil and crush Lyric, she slammed it off the bar, sending glass flying from the impact and shattering. Scandalised gasps and excited chatter rose from the bar’s patrons, all eyes in the room watching the spectacle before them unfold.
Lyric was in a dangerous position, they had stood on the footrest on their barstool to reach high enough to take Una down, trapping them in place. The naga's great, glittering tail thrashed again and found her mark, catching and wrapping tight around Lyric's calf. They swayed in place, making a pained sound at the hold, muffled by the solid mass of a woman filling them up. If they couldn't get her off, she would certainly break their leg or worse.
There was so much of her, and they could feel exhaustion already starting to set in. Nevertheless, acting on adrenaline and instinct, Lyric bore down, shoving their whole weight against her, and felt her head fully slide into their stomach. They clenched up as she did, squeezing their already-overworked core as tight as it could go. They needed to smother her, crush her with the acid-soaked hoard of meat and prey already swelling out their gut. They would have cried out if they could. The effort ached in every muscle but they couldn't relent. Una squirmed and tossed her body around more, convulsing in the pain and revulsion of being suffocated by caustic chyme.
Though it was only moments, it felt like an eternity before she gave in, and her grip finally fell from Lyric's calf. Finally in control, they released their hold of her wrists, and grabbed roughly at her hips, pulling her whole human half inside their maw. Lyric winced at the twinge of overstretch. Jaw and throat taken to an extreme they rarely had the chance to practice. The plush texture and taste of skin dragging across their tongue giving way to the smoothness of wide, glossy scales. The hardest part was over, but now the final challenge was set.
The tail was at least three times the length of her human half. So many feet of winding, writhing muscle to swallow. The tapering shape would be far kinder to their throat, but the sheer size of her was more than they had ever taken in a single go. They had no head for numbers, even sober and safe, but it was clear that Una would be a personal record if they survived. She was lusciously fat, and they had thought her beautiful for it, but knowing now that they had to hold every heavy pound of her in their gut was dizzying.
Although Una had lost the battle, she continued to fight in vain with waning strength, squirming inside their belly and pushing against the walls of their stomach. Every jolt and shove made Lyric moan, serving only to momentarily distract from the long task of gulping down the rest of her.
They wished that they had more warning, enough time to prepare themselves, but these situations were never so polite. All they could do was swallow and trust their body to keep going. Their lungs burned, desperate for breath, but they were so close now. More and more, she disappeared inside them, the sleekness of her scales becoming a near hypnotic pleasure to slide into their maw. The control was fully theirs and they let that fact drag them towards victory.
Finally, after what felt like eternity, her tail tip was all that remained. Lyric paused, letting themselves feel the last moments of being pulled open from throat to gut. Una’s wriggles were faint now, twitching and defeated. With one final gulp, they sucked her down claiming her entirely.
They exhaled hard, and took a deep, grateful breath to taste fresh, sweet, oxygenated air again, and then another and another, euphoric in the moment, hands roaming and grasping at the massive size of their belly. As the pleasure of their successful devouring swelled in their chest there was a sudden, violent jolt from within their gut- Una’s final act of defiance- and an immense, reverberating belch was forced from Lyric's throat.
Somewhere at the back of the venue, a table drunkenly cheered, and the hum of animated conversation rose again all around. The entire bar had been silent for ages, Lyric realised. Aware again of their surroundings, they looked back towards the bartender, their cheeks flushed blazing, fully expecting punishment for the spectacle they'd made.
The bartender placed the drink he had been making down, and garnished it with a tiny umbrella.
“Let me know if you can't reach it”
Lyric stared, embarrassment plastered across their face
“You're not going to kick me out?” Their voice was strained, throat aching from the ordeal.
Dorian shook his head, twin mouths breaking into a soft, amused expression.
“No. She was a good customer, but she's been picking off the smaller preds for a while now. Ego thing. She had this coming for a long time,” relief washed over Lyric, “so this is better for business in the long run. And you put on a good show for the patrons… but you are gonna have to pay her tab.”
They nodded, and finally allowed themselves to indulge in a delirious grin. The tab was a small penalty to pay. Adrenaline and endorphins were still raging through their veins, making their head swim and their skin tingle, especially across the vast expanse of belly that lay before them . Deep contours and bulges lay beneath their skin, so stretched across the monster woman’s huge body that they could make out the coiled shape of her tail, packed inside. The glowing lights of the bar reflected on their skin, picking out every curve. Their top had torn in their gorging- the side seams wrenched open, and their choker had snapped long ago, scattering its beads to the winds.
As the wave of pleasure hit them and rolled throughout their body, their gaze drifted back to the bar and the platter that had been abandoned at Una’s interruption. There were a couple of prey left.
Shame to waste them… they still had some waiting to do, after all…
Notes:
Took a little step away from Lyric's more existentially 'realistic' (lmao) adventures for some old fashioned meet and eat with a teeny bait and switch twist. I've had this in my drafts for forever and finally got the nerve to edit and post.
Sorry to anyone who loved Una, I love her too but I needed an antagonist and Lyric does not let their prey go. RIP you sexy, sexy bitch, you were the worst (/affectionate)
