Chapter Text
A skinny small girl with tan skin in snowy Russia is walking with her parents who are much more pale through an animal exhibit.
”MOMMA LOOK!” The girl yells running to the bear taxidermy and hugging it “Big teddy bear!”
The mother unfazed looks around obviously used to her hyper activity. “Lara, stop. We can’t afford to break anything in here.” She says slightly more worried that the family trip is going to take a turn for the expensive.
“Sylvie, we talked about it. There’s no need to worry anymore. Financially? We are set. Family trips. No more crappy hostels just penthouse parties and food sent up to us by women with big titties.” The father says dressed a little more flashy than Lara and her mother
Sylvie looks uncomfortable with his remark and like she was hit in the stomach by what he said “I- yes that may be the case…can you not talk about that in front of Lara?…Please. She’s a good girl.”
The father looks slightly offended that Sylvie would suggest changing the way he speaks. “I talk around her the way I like. She doesn’t do anything. Doubt she’s smart enough to understand any of it.”
Lara just walks away embarrassed as her parents argue looking at a tiger taxidermy. “Woah…” she says looking at the big teeth and the muscles of the tiger before flexing her arms that have little to no mass.
Lara walks deeper and father away from her parents seeing a crocodile exhibit, she looks around before climbing on the display walking onto the back drop to get a closer look at the reptile. Rubbing her hands on it, looking into its eyes, seeing if she can fit in the crocodile’s mouth before laying down next to it away from the light.
She slowly drifts away sleeping. It doesn’t even feel like a couple minutes have gone by until she heard it…
“LARA!” Sylvie yells with panic in her voice practically running through the exhibit. “LARA PLEASE!”
Lara jolts awake before quickly climbing out of the exhibit. “I’M HERE MOMMA!” She yells trying to calm her mother.
Sylvie turns seeing Lara climbing from the exhibit, her heart full of relief and disappointment that Lara would do something like that. “We’ve looked for you over an hour! The police were called…why’d you leave us like that?”
Lara face reflects guilt. “I didn’t wanna be there while you and daddy were fighting…because…uh…when I’m…when I’m there he always yells at you more and says stuff that kind of hurt my feelings.”
Sylvie grabs Lara’s hand kneeling. “Lara…that’s no excuse…but…I understand…I really do…but I need your daddy. Without him I’m struggling on the streets alone.”
”You were struggling with him too momma…” Lara says.
“Yes but now…he has money and we can finally get you that thing you wanted for Christmas…” Sylvie says.
Lara nods before hugging Sylvie.
Lara’s father walks around the corner extremely upset. “Fuck is wrong with you!? Wasting our time like this?!”
“I’m sorry daddy I fell asleep and-“ Lara is cut off
”I don’t care when we get home I’m beating your ass…come on.” He says motioning for the mother and daughter to follow.
Lara starts tearing up as sylvie holds her hand walking behind the father.
During a long silent car ride Lara is sitting back in her seat scared.
“Fuck you crying for? You knew you were wrong.” The father says.
“No I didn’t…” Lara instinctively remarked before wishing she bit her tongue.
“Lara…” Sylvie says trying to defuse the situation.
At every stop on the way to the house Lara’s father hit her before stopping in the front of the home.
“Get out.” He says to the mother and daughter.
Sylvie and Lara walk out and into the house. Lara immediately goes to try to put on multiple layers but is grabbed by her father who spanks her with all of his might repeatedly.
Lara cries out in pain “STOP IT!”
”WANT ME TO STOP!? THEN STOP GETTING IN TROUBLE!” Lara’s father yells as he beats her.
Lara cries out trying to protect her back and move away.
“PLEASE STOP!” Sylvie yells grabbing his hand only to get pushed to the ground.
Lara’s father begins stripping her of her clothing until she’s just in a shirt and underwear before dragging her outside into the snow locking the door behind her.
the ice outside not helping except cooling her back end from the irritation Lara is crying as she hears more fighting in the house. She’s outside for ten minutes before the door opens and she’s pulled back in by her father who spanks her for crying before sending her to her room.
Sylvie comes into Lara’s room bruised but still sorry Lara had to endure what she did.
“I…I’m sorry. This is my fault. I should’ve looked for you harder…I knew you liked animals and were touchy.” Sylvie says her eyes freshly dried of tears.
Lara remains silent in fear that her speech my trigger her father’s anger.
“Your ninth birthday is coming up…I promise to save up the cash your father gives me for our stuff to leave…ok?” Sylvie says somberly before leaving the room feeling like a failure of a mother.
The father on the other hand has friends come over who all party and drink completely ignoring Sylvie’s beaten appearance.
“Diomid, no drinks in this house? Food?” A man asks.
“Sylvie! Get in the kitchen bring cold drinks and get cooking.” Diomid says
Sylvie still jumpy and tearing up goes to do as he asks. Later bring warm food for all the men.
“Diomid, you settle no? You can have five wives all sexier than her.” A man says
”If I divorce her she takes some of my things. Then the government hears about my money because of this bitch getting bitter. No. I’ll just keep some younger ladies on the side eh?” Diomid says laughing a little with his friends.
Sylvie stands unfazed by his comment, the only thing that matters to her is leaving.
“Ohh she’s trained well? Didn’t even flinch at the joke.” A man says as they all laugh.
Lara walks out silently still in her underwear and shirt smelling food she’s scared to walk past the big men.
”Fuck wrong with the little bitch?” A man asks.
“I beat her ass for being disobedient. What do you want?” Diomid asks
”I’m hungry…” Lara says
”I made enough for you too…” Sylvie says walking with Lara holding her hand.
“Are those daddy’s friends? What are your friends like?” Lara asks.
“Well you’re momma’s friend…” Sylvie says smiling through her pain as she makes food for Lara.
“I…I wanna be strong…like a bear or something big…like an elephant momma.” Lara says.
“Gotta eat first then…” Sylvie says giving Lara food as they sit on the floor.
This experience repeated from when Lara was unable to walk to now. Fighting was all she knew…except for those moments of peace, moments with momma. Who taught her all things caring. Fighting at school daily was Lara’s outlet for hate she couldn’t release on her father going up against mean girls while fighting boys even if she lost. She fought not to just win but get stronger. She’d only fight those worthy, those who hurt people or were mean to teachers.
Immediately after eating Lara observed the group of men from a corner holding a kitchen knife before one of the men noticed.
“Diomid, looks like she thinks she can scare us.” He says laughing.
Sylvie looks over at Lara before running over to her, Lara walks back into the kitchen followed by Sylvie.
“DON’T DO THAT!” Sylvie says taking the knife.
Diomid walks into the kitchen puffing out his chest. “think you can take me? Your real parents were afraid to keep you and I can smell the coward on you too.”
Lara’s heart skipped a beat equally out of hate and hurt.
“We ARE her real parents Diomid, she just had an outburst…” Sylvie says.
“Look at her skin, look at ours, look at her hair, look at ours.” Diomid says pointing out Lara’s curly locks as to their straight hair.
“That DOESN’T matter…please.” Sylvie says with a determination to make Lara feel at home.
Lara looks at the knife Sylvie took from her “You aren’t my daddy.” She says with hate.
“Yeah? I knew that.” Diomid says
”Just…leave her alone.” Sylvie says.
Diomid slaps Sylvie grabbing her face. “Tell me what to do again. I dare you.”
”Leave us alone.” Lara says.
Diomid looks at Lara prepared to beat her before his friend comes putting his hand on Diomid’s shoulder.
“Stop…remember? This would just be evidence for a divorce and losing everything…” he says
Diomid throws Sylvia back walking back into the living room.
Lara immediately begins to walk to her room. For the next few months the house was peaceful, too peaceful, Sylvie and Lara healed of their wounds but Sylvie never forgetting their goal. Having just enough to get a place to stay for a couple months in the country side waiting until nightfall to wake Lara who she had discreetly packed for.
The mother and daughter took Diomid’s car but the cold start woke him up not giving them enough time to let the car heat up Diomid immediately blitzed outside as the car pulled out of the driveway and he opened fire on the car narrowly missing Lara and Sylvie as they sped away.
the two near death immediately found time to celebrate.
“YEAH IN AND OUT!” Lara yells looking back out the back window, adrenaline surging through her body.
“I…I DID IT! WE GOT OUT!” Sylvie says excitedly.
As the keep driving the adrenaline runs out and Sylvie feels moisture on her thigh as a bullet bounced through the car frame and hit her. She stays silent about it covering up the wound as the drive further into the country side.
The two make it to a home in the countryside and the home is empty, cold, but safe. The they both get settled in as Sylvie tries not to walk with a limp.
“Momma! I can’t wait to have friends in this house!” Lara says.
“Mhm and…there’s animals here…” Sylvie says trying to excite Lara and it works.
“WHAT ANIMALS!?” Lara asks
“A lot. Don’t go out too far without me. There’s bears and tigers. Not safe BUUUT we can plan to be safe and have fun.” Sylvie says smiling.
“Momma….you’re bleeding.” Lara says
Sylvie looks down smiling. “Nothing too bad baby. I’m fine. Just need to let the bullet fall out. Looks like he could’ve missed an artery.”
”What’s an artery?” Lara asks.
“It…if you’re shot there…you bleed A LOT. Like *Spirting noises*” Sylvie says dramatically recreating and artery spray from the thigh and neck before smiling back at Lara who’s laughing.
The two get a good night’s sleep and they enjoy their cabin living for a few days. Lara went camping with Sylvie, they celebrated her ninth birthday, and even got to celebrate Christmas.
”MOMMA YOU GOT ME THE TOY DOG! THANK YOU!” Lara yells jumping and hugging Sylvie.
Sylvie smiles finally happy with the way life has been going in a long time.
A knock on the door is heard.
“Must be those friends of yours.” Sylvie says excitedly.
“I…didn’t make friends here.” Lara says
Sylvie looks slightly taken aback shrugging it off before opening the door.
Immediately Diomid bursts in grabbing Sylvie by the hair. “Think you could just steal MY car and I wouldn’t find you bitch?”
“LARA! RUN GET HELP!” Sylvie yells as Lara runs out the side door.
“There’s no help for miles from here dumb bitch.” Diomid says, alcohol on each breath he takes.
“I’m not going to tell on you…leave me and my daughter alone.” Sylvie says struggling.
“You stole money, my care, and if I let you walk my reputation.” Diomid says.
“Reputation…? Big man…beating on women who can’t fight back? You ruined your own reputation. I was happy…happy we left you.” Sylvie says.
Diomid slams her head into the wall dragging her into the bathroom to run a shower over her head. Sylvie struggles against Diomid but his out of shape looking body held more strength than expected.
Lara runs into the forest, the only place she knows before throwing a rock at a bear startling it. She used the adrenaline she had booking it back to the home. The bear closely behind. It was hard to imagine, Lara’s little legs carrying her so far so quickly before she ran back inside.
“MOMMA!” She yelled looking behind her…the help…it’s gone…the bear wasn’t there anymore.
Diomid walks out holding Sylvie by the throat, body still wet from the shower but the sound of Lara gave her a second wind to fight back before Diomid slams her down stomping on her head.
Struggling to stay conscious Sylvie reaches out. “Go…run Lara!” She yelled. Her face bloodied before getting stomped more.
Lara walks forward before deciding to throw the toy at Diomid’s head getting his attention to chase her outside.
“You can’t live. You’re gonna tell the police.” Diomid says marching outside towards her.
Lara runs into the forest.
“KEEP RUNNING! I’LL BE WATCHING YOUR HOUSE AND YOU’LL DIE OUT THERE WITHOUT A COAT!” Diomid says walking forward before deciding to turn his back to see the bear coming from the front yard. He pulls his gun shooting at it repeatedly most shots upsetting the bear and the others missing before he’s attacked.
Lara watches the mauling unfold in front of her waiting an hour before coming from her hiding spot walking over Diomid’s body. He’s still breathing.
Lara runs into the house immediately reaching Sylvie.
“Momma?…” she says through tears. “Momma wake up…”
Sylvie’s body is limp, beaten to the point of becoming unrecognizable. Lara dragged her body to the couch putting her to lay down putting snow on her wounds.
“Momma…I’ll take care of you…” Lara says
“Get…get help.” Diomid says stumbling inside bleeding heavily. “Lara…get help for daddy.”
Lara looks at him with hate. “You’re not my daddy…” Lara says.
“momma’s already dead but you can’t live move away from here…a life of luxury with daddy no country living…” Diomid says stumbling towards the two.
“NO SHE ISN’T MOMMA IS JUST SLEEPING! WAKE UP MOMMA!” Lara yells.
Stay here then little bitch…I’ll be back for you…” Diomid says even in his mauled state managed to drag himself to his car leaving.
“momma……” Lara whispers the idea of her being dead killing her on the inside.
Lara backs away running into the woods in her winter outfit. Nothing except the idea of being alone and Diomid coming back fueling her.
Lara spends a couple days out in the wilderness, starving, thirsty, and scared of going back home.
Lara has been trying to sneak up on rabbits to eat but she can’t tell if her hunting skills were lacking, her heart wasn’t into it enough, or both.
walking the forest she sees a partially eaten carcass of deer. Scared to approach and disgusted by the idea of eating something that still has eyes she knew she had to.
Lara kneeled down, slowly putting her hands on the body before trying to rip a piece of meat off and eat it but she immediately vomited before trying to eat it again. She powered through eating until she was full and tried moving on. She looked for any source of water. It took her some time to reach a stream kneeling down and drinking.
Her body full and hydrated Lara continues with what she does to pass time. She kept sprinting up hill then sprinting back down repeatedly before beating into trees with her barehands.
she continued this process for months in the wilderness the snow fading, her winter outfits outgrown and used as pillows, her close getting tight not only because of a massive growth spurt but also because she’s putting on muscle faster than expected. She tries walking into where someone may live to get clothes. As she walks she comes across a few fruits she took note of earlier on in the year. Eating apples and pears straight from the tree.
Lara finally makes it to a house. Her body fully bear outside of her other clothes being wrapped around her she waits and watches the house. Stalking for hours until nightfall she looks around the country side house. The door left unlocked, she walks around the house eating whatever she could from the kitchen, looking through their home for anything like lighters and fuel, before creeping into the room a man and woman, hear weight making the floorboards creak by she didn’t wake them.
She goes to the closet finding pants, a shirt, a spare jacket, and shoes but she could only fit the man’s size 10 shoe, she took all she needed, wrapped it up in a sack made of her old clothes tied together, and snuck back out.
she lived as a hermit, only ever seeing people of she watches them from a far she didn’t care about anyone else though she just wondered if Diomid was still alive…
She trained everyday just in case he was. Her punches now not only shaking trees but digging into them. She’s agile enough to catch the animals on foot now, has the know-how on hunting and survival.
one day she comes across a bear watching over her, she walks towards it as it stands tall trying to intimidate her. The bear looks down at her.
she remembers the day back during her trip seeing a taxidermy version just smiling.
“Big…teddy bear…” she say running and spearing it as if trying to tackle it but it falls onto her forcing her to use her leg muscles to body slam it.
She bounces back up getting distance looking at the bear getting up to charge her.
the bear goes to swipe at her but she dodges climbing its back putting it in a head lock making it stand falling on her knocking the wind out of her.
she gains her composure dodging back to safety before getting mauled, she punches the bear with a full body haymakers punch staggering the bear.
“See momma…?” She mumbles to herself beating on the bear more.
a couple of hunters come by and see the spectacular view.
Lara goes in between the legs of the the large bear before lifting it and slamming it.
“What the fuck…” a hunter says as he just watched someone body slams a beast that’s easily over a thousand pounds
This catches Lara off guard before she’s hit with a swipe to the ground, the bear going in to bite she sticks her hand in the bears mouth.
as her hands bleed from binging punctured she whispered “I’m sorry.” Before yelling and putting all of her strength into breaking the bear’s jaw and wrapping her legs around the bear’s neck slowly suffocating it and even after it’s it stops moving she holds the choke until it’s dead.
The two hunters slowly clap erupt into cheer.
”THAT WAS UNBELIEVABLE WHAT THE HELL!?” A hunter says
Lara looks at the men with distain in her eyes before walking over to them. Easily looking over them she says. “I took no pride in the death of the beast. I did it because you put me in a position where I had to.”
“Woah high pitch voice for a big stron woman like you.” The hunter says.
“I’m only nine years old.” Lara says.
The guys laugh before looking at her dead serious face.
“The fuck they feeding you?” A hunter asks.
“Today? That bear.” Lara says going to the bear.
“You have to be careful. Not all parts of these animals are edible-“ The hunter is cut off
”I’ve survived long enough.” Lara says.
”She’s fucking with us…no way a chick is nine and over six foot five.” The hunter says to the other.
“Ain’t no way a person who’s six foot five with the frame of the average gym goer can body slam a bear…but here we are…” The other hunter claps back.
“Hey take this!” The hunter gives Lara a water carrier, a knife, and flashlight. “You may need these.”
Lara takes the water carrier. “My momma wouldn’t like me carrying a knife…” she says going from intimidating to sheepish.
“Where is she…?” The hunter asks.
“She’s…near by.” Lara says backing away from the two hunters.
“come with us. We can get you clean, have meals, and tell us about it.” The hunter says.
“I said no.” Lara says
The hunter backs away back to his friend. “Okay…then?” He says walking away.
Lara spends a few years in the forest, her reputation with those hunters spreading folklore around Russia, the giant woman they call her. Some enter the forest to find her but she usually finds them first, hiding away. Over the few years she had become a legend to some, a myth to others. That was until she was sixteen.
she now uses the bear pelts she obtains for clothing as she had reached a staggering eight foot eleven. She finally walked into town.
Her height, her skin, her…muscles. Each vain looking like tree roots. Her overall appearance immediately put eyes on her as she tried to remember the path to her old childhood home.
people pulled out their phones recording her. “Dude…there’s no way that’s healthy. All muscle and no body fat? She makes Arnold look skinny…” a guy says recording.
This all makes Lara uncomfortable, she feels like a freak, and all she can do is blame Diomid. She would’ve never gone through what she did, if not for him.
She continues walking “Momma…I’m scared.” She says with a little more base in her voice.
her brain still in the mindset she was when she left the house. Not quite child but not yet adult.
She walks into the bar and the first thing people notice is the fact she’s wearing a bear as clothing down to even gloves.
“My god…” a man says looking up from his drink.
“The giant lady…” a woman says holding her husband.
“I…I wanna find Diomid…Diomid Vyacheslav…” Lara says.
Everyone looks around not knowing the name.
Lara begins to leave before someone asks.
“Why? Someone you know?” A man asks.
“Yeah…he ki-…he hurt me and my momma when I was little.” Lara says
”May god have mercy on the soul that pissed you off.” The man says.
“No god would allow what happened to my momma…” Lara says leaving the bar the only thing she knows is the address of her old home, she prepares to run across Russia back to where she was raised.
As she reached her old home after finding maps to it she goes to knock on the door. As it opens a little girl looks up at Lara’s towering frame before her mother pulls her back.
”Excuse me?” The mother asks.
“Diomid Vyacheslav.” Lara says.
“there’s…no one of that name here…” the woman says going the door but Lara stops it.
“Can you get information on previous renters?” Lara asks.
“Who the fuck is at our door?” A voice asks.
Diomid comes out.
“They’re…looking for a Diomid my love and I said we didn’t know them.” They’re woman says hiding her daughter from both Lara and Diomid.
“Who the fu-…wait…Lara?” Diomid says his face changing from confusion to realization as he rapidly pulls his gun but Lara grabs him.
“Not in front of your REAL daughter.” Lara says gabbing him by the face lifting him off the ground.
”I SUFFERED ENOUGH FOR WHAT I DID TO THAT BITCH! WHY ARE YOU HERE!?” Diomid says struggling and afraid.
“No…death isn’t deserved here.” Lara says taking him to her old bedroom breaking his wrist with a simple snap followed by screaming.
Lara throws him on the ground stomping on his feet, legs, and arms breaking all of them into splinters.
“PLEASE STOP!” Diomid says in tears.
“Stop this. Now.” A woman says it’s the mother aiming a gun opening fire on Lara.
it hurts but they are all superficial wounds to her, she takes the gun, pulling the slide back and breaking it off as the family looks shocked how it broke.
the daughter runs beating on Lara’s leg trying to hurt her but quickly realizes she isn’t doing anything.
“I…wanted a happy ending…with my momma…” Lara says.
“…Sylvie…You want Sylvie!? You-AUGHHH“ Diomid is cut off by another stomp shattering his hip.
“You…don’t get to say her name…” Lara says stomping on his head with a sickening crunch leaving the mother to scream in horror and the daughter to be traumatized before leaving them all with the clean up.
Lara goes back into the woods, her life goal completed, all she has now is nature and a feeling of guilt as she did something her mother wouldn’t have wanted her to do.
“I’m…I’m sorry momma.” She says sitting in an open field.
”Seems your training went a little too well…” a woman with a Portuguese accent says walking up to Lara from behind.
“I’m…I’m done…I don’t wanna be anyone’s freak. Please leave me alone.” Lara says
”My daughter…you just started your life.” The woman says.
Lara turns around to see a tan skin woman with muscles, a chiseled body, cheeks, and jawline, short middle part hair, late thirties, and wearing an orange tiger pelt.
”I…don’t have the energy for these games. Go back to your gym or something.” Lara says
”I don’t need a gym.” The woman strikes at Lara sending her to the ground.
Lara hasn’t been hit like that in a while, the two women take off the pelt capes fighting in the open field but Lara can’t land a single punch.
The woman is moving like a fly around rushing air landing a strike every half second even while dodging, and Lara feels all of it falling back.
“My daughter, you haven’t even tapped into your full strength. You don’t even know how. You’re stronger but you lack technique…I left you because I wanted you to live a life in civilized society. I looked for you one day and you weren’t at home…I then heard of a woman in the woods and had to see for myself.” The woman says.
“You…LEFT ME! You’re not my momma. You weren’t there.” Lara says
”But I am your mother. The one that gave birth to you.” The woman says looking up at her towering stature.
“Come…meet your family. Don’t isolate…and don’t stay and wait here to be arrested.” The woman says.
Lara stops to think before finally deciding.
“Okay. Let’s go…’mother’.”
