Chapter Text
Rain heard their voices before he saw them. He hadn't seen his best friend Sky for weeks now, something tells him that the man is avoiding him for some reason and he can't put his head around it. What did he do this time? Tired of being ignored he went straight to Sky's dorm after his classes hoping his best friend will explain everything to him, he had a spare key to the other man's room, that's how close they are.
Not thinking of anything bad he quietly opened the door and saw a familiar pair of shoes on the rack.
"Ey, isn't that Phayu's shoes..." He whisper to himself.
Confused and bothered he let himself in and saw the empty living room and kitchen which means Sky must be in his room. He cautiously walks towards the slightly open door when he heard them....
"This isn't supposed to happen Phayu, this would surely break Rain." Sky hisses while Rain heard his bf's familiar hum. He does that when he wants Rain to calm down, it seems to have the same effect on Sky.
Rain can't move, the idea of Phayu with Sky is absurd, he never thought this can happen. Sky is with Prapai, then why is he inside his room talking with his boyfriend Phayu sharing some secret, talking about him. He put a hand on his chest because he can't breath, it's as if all the oxygen has been trapped inside his chest until it's only pain that can be felt.
"But it happened, so we can't do anything about it but to move on, together." Pahyu quietly said taking Sky's cold hands into his own.
Rain walks one step forward and saw them from the slightly opened door. Pahyu looking at Sky the same way he looked at him. Between them is a pregnancy test held by Sky's other hand.
Tears flowed, shock is written on Rain's face as he walks backwards. Taking a deep breath before looking around, this is where Phayu spends his nights, those nights he failed to come home because of work reasons. It has been months and Rain is not so dumb, he knew something's up, he knew something's changed... he's been waiting for his boyfriend to talk but what he doesn't know is that it's his beloved best friend who has put a rift between him and Phayu.
"Out ... I need to get out...."
He ran towards the door, goes out and slammed it shut. He ran towards the exit, he ran outside the building, he ran until he gets tired and and his legs can't move anymore.
He experienced heartbreaks before, but not like this. Not as painful and soul breaking as this. For he love Phayu with all his heart but he loved Sky with all his soul. He thought other people can break him and treat him like shit like what Phayu did but never Sky....
Sky would never....he will scold him and shout at him for his stupidity but he will never hurt Rain....
But he did.
"What do I do...what do I do...."

Sky looked around when he heard the door shut. Confused and alarmed he walks out of his room and went straight into the doorway. It's closed but not locked.
"Rain....." He whispered to himself. There's only one spare key and he gave it to Rain. He is sure that the other man has been here, maybe he heard his conversation with Phayu. The fact that Phayu is inside his room is an indication enough of what has been going on, and he knew Rain is not as dumb as he seems, he's just naive.
He grabbed his cellphone and sent a message to his best friend
RAIN I'M SORRY
"Phayu, you need to go. I think Rain was just here and heard us. He found out about us already." Sky said as he walks towards the man who crosses his arms.
"Let him be, I have no patience for his tantrums now. I'm planning on talking to him after our meeting today but it's okay that he found out everything na. Come here..." He grabbed Sky by the shoulder and make the smaller man sit in his lap.
"It's bound to happen, let him be for a moment. I will talk to him once he calm down already. You know how childish he can get."
No matter how Sky object about Phayu's decision he knew he can't change the man's decision so he just let everything be.
"I'm sorry Rain, I'm sorry I took everything from you."

Rain has been sitting on the bridge for hours, just enjoying the air as it filters through him. He had no more thoughts left, his brain is completely blank. He just knew his heart aches, his eyes is swollen from crying... he's beginning to feel exhausted from all these drama.
"Why does it have to happen to me, I just want a simple love story and a peaceful life with my lover. Why do things get complicated."
He looked down and saw the perfect blend of black and blue water from the lake. Pretty, it reflects the light from the moon. So this is why so many have jumped into lake and just end their misery.
Wouldn't it be nice to just jump, be cloaked by the darkness and softness of the water. Rain leaned forward slightly letting gravity takes on it's job when someone grabbed his arms in a tight grip, put a arm around his chest and pull him towards the other man's body.
"What the fuck Rain! What the heck are you trying to do stupid!"
Rain turns his head around and look up at the taller man holding his limp body.
"P'Phai ....I just want to end the pain."
The taller man looked at him in exasperation.
"This is not a good thing ending your own life. Come with me...if you're overwhelmed with what you're feeling right now be with me and talk to me. I will listen." Prapai gently said, recognizing that look from Rain's eyes. He had that before, when Sky end things up between them.
Rain stands up on his own, he slowly turns so that he is facing the taller man now. Prapai still have his work clothes on, it's too late into the night and he seems to still immersed with work, drowning himself just to forget.
"Did you know?...".
"Know what ..."
Rain knew in that moment that Prapai didn't knew his best friend Phayu had stolen his boyfriend from him.
"Are you and Sky still together?"
"Actually we broke up a couple of months, that's why I decided to entertain my parent's request to go back to our mansion and stayed there for a few months."
Prapai gently said as he walks closer to hold Rain by his arms, supporting the young man who's shivering from the night.
"I'm guessing you and Phayu have a huge argument now? But it's not a reason to put yourself in danger Rain."
Rain looked at the taller man in pity, how could Sky hurt and deceive this gentle man before him.
"They're together, I only found out now. That's why I'm like this.. " he whispered as he looks down.
"What ... No that can't be true... Phayu is my brother he can't do that."
Rain looked down and let his tears fall down.
"Rain! Rain!" Prapai shouted as he grabbed Rain's unconscious form. The younger man has fainted.
He carried Rain and got him inside the car as quickly as he can. He knew he had to go to the hospital and get the smaller man checked over before anything else. He can't dwell on his emotions right now. He just can't.
"Just a little bit more Rain, don't worry I will take care of you."
