Work Text:

Sam looked back and saw Felix holding the pictures from the crime scene. They stopped at a corner. Sam stuck his head out and looked around. “Coast is clear!” Sam and Felix rounded the corner quickly. Sam was very aware of his surroundings. He knew how mad Reverend Mother would be if she caught them in the convent. He knew that there would be hell to pay if she knew that Sister Boniface was still working on the case. All of a sudden he saw the movement of a whimple and Reverend Mother chastising a poor nun.
“Hide!” He frantically whispered. He took Felix by the shoulders and shoved him around the next corner. He pushed Felix hard against the wall and pushed himself close to Felix so that they wouldn’t be spotted.
All of a sudden he looked at Felix’s face now only inches from his own. Sam suddenly felt the heat radiating from Felix’s body. Sam froze. He didn’t think he had ever been so physically close to Felix before. He could close the distance so easily. He looked from Felix’s eyes down to his lips and back to his eyes again. Was Felix thinking the same thing?
Felix said something. But Sam’s head was going in a million different directions so he had no idea what Felix had said. “...huh?” Sam whispered. Felix responded again, “She’s gone.” All of a sudden the situation came back into Sam’s head. Sister Boniface. The case. Sneaking into the convent. “Oh! Yes.” Sam took a step back and smiled wide. “I’m sure the Sister will be able to figure everything out.” Sam didn’t mention how cold he felt when he had stepped away from Felix’s heat.

Notes:

I wanted to write a scene where Sam shoved Felix into a wall and I was like we never saw them sneaking in to the convent. That totally could have happened.
The title is from "Pirates of Penzance". Hopefully Sam and Felix are better at sneaking then the pirates.
