Work Header

the wrong Redfield

Summary:

“You and Chris did what?” Claire’s voice was louder, her body leaning over Jill while resting on her elbows, the covers sliding down her naked body to pool around her waist. It was a calm Saturday night, both with their bellies full of chinese food and cooling down after a long session of sex, sweat still drying on skin. Claire’s hair, now free from its usual ponytail, was wild and tangled.

Jill was still on her back, the eyes previously looking lazily at the ceiling now found her partners ones with amusement.

“He never mentioned it to you?” calloused fingers from Valentine’s hands carefully ran through reddish brown locks.

“That you two dated? No, I think I would remember that.”

Notes:

silly and short but i actually like this a lot :') english is not my first language so forgive me for any mistakes!!

hope you like it :)

No, I think I would remember that.” while still shocked, her eyes closed momentarily and a deep sigh escaped plump lips as short nails scratched her scalp. “When? How long ago was that?”

Jill hummed, rummaging her brain for the information. Young, careless: still in her mid thirties, she still felt like both. “A few years after Spencer, actually. A while back.”

Claire’s eyebrows furrowed before the shine of her almost gray eyes found Jill’s.

“Don’t leave me with just that, Jill, come on. What else? Was it so bad that you both found out you were gay at the same time?”

Jill snorted at that, pinching Claire’s behind softly.

“No, quite the opposite, actually. We got along really well, you know how me and Chris are, but…”

A warm body glued itself to Jill’s side, breasts pressed together and legs tangled lovingly, a hand up and down her scarred belly.

“But?”

“We got along pretty well in a sibling-like way. Spending time together was great, dating was great - we did that normally as just friends, it worked. But when it came to more…”

Jill glanced at her, a little skeptical about the sex talk in this situation, but Claire was curious. She was always curious.

“You guys couldn’t have sex” it was an affirmation, a righteous one.

“No, we couldn't. Making out was okay, but everything was so stiff and awkward after that. We never got to that point.” Jill cringed just remembering the scene, the change of subject and finding something else to do. “Still, we hoped things would turn out okay, so we pushed this awkward relationship for a few months.”

“Ouch. That’s rough, I get why he never told me about it. How did it end?”

Jill snorted, looking lovingly at Claire and taking her chin between a thumb and a pointer.

“You, actually. He introduced us, and I don't think I've ever felt butterflies on my stomach until that very moment.”

“What? Shut up.” Claire slapped her arm, pouting with a slight pink on her cheeks. “Don’t play with me, Valentine. I wanna know!”

“I mean it!” Jill laughed, eyes finding the ceiling again as she tried to remember the moment. “I knew I felt something for women, whatever that meant to me at the time. I just didn't know I didn’t feel anything for men, and if the only man I could possibly consider dating wasn’t the one…” a shrug moved her body and her eyes were back on Claire. “When he introduced us, I just knew. I had the wrong Redfield.”

Claire glared at her, her eyebrows together and her cute lips in a pout, the flushed in her cheeks all the way down to her chest.

“Are you fucking with me, Jill? Since when are you so cheesy?” despite the frown, her body pressed itself closer to Jill, almost becoming one.

“I mean it,” her voice was soft, cupping the warm cheek on a rough palm. “I broke up with him after that. He didn't care about the break-up, but told me to take care of his little sister’s heart.”

“And then he found out he was gay.”

“Yeah, that too”, she laughed.

Clare sighed, leaning to rest her cheek between the valley of Jill’s breasts, cushioned and warm.

“That’s funny. He probably didn’t mention ‘cause he knew i’d tease him forever.”

“Probably, yeah.”

Jill’s heartbeat was strong against Claire’s ears, her favorite sound, instantly lulling her to a sleepy state. Meanwhile, her weight pressing down on Jill’s body had the same effect.

“He’s probably happy, though”

Hands found the small of Claire’s back, stroking the soft skin with fingertips.

“Hm?” Jill asked with heavy lids.

“Happy about us,” a big yawn parted Claire’s lips, noisy and strong enough to make her eyes wet “Happy that I’m not dating a dropout jerk with a motorcycle and a ponytail.”

“I am, so no shame in that”

“Jill, i swear to god”
