Work Text:
Joshua sighed as he discreetly massaged his arms when he saw his manager enter the stock room. His body was aching from the relentless shifts he’d been pulling, yet here he was wiping another table again. His manager’s voice echoed in his ears, always reminding him to pick up the pace. He honestly felt tired from everything. Bills were due tomorrow and his paycheck felt like dust slipping through his fingers.
He leaned against the counter for a moment, his mind a chaotic tangle of money, groceries, chores, and the latest fight with his father. The old man’s words still burned in his head.
“You’re useless if you can’t pull your weight.”
Joshua shook his head and tiredly smiled when his workmate, Soonyoung was worriedly staring at him. He forced himself to wipe the last table near the entrance. He felt like passing out but he still needed to move.
Too tired and distracted, the rag had already slipped from his hand and landed on the shiny, expensive-looking shoes of a customer who was about to go out.
Joshua gasped. Bowing repeatedly as he scrambled to pick the rag and trying to wipe the expensive-looking shoes. “I’m so sorry!”
He heard a low chuckle which made him cold. “Careful there,” came a smooth, teasing voice.
Joshua finally looked up and his breath hitched. The man before him was striking— he had sharp features, a confident smirk, and an aura that screamed power.
Joshua kept on bowing as an apology. He felt scared that his manager would see and reprimand him as he just wanted to go home and end the day already. Soonyoung even went to them and bowed as well with Joshua.
“I’m sorry, sir. I can do everything you want. Just please don’t tell my manager about this.”
He felt Soonyoung slap him lightly on his back for what he had said.
“Hey, relax. Stop bowing, don’t worry I won’t tell your manager.” Joshua felt chills when the rich man’s brow twitched and darkly chuckled. He stared at Joshua intensely, “But what you said seems tempting. You’re going to do whatever I want?”
“Y..yes, sir.”
“Don’t sir me, I’m not that old. Call me Jeonghan.”
Joshua blinked in confusion. “Jeonghan…?” His uncertain tone was almost sweet and it only amused Jeonghan further.
“Good boy,” Jeonghan murmured almost to himself before patting Joshua’s head gently.
“See you soon, Joshua.”
Joshua stood frozen, watching as Jeonghan left the café with an elegant salute. It wasn’t until much later, as he lay in his bed staring at the ceiling that the thought struck him.
How did Jeonghan know his name?
-
As the days passed, his heart became heavier. The fights and the words from his father were worse than usual. The man’s words cut deeper each time, and Joshua’s stepmother’s snide remarks only added salt to the wound. He couldn’t stay in that house, not tonight.
Joshua wandered to the small park near their home and collapsed onto a rusted swing. He stared at the ground, the weight of everything pressing down on him. He felt drained and hopeless.
At least being on the swing reminded him of his happy childhood memories with his mom. He missed her. Everything seemed to fall apart when she left. Only her memories and words remained in him, his mother told him to be good always.
Always follow the goodness, Joshua .
But that reminder was too vague and confusing for Joshua. How could he know which one is good if the world was only showering him with bad things?
Sitting in his thoughts, he didn’t notice the footsteps approaching until a pair of familiar shiny black shoes came into his view. Joshua’s head shot up, his tear-streaked face meeting the familiar smirk of the customer he had done wrong the last time.
“You seem to like getting into trouble, don’t you?” Jeonghan teased, his tone light but his gaze intense.
Joshua quickly wiped his face, embarrassed. “I—uhhh, I just needed to get some air.”
Jeonghan hummed, sliding his hands into his pockets. “You looked like you could use some company.”
“I..I’m fine,” Joshua blinked, unsure of what to say. But it seems like the other was stubborn and sat on the other swing. As awkward as it was, it was a good thing that the guy wasn’t bothering him with questions or talks as Joshua had no energy to converse and interact.
They sat in silence for a while, the only sounds were the creak of the swing and the distant hum of the city. Just as Joshua began to feel a strange comfort in Jeonghan’s quiet presence, the man’s phone buzzed.
Jeonghan sighed, standing up. “Duty calls. Come on, I’ll give you a ride home.”
Joshua hesitated, “I’m fine. I could walk back home.” But he was shaken when the other just stared at him intensely. Out of fear, he nodded and eventually followed him to his sleek car. As Jeonghan dropped him off outside his house, Joshua whispered, “Thank you.”
Jeonghan smirked. “Anytime, Joshua.”
As the car pulled away, Joshua was left stunned for a while. He realized he forgot to ask how Jeonghan knew his name, but he shrugged.
Their worlds were too far apart. He was sure he would not meet Jeonghan anymore.
-
Jeonghan sipped on his alcohol as he leaned back in his chair. The glow of his ipad screen was illuminating the dark room. On the screen were photos of Joshua—working at the café, walking home, candid moment, lips slightly parted and pale cheeks.
Joshua looks so vulnerable, so tameable.
Jeonghan traced the screen that was showing Joshua’s taken picture. He hummed as he swirled his glass, still not looking away from what he had been zooming in on for minutes now. His fingers hovered above Joshua’s image before his eyes.
He’d been watching Joshua for months now, keeping tabs on him from the shadows. Jeonghan knew everything—his family background, the debts his father had piled up, the way his stepmother and stepsibling tormented him, the exhaustion etched into every inch of Joshua’s being. Everything .
But the more he watched, the more Jeonghan’s obsession grew. Joshua was his. A fragile, beautiful thing that he wanted to protect and possess completely.
Then, his gaze suddenly went to the photo frame nearby the shelf. Jeonghan gazed at the photo he treasured. It was a relic from his childhood. Inside was a photo of a white bunny—small and wide eyed. He had loved that bunny too much when he was a kid. He smothered it with attention, never letting it go. He held it tightly, too obsessed with the warm and soft feeling, and one day it just stopped breathing in his arms.
The doctor had called it “ possessive fixation .” His parents had called it sickness. But Jeonghan didn’t mind. He simply remembered the crushing grief and the promise he etched in his mind.
Next time, I won’t let it die .
His gaze slowly flicked back to Joshua’s image. The photo of him that night, sitting in the swing, curled like a bunny embracing himself from the cold. “You’re the same. Soft. Pretty. Delicate. Afraid .”
But unlike before, he would do better. He was no longer the kid watching his possession slip through his fingers. When the time comes, Jeonghan wasn’t going to let anyone stand in his way.
Not Joshua’s father, not his bitter stepmother, not the world that kept chewing Joshua up. Not even Joshua himself.
He’ll make sure they are together forever.
-
Joshua opened his eyes. He couldn’t sleep. There was a dread feeling in his chest he couldn't name. He felt eyes all over him even if he was alone in his room. He stood up and shrugged. Maybe a glass of water would somehow help to calm him down.
As he padded downstairs, a voice halted his step. His instinct told him to stop as he suddenly heard his name being mentioned.
“Yes. By tomorrow, I’ll hand Joshua over and all my debts will be cleared, right?”
Joshua froze. His breath caught as he overheard the voice of his father. He leaned closer, heart thudding as he listened to each words.
“My family and I would go live out of town after we drop Joshua there and everything will be all right, I suppose?”
Joshua’s stomach twisted. His father was planning to sell him off.
With silent and calculated steps, Joshua rushed to his room. He threw his few valuables into a bag, his heart pounding. As he slipped out into the night, he prayed he could find safety somewhere.
But Joshua didn’t get far. As he rounded the corner, a familiar car pulled up beside him. A sleek black car looked like it was waiting for him. The window rolled down, revealing a familiar smirk.
“Going somewhere, Joshua?”
Joshua’s heart sank.
The car door opened with a soft click and Jeonghan swiftly stepped out. Joshua’s breath caught in his throat as his mind was running a lot of thoughts, torn between fleeing or asking for help.
Jeonghan didn’t seem to mind his silence. In fact, he went closer, casually brushing a stray lock of hair behind Joshua’s ear. The soft gesture made Joshua’s legs feel like jelly, his body was betraying him in the most confusing way.
“I don’t think you should be out here all alone, Joshua. It’s not safe.”
“I..I’m fine,” Joshua tried to say but it came out as a whisper. His voice was barely audible from the frantic beat of his heart.
Jeonghan’s eyes flickered at the bags he was holding. Tilting his head, his smirk deepened. “You know, running away isn’t going to solve anything, Joshua.” His hand lifted, a single finger trailing down Joshua’s arm that sent a shiver through him.
Joshua flinched at the touch. His body stayed frozen despite the frantic desire to flee. He couldn’t explain what he was feeling. There was an undeniable warmth in Jeonghan’s voice, a strange comfort that didn’t fit his terrifying situation.
“Do you want to go with me? I’ll help you run away, little bunny.”
Joshua couldn’t understand why but something in his gut told him that his life would never be the same after tonight.
-
When Joshua woke the next morning, a dull headache settled behind his eyes. His throat felt tight and sore. He sat up slowly, confusion creeping in as he tried to recall the events of the night before.
Right. He had gone with Jeonghan but he didn’t remember what had happened after he went inside the car.
He looked at his surroundings. The room was clean and organized. It was the first time he was lying down on a soft mattress.
A knock had halted his thoughts and Jeonghan entered the room just then, carrying a glass of water. His eyes softened when he saw Joshua awake.
“How are you feeling?” Concern was laced on his tone as he handed the glass to Joshua and touched his forehead. “You’ve got a fever. You should rest more.”
“I’m fine,” Joshua muttered weakly, but couldn’t hide the dizziness that swept over him as he took a sip. He hadn’t felt this sick in a long time, it looked like everything had crashed on him and made him feel vulnerable in ways he wasn’t used to.
The whole three days, Joshua was sick and bedridden as per Jeonghan. The warmth of Jeonghan’s palm against his forehead had lingered in Joshua’s memory. Despite his shyness, Jeonghan’s gentle care such as adjusting his blankets, sitting by his bedside, and coaxing him to eat, left him flustered.
“You don’t have to do this,” Joshua had mumbled, his cheeks burning as Jeonghan fed him soup.
Jeonghan smirked, brushing off the protest. “Don’t be shy. You’re here now, so let me take care of you.”
Joshua had blushed, his heart fluttering against his will. As days passed, a tiny part of him, a dangerous, fragile part began to long for Jeonghan’s presence. But he reminded himself constantly. This is temporary and soon, he’ll find a place of his own to stay.
When he finally felt well enough to move around, Joshua decided to thank Jeonghan properly. He spent the morning cooking a simple dish, pouring all his gratitude into the meal. Carrying the tray carefully, he wandered through the house, searching for Jeonghan’s room.
He knocked on several doors but received no response. Pausing at the last door at the end of the hall, he noticed it was slightly ajar. Hesitant but curious, he nudged it open.
The room was dimly lit, and the walls were lined with an array of paintings and photographs. It looked like Jeonghan’s collection. Joshua set the tray down on a nearby table, his eyes scanning the artwork. He was about to leave when something caught his attention—a large board on the far wall.
As he stepped closer, his heart began to race.
Photos of him. Some candid, others from angles he didn’t recognize. Him, wiping tables at work. Him, walking home late at night. Him, sitting alone on a swing in the park. A chill ran down his spine as he looked at the countless pictures of himself.
Joshua froze when he felt the heat of someone standing behind him.
“Oh, you saw yourself already.”
Joshua turned slowly, his breath hitching when he saw Jeonghan leaning casually against the doorframe, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Sir Jeonghan,” Joshua stammered, stepping back, his mind spinning. “W-why do you have these?”
Jeonghan stepped closer, his gaze never leaving Joshua’s wide, panicked eyes. Joshua’s back hit the wall, his pulse quickening as Jeonghan’s fingers tilted his chin upward. “Because you’re mine.”
“Relax bunny,” Jeonghan murmured, his voice a sinful melody. “You’re safe here. You belong here—with me.”
Joshua’s breath hitched as Jeonghan’s lips brushed against his neck, sending shivers down his spine. He wanted to resist, to leave, but the warmth of Jeonghan’s embrace was addictive.
“Sir Jeonghan.. I-I have to l-leave…” Joshua gulped as he felt the hands holding his waist, tightened.
“Don't call me that, Joshua. And you don’t have to leave,” Jeonghan whispered, his tone both soothing and possessive. “Stay with me, Joshua.”
For a moment, Joshua closed his eyes, torn between fear and the magnetic pull Jeonghan seemed to have over him. How could something so wrong feel so dangerously right?
His legs gave up and he fell on the floor. He exhaled shakily, his fingers gripping the hem of his shirt as if it could anchor him. Jeonghan knelt in front of him, his hands settled on Joshua’s knees, warm and firm, grounding him in a way that felt all too dangerous. His thumbs rubbed soothing circles, his touch an unspoken invitation to let go.
“Why so tense, babe?” Jeonghan murmured, his voice low and sultry.
Joshua looked down, unable to meet his gaze. “I... I shouldn’t be here.”
Jeonghan chuckled, the sound rich and knowing. “But you are and that’s what matters.”
-
His mom said good boys go to heaven but what can Joshua do if Yoon Jeonghan tastes like heaven?
His mom's words echoed in his mind repeatedly. Always follow the goodness. G ood boys go to heaven.
But now as Jeonghan was tracing slow circles on his tiny waist, Joshua didn't know which one was good or bad. All he could do was swallow hard and wanting to give in to temptation.
Mom forgive me but this is my heaven.
“You’re allowed to sin just a little, babe.” As if he could read Joshua’s mind, Jeonghan laid tiny kisses on his neck as if to reassure him. “Ssshh, relax. No one’s going to be angry, I promise.”
Heavens, Jeonghan was a stranger, but he was so irresistible. He tasted like salvation entwined in temptation. So sinful, so sweet, so addicting.
He moaned as Jeonghan continued with his assault on his neck. It was already painted in purple hues. “Hmmm, babe. You smell so heavenly.”
“S-sir J-Jeonghan… what are you doing?”
Joshua felt his body tense when Jeonghan stopped what he was doing and glared at him. “I told you to not call me that, Joshua.”
But Joshua was silent. Too scared, to even respond.
Jeonghan smirked and teasingly kissed his ear which made Joshua tremble. “You want to call me with honorifics that much? Call me daddy then.”
Joshua widened his eyes. Jeonghan was staring at him intensely, gripping his neck like he will really choke him if Joshua didn’t obey. He raised his brows as he pressed something in Joshua’s neck that made Joshua let out a noise he didn't know he could produce.
“I’m waiting, Joshua.”
“D..daddy..”
Jeonghan chuckled and quickly caught Joshua’s lips to lock him in a deep kiss. The kiss was rough and possessive. Joshua couldn’t even catch up as Jeonghan made him open his mouth so that his tongue could explore everything in Joshua’s mouth.
Joshua gasped when he felt a pinch in his nipple. Jeonghan was teasingly rubbing his chest as they kissed. When Jeonghan pulled away, Joshua was gasping for air. He screamed when Jeonghan hastily ripped his top and dived straight to his chest.
“J-jeonghan…”
Jeonghan bit his nipple hard which made Joshua wince. “What did you just say?”
“Daddy…”
Jeonghan sensually licked his nipple, tongue playing with the hard buds as he looked up at Joshua. Joshua felt something in his abdomen as Jeonghan teased him more and his hands playing with the hem of his pajama.
“Let’s undress you completely.”
Joshua was too nervous to respond but he obeyed when Jeonghan opened his thighs and laid a kiss on his inner thigh.
“Look at you. Soaking and leaking out. Does daddy make you feel so good?”
Joshua gasped when he felt Jeonghan’s tongue on his erection. He moaned when Jeonghan’s mouth reach further and further until he made the younger turn. Joshua shuddered and gripped at the sheets as he felt Jeonghan rimming him.
All Joshua could do was moan at the new sensation he was feeling. Everything was new to him and he felt Jeonghan’s hand carved in his ass as he gripped it possessively while Jeonghan still continued tongue fucking him.
“Fuck. You’re mine, bunny. You’re mine.”
Jeonghan chuckled as he laid his mark everywhere his mouth reached. Who knew the boy under him was too submissive?
Joshua whined as Jeonghan stopped with his administrations. Jeonghan was just staring at him darkly but soon smirked as he turned Joshua around to let the other taste himself on his mouth.
He pressed a finger inside Joshua’s tight hole, slow but deliberate. Joshua was just a moaning mess at this point. Writhing, flushed, painting his name like it was salvation and he didn’t know he was being ruined. He was accepting everything Jeonghan gave him.
Jeonghan smirked, curled with something far more twisted as he knew Joshua had already surrendered everything in him. So pretty, so obedient, so sinful .
Jeonghan suddenly remembered the soft bunny. The bunny in his hands back then had wide eyes and its heartbeat was too fast. Now, Joshua was under him. Joshua was staring at him with his doe wide eyes and his heartbeat was fast as Jeonghan touched his chest.
Since then, he learned. Things that are soft need to be controlled, not loved. And now, Joshua was just like that soft bunny, trembling beneath him.
“You’re doing so well,” he whispered almost to himself, thrusting his cock inside Joshua as the latter moaned louder. “So perfect. You were made for this. For me.”
Joshua was already crying and breathless. His sweat and damp hair sticking to his forehead, but it made him more sinful for Jeonghan. His lips parted in broken gasps as his back arched off the sheets.
Jeonghan smirked, feeling victorious. He’s mine. He’s finally mine .
“You remind me of something I loved once,” Jeonghan whispered, voice too calm and sweet as if he wasn't abusing the younger's tight hole. “Too much I actually broke it.” Jeonghan leaned down, lips ghosting Joshua as he thrusted deeper.
“Don’t worry, I’ve learned better now. I won’t break you. I’ll just never let you go.”
Joshua whimpered all night. All he could do was cling to Jeonghan as they fucked like rabbits all night. Every kiss of Jeonghan was deep and consuming.
Jeonghan smirked as he held Joshua in his arms. He had finally caged his favorite thing in the world.
The bunny had walked straight into his trap.
-
Bonus:
“They speed ran and crashed from being chased. They’re unconscious in the hospital but the guards are keeping tabs on them. ”
“And the father?” Jeonghan’s tone was icy.
“ He’s about to flee when the car crashed but our men caught him first. ”
Jeonghan hummed, “Good. Don’t let that bastard escape, I’ll deal with him personally.”
Jeonghan ended the call and turned to the bed, where Joshua lay sleeping. He brushed a hand over Joshua’s hair, chuckling as the younger man stirred slightly. Jeonghan smirked, everything went according to his plan and he got his bunny now. Joshua was tied to him forever and he’ll make sure he was only his.
When Joshua finally woke, Jeonghan leaned down, capturing his lips in a slow, possessive kiss. Joshua blinked up at him, his mind still foggy, but the heat in Jeonghan’s gaze woke him up.
“Bunny, you’re finally awake. Your good daddy did something great, he deserves a reward.”
