Rain, although muffled, pelted the outside walls of the Fazbear Daycare. The storm had rolled in fast, faster than expected to the point Mike Schimdit had called the parents of the animatronic children him and a few others took care of telling them it may have been too dangerous to come get them. Which to his relief they agreed with, he didn’t want anybody getting hurt.
So with that he and Jeremy got all the kids into the bedroom and managed to get them to go to sleep, even if it took an hour or two with the power outage happening in the middle of it. Now all of them are either laying in bed or on the floor in a sleeping bag.
At this point all but two of them were sound asleep. Toy, the light blue bunny hidden under the blankets and her chicken friend Doll, the tough girl of the group and one that liked to stick near the slightly taller rabbit when she could. So when Toy decided on being with her for the night the girl was definitely happy about it.
Currently Doll was taking quick glances at the lights everyone set up so Foxy wouldn't be scared, even if the kid wouldn’t admit to it. The chicken held her bunny close to her while she did, a little lost in her own world for a moment before she feels the bunny she was holding onto closely shift her position a little bit. When Doll looks down to see Toy she would find the rabbit’s blue and white face just popping out from under the blanket. Toy’s green eyes lighting up her friend’s face as they look at each other.
“Hey, How’s it going Toy?” The chicken asks with a smile. In response the bunny in her arms seemed to stretch a little bit in the limited space she was given before giving an answer.
“Yea, just a little tired from earlier is all.” She answers in her usual southern accent that she spoke with. “This is nice though, laying here listening to the rain.” She adds. Doll couldn't help but agree with that. Even if it was heavy the rain coming down had a sort of calming effect on her, though she didn’t have a clue why. To do it alongside who was her best friend made the chicken happy, grateful even.
“Yeah, I suppose so…” Doll responds with a smile, one that made Toy mirror it. She looked cute like that admittedly, even without the red blush cheeks that she normally wore to show she was apart of the Toy gang as she called it.
“Good to hear.” The little lapin says, her eyes starting to close and a yawn escapes the robot girl. Clearly her energy for the day was running short. “I think it’s time to get some sleep, what’d ya say?” She asks, quietly.
Doll could see her ears twitch every so often at the sound of raindrops falling around them alongside the sound of thunder in the near distance. Telling the two of them that the storm won’t be leaving for another several hours. As much as she wanted to lay there with Toy all night listening to it, her rabbit friend had a point, she should get some sleep. Heck she likely wouldn’t be able to anyway, no way she’d be able to stay awake that long especially when the rain was making Doll feel a little sleepy as well. “Hm, yeah. I guess. Would like to listen to the rain a bit more though.” She admits, yawning herself despite her best efforts, moving her hand to cover her mouth.
“Aw, don’t worry. I’m sure it’ll come again, than we can.” She says happily before seeing her best friend nod. “Alright, that sounds fun.” She replies.
Toy shifts a little in her place before speaking again. “Okay, Good night Doll. Love ya.”
The chicken holding her laid still as her bunny friend cuddled up to her and closed her eyes under the blanket. She wasn’t expecting the rabbit to say that to her, Doll herself has had trouble saying that same thing to Toy while the rabbit just said like it was the easiest thing in the world. Although Doll knew Toy said it in a more platonic way than how the chicken thought about it. She wasn’t exactly sure why she couldn’t, for all she knew Toy already was playing around with that idea already with Doll changing her name specifically to match the rabbit’s one despite being for a separate reason all together.
Maybe it was just the thought of her saying no or something. Toy was still trying to figure things out so both sounded equally likely. In a way though Doll was too, not exactly certain of her liking Toy that way, it felt weird and a bit wrong but her mind always went back to the bunny no matter what she tried. Though was it all that bad? Mike and PG were dating last she checked. It was still something she still had to think about. She could also ask them if she needed it even if she didn’t like it and they were limited
At least time was on her side, they were still children afterall, there was plenty. Maybe this whole thing was a childhood crush that would fade overtime. Who knows?
Until than she was content with being with the rabbit like she was now. Doll pets the bunny’s head which Toy seems to lean into a little before going back to hugging her close, not wanting to let her go.
“Yeah, good night Toy. Love you too.” Doll replies with a smile, kissing Toy’s fuzzy blue head before resting her head lightly on the bunny’s. It was nice like this, both together under the covers listening to the other animatronics in the room snoring and the sound of the rain outside while slowly falling peacefully asleep.
