Work Text:
Seth is giddy. So giddy. Ever since Mana had kissed him, he had been on cloud nine, doubting he'll ever come back down. They still dance around the topic; it was a bit hard not to with such a topic. He feels his cheeks flush even thinking about it. Which he scolds himself for; at his age, he shouldn't be blushing so easily over simple kisses.
Though, they don't dance around each other. In the meantime, there has been plenty of pressing against walls and blood drinking and stolen kisses in empty hallways. It has a sort of thrill to it, Seth thinks, sneaking around like hormonal teenagers who can't keep off one another. It has been a while since he had been involved with anyone. In any… capacity, really. But with Mana, it's fun and pushes adrenaline into his veins and leaves him breathless and absolutely, totally not so hard it hurts.
Which is why it is painfully embarrassing when, in between kisses, he rushes out, "We should have dinner together," against Mana's lips.
Mana makes a sound in the back of his throat, seeming to process what's been said for several minutes. "Dinner?"
"Uh, yeah—well, I guess you don't really… Ah, eat. Considering," he makes a vague gesture with his hands.
"Hmm, I eat. How do you think I hid this from you?" He bares his fangs slightly, and oh, God, Seth is still horny despite his stupid brain deciding this is the moment to have this conversation. "It just isn't as satisfactory or nourishing as blood."
"I could cook us dinner..." He trails off, hoping Mana picks up that there's an offer at the end of said dinner.
The other man tilts his head and smiles slightly, "Alright," and returns to his lips.
That's how Seth ends up inviting Mana over on an off day, deciding to make a simpler dish— a soup— so he could at least spend a little time with the other man instead of being confined to the kitchen. They end up eating relatively early, chatting over the meal, Mana praising his cooking. It had pulled the most embarrassing blush to his cheeks, and he almost wanted to tell Mana to continue. He insists on doing the dishes himself. Mana protests, but he waves it off. He's the guest, after all, and he's trying to woo him.
When he's done, he returns to his living area, seeing Mana investigating his bookshelf. Despite the fact he's had him over before, it still leaves him a little winded this time.
Mana wasn't dressed very fancy, but he still looked very, very nice, and Seth has to stop himself from ogling— that would be rude, and he's trying to make a good romantic impression, thank you very much. Seth felt a little underdressed, in his own home, mind you, but that didn't stop Mana from dropping a kiss on his cheek in the doorway, murmuring a "you look dashing" against his skin. His cheeks had heated at that, and he felt faint, like he did from blood loss.
"Are you silently judging my tastes?"
Mana hums, without looking back, "I would never." But the tone of his voice indicates that he totally is.
Seth laughs, settling down and observing Mana's scavenging of his belongings. He supposes he never had the chance to do this before, probably finding it rude. But now that they're... something... It's different. Probably.
He stares, despite his brain saying that it's rude, but there is a pretty man in his apartment. In his apartment for a date. He feels woozy. How did he manage that?
It doesn't take long for Mana to abandon his mini "adventure" and sit close next to Seth, their thighs pressing together, making him feel all warm all over. Despite it, Seth feels daring, and with the swift motion of his leg swinging over Mana's, he's settled on the other's lap. It elicits a laugh from him.
"Hello there."
Seth feels shy all of a sudden, his courage gone. "Hi."
However, Mana doesn't seem to be fazed, reaching up to lay one hand on a hip and the other cupping his cheek. Seth flushes.
"Have I told you how ravishing you look tonight?" He trails his lips over Seth's jaw.
Seth gasps slightly, "You— uh— might have mentioned that once or twice."
"I fear I might have to say it a few more times." He's moving further down his neck, pressing kisses in his wake, until he finds his favorite spot.
"You are insatiable, you know?" He can't help the waver in his voice as Mana mouths at it. "We just ate."
"Mn. I'm hungry for something other than soup."
Seth wants to retort and say something witty, but he is winded. And then Mana bites down, and the sound Seth makes is embarrassingly close to a moan, and he grips onto the fancy shirt beneath his fingers. He's learned from the past weeks of sneaking off and handsy ventures what Mana likes, so he scrambles to readjust, digging his nails and dragging a little. He can hear Mana's little growl of approval and smiles to himself, biting on his lip to stifle his own noises.
He has gotten quite used to being reduced to a blood bag, and he tries to give as good as he gets. Mana usually seems more content when Seth is rougher with him. And he would never complain about that. When Mana lifts off, Seth immediately dives down and crashes their mouths together, groaning into it when he tastes the iron bitterness of his own blood meeting his tongue. The grip on his hip gets a little tighter when his fingers find purchase in the mass of black hair, and he tugs. Mana nips into the kiss, and he has to resist rolling his hips at it.
They're both panting— ironic, considering Mana doesn't need air— when Seth pulls away and Mana nuzzles into his neck.
"You," he starts, "are such a beautiful and wonderful creature."
If this had come from anyone else, Seth would laugh at the ridiculousness of this compliment. But it's from Mana. And it causes goosebumps on his skin and a fuzzy feeling in his head.
"Tempting, sinful man." This one is punctured by a kiss to his neck.
He fights back a whine. "Mana, you can't say things like that..." He feels the wolfish smile against his neck caused by his words, and he playfully shoves at the man's shoulder. "You are awful."
Seth rolls off of the other man, a little shyly. But the shyness doesn't last as Mana smiles warmly at him, and it makes him want to kiss him stupid. They end the evening curled up together while pouring over a book Mana plucked off of his shelves, as Mana pokes fun at and criticizes his apparently inadequate taste in literature.
