Angel woke up, got ready, went to work, a day is a day, regardless of when you were born, Val doesn't give a flying fuck about that, most people didn't, it's hell after all!
but apparently not everyone thought that way...
"ok! we have quite a while until Angel gets back, let's get started on these decorations!" Charlie yelled with an excited squeal at the end
so Cherri hung streamers, Vaggie decorated a cake, Niffty...hung cockroaches? sure, he'll love that Niffty, Alastor stood and had his shadows blow up balloons, and Goldie painted a big banner, all while Charlie supervised with a big grin
when Angel returned, he let out a sigh and leaned against the door, before looking up with a confused hum, no one's around?
...
"surprise! happy birthday!" came the happy cheer from around the room, accompanied with sparkly pink confetti falling around an open mouthed Angel
"you guys decorated? how did you even know it was my birthday?!" Angel walks over, letting Niffty and Goldie hug him
"that was me" Gold Spice says with a small raised hand "i heard you tell Fabine at work, i hope that's ok..." they say nervously
"ok?! this is amazing! i haven' had a birthday party in years...thanks guys" he looks to the side to hide the small tears of joy prickling his eyes
they serve the cake, laugh, talk, and by Charlie and Lucifers request, play a couple of silly party games (honestly they are one in the same)
and when the night ends, most head to bed, and Angel hangs out at the bar, laughing with Cherri and Husk while Goldie, Charlie and Niffty are cuddled on the couch after the excitement
"thanks for a...pretty cool night, guys..." Angel smiles, holding up his glass
the other two follow suit with a laugh
"always Angie! glad we were able to do this for ya!"
"yeah, this wasn't half bad..."
