Chapter Text
Fifteen.
The mere thought of her was able to make Zero’s heart flutter. He’s only seen her once but from that interaction alone has brought so much joy in his heart and mind.
The stories he made in his head with her, fantasizing if she would ever say yes to him, to love him like he does with her. He hugs his pillow every night, wishing that was her instead. Wishing that she really was hugging him back and cuddling him on the freezing snowy days. For her to play with his hair, feeling her hands on his head and when she was satisfied she’d hold him close to her, not leaving any air pass in between them.
But those are all dreams. Dreams that might never come true.
She was intelligent, intimidating, strong, and effortlessly beautiful. She was much taller than Zero too, him being at shoulder length next to her if he’d had to guess.
He sat at the edge of his bed, holding his pillow close as he stared into nothingness. He can’t get his mind off of her. Sighing, he laid down, hugging his pillow tighter as he buried his face in it. He very much knew he can never make Fifteen like him back but he just can’t help but feel as though that just might not be the case. She was cold and straight-forward. If anyone even entered near her cabin they’ll return bruised or burned. If anyone left their item there she’ll take it and never give it back. No matter how much it means to you or you even if you beg to her, she look you down unempatheticly and burn you with her flame thrower.
He flipped to the other side of his bed. His crush is never going to like him back and it broke his heart. She wasn’t the type of Algerbralian to feel sympathy or love. She wants to be alone and nothing else. It was pretty clear with that. The “KEEP OUT” signs scattered all over her property that almost everyone ignored and the way she harmed everyone was no joke.
He closed his eyes and let sleep take over him.

The next day followed. It was almost the afternoon and everyone was in the Equation Playground. Four was arguing with Two and X was trying to stop them, Eight, Nine, Six, and Five playing Janga as Seven tries to sabotage them, Ten running away from Fourteen because he was trying to eat his skin, and the rest of the Zeros were talking near the swings.
He wasn’t the person to talk with anyone here really. Everyone just thought the Zeros were just extras laying around in the playground. If he were to talk to anyone it’d be his siblings but he got bored of them. He was the joke to the them. They always find a way to embarrass him.
Then it hit him. Why doesn’t he go to see Fifteen? The worst she can do is burn him. He smiled at himself and walked away.
“Yo Zero where you going? Gonna take your pillow and act like it’s Fifteen again?” One of his siblings called as the others snickered.
He furrowed his brows and flipped them off, not bothering to look at them.
Zero thought of Fifteen again. If he were to go there, he should bring her something. Something that’d make her like him. What does Fifteen like?
He could chop up some wood and give it to her since she lives in a cabin but that won’t be really romantic. He needs to give her something that would make her like him but at the same time a hint of romance is in his gift. Why not a box of chocolates? Who doesn’t like sweet things from time to time. Though, he shouldn’t get one that’s shaped like a heart. She’ll find it too corny or something. Zero thought about anything else for a bit more but couldn’t find anything that she’d like.
“Guess I’ll settle with the box of chocolates…” He sighed.
