Chapter Text
It's a matter of minutes. The first glance, the decision to close the distance, test the waters, lean in for a kiss..
His straightforwardness surprises Yuji, but he reciprocates the kiss regardless, letting him know that he's free to continue. His body welcomes the affection and craves more, after months of no casual sex. It doesn't matter that they're complete strangers, haven't spoken a single word to each other, or that this is not a gay bar, but a regular club where it was very unlikely for him to find a man for a one-night-stand.
A man who's so perfectly his type, what's more. Not that he's complaining. He's lucky tonight.
"Gojo Satoru. Nice to meet you," the guy says into his ear, a hint of amusement in his eyes. The noise pushes Yuji to respond the same way, placing his hand on the man's nape.
"Is that how your introduction usually goes?"
A chuckle escapes the stranger. "I don't have to introduce myself."
"Oh, really? Are you that well-known?"
"For the wrong reasons," Gojo shrugs.
"I've never seen you before."
"And I hope you won't ever have a reason to. While I'm at work, anyway."
That's intriguing.
"A police officer?" Yuji guesses.
His expression says it all. He's looking at him like at a naive kid, but he can't be that much older. His appearance works in his favor and makes his tilted head and crooked smile seem charming while he's both metaphorically and figuratively looking down at him.
"Why? Are you into that?" Gojo asks, violet, blue and pink colors flashing across his face. "I'm willing to wear a uniform for you."
Yuji was sure he was imagining things when he noticed the man's eyes on him, sweeping over his body. Attraction was the last thing he expected. Curiosity or judgment -definitely, but for this man to be interested in him romantically? He's bold and the confidence of his is his most prominent trait.
Gojo goes for another kiss and Yuji can't help but ask: "Was it this obvious?"
"Hm?"
"That I like men," he adds. "You didn't think twice about kissing me."
Gojo's hands travel his body. This kind of intensity would've normally discouraged Yuji since he likes to get to know the other person better before moving forward. Gojo gives him no time to decide, but strangely enough, Yuji likes it.
"What's obvious to me is that I like you and that you know how to say no. You would've moved away or punched me if you hated it."
"So you risked it."
"It was worth it," Gojo's smile widens.
A familiar feeling blooms in Yuji's body. He barely drank, yet his head is spinning and he feels stupidly giddy. It's unfair how ideally this guy fits his every criteria -tall, well-built, handsome and not overly serious. He has great hair too.
Yuji isn't picky by any means. He's willing to sleep with almost anyone who turns out to be compatible with him and has at least one of the traits he likes. It's so rare for him to meet someone like Gojo -so picture-perfect that it's almost suspicious. It's as if he was sent from heaven.
'Don't get too excited,' Yuji chides. 'You don't know him.
"Anyway, how old are you?" he asks, gently removing Gojo's hand from his lower back due to the surge of self-consciousness.
"Oh, do I look old? I'm twenty-eight, but good thing you're asking. You look of age, but kids these days grow up so fast."
"You're only three years older than me!" Yuji says, the pleasant surprise softening his expression. He stumbles when another couple hits his shoulder. Now that they're still, the dance floor suddenly becomes too dynamic and Yuji decides to pull the man to the bar for a proper talk.
"Strawberry liqueur, please."
Yuji throws him a look before ordering. "Whisky neat for me."
"Woaah, very adult-like!"
"I am an adult," Yuji points out.
"Well, then I guess I should've said manly instead," Gojo hums. "You've got someone? Asking just in case."
Yuji laughs awkwardly, without really meaning to. It's just too ridiculous to take it seriously. "No, I'm not a cheater. Rest assured."
"You don't look like one. Just, you know.. happened one too many times."
The bartender sets their drinks on the counter without a word.
"And you?"
"I'm not interested in relationships."
Yuji responds with a noise of acknowledgment. "Makes sense."
"What? Like you can't meet the right person in a club? You never know."
The whiskey tastes as terrible as always. Why does he keep ordering it? Yuji looks over at Gojo's drink with a tad of jealousy. The man rests his arm over his shoulder as if to let the others know that they're together.
"Are you here to dance, drink, make out with strangers and go home, or..?"
"All of the above, plus spending the night with said stranger if that's fine with you," Itadori says.
"I didn't think you'd be open to that possibility. I'm not your first man, am I?"
"Disappointed?" Not only did he sleep with men before, but he dated one too. Megumi was a great boyfriend.
"No, that's good. Do you prefer men or women?"
Yuji takes a few sips of the whisky and wipes the grimace off his face before Gojo notices. "It depends. I like to date women, but sex with men is much better."
"I see. I'd love to take you home, but.. there's a small issue. How about you take me to your apartment? I'll pay for the taxi."
"I don't know 'bout that. My cat hates it when I bring men home."
Gojo throws him a side-glace, finishing his liqueur. "I have one too. I'm actually really good with animals."
"No, I mean it. He's a sweet cat, but he really, really hates strangers," Yuji says as disillusionment settles in his stomach. He's giving up on Gojo slowly.
'Too bad..'
"I'll pay for a hotel," Gojo offers.
"I don't sleep in hotels."
"Ah, really?"
Yuji swirls the whisky in his glass. He's in the mood for something sugary too, but he can't admit to it. It's not that he's too good for hotels.. Or is it? Kind of? It's just that, if he's sleeping with a stranger, the least the guy could do is take him home. Gojo seems like a closed-off person, but he's not one to judge when he hasn't even revealed his name yet.
"I'm Itadori Yuji, by the way," he says, unsure if the delayed introduction even matters anymore.
"I assumed you wanted to stay anonymous. I value privacy too."
"It's okay. I know why you're reluctant. My cat is something like an excuse to me."
"What's his name?"
Yuji looks away, abashed. "..Satou."
There's a short pause before Gojo snorts. "Seriously? That's almost like me. I bet we'd get along."
"It'd take you weeks to get close to him. He's kind of difficult, honestly."
"The same can't be said about you. I don't know you, but you come off as one of those genuine kids. You know.. I wouldn't mind ending the night with a pleasant conversation at the bar, but it's hard to change my mind after I set my eyes on someone. Not to mention that we both want it. I'll take you to my place if you promise not to snoop around."
The alcohol, though disgusting, does its job and allows Yuji to loosen up. Gojo's behavior raises some questions and maybe if they met outside the club, sober, during the day, Yuji wouldn't think twice about walking away, but it'd be such a shame to ruin it now. It's apparent that Gojo cares and wants to make him his partner -him specifically, not just anyone.
"You're saying you're well-known for the wrong reasons and you're weirdly secretive about your apartment. Are you, by any chance, a serial killer?"
"Yeah.. sorry you had to find out this way."
"No, really. Are you?" Yuji questions.
"You wouldn't find human body parts if you opened my freezer."
The bartender stands strangely close to them while polishing the glass. Guess he's curious too, but another client gets in the way of the eavesdropping and waves to him, ready to order.
"It's kinda worrying that you can't give me a straight answer."
"You'll be able to get back safely."
"Okay. Great."
"But also.." Gojo keeps his eyes on the shelves of alcohol in front of them. "I can't undress."
"At all?"
"My t-shirt has to stay on, unless it's pitch-black in the room. That's all when it comes to my weird quirks."
"You've got scars? ..I mean, sorry if I'm noisy. You don't have to answer."
"Don't mind if I keep that to myself."
"Sure.."
The less than flirty conversation cools off Yuji's arousal and a sense of rush. Doing impulsive things is always more exciting.
"Wanna know what I'm thinking?"
"Tell me."
"I'd like to leave with you but I'm convincing myself not to because it sounds too much like a bad decision," Yuji says, torn between feelings and logic.
Satoru laughs under his breath. "It might be a bad decision, but only because I can't guarantee lasting too long. I'll do my best to satisfy you, but you know how it is to do it with someone you're way too attracted to."
"I don't. I've never met anyone like you."
"Want me to show you?"
Gojo's playful smile warms Yuji's heart. There's something so cute about it and it's the thing that erases his hesitance definitively.
Two hours later and he's at Gojo's place, getting stuffed with his cock. He has nothing to his defense here other than that he knows he should be working on his weakness toward attractive people.
"Hnn.. right there-" Yuji breathes out, getting pressed to the mattress, face down. Gojo is hitting his favorite spot, with the exact intensity he likes. He's neither rough nor too delicate.
Gojo mutters something about him being tight while rocking his hips continuously. His hard thrusts break loud moans out of Yuji, but neither of them has the time to worry about the neighbors. They'll have to endure the loud noises for a few hours.
"I have another pack of condoms in the drawer. Just saying.."
Itadori can barely move anymore, but he's never too tired to tease his partner. "Let's see who taps out first."
"That's the stamina I expected from a firefighter," Gojo chuckles.
This round, it's Gojo doing all the work while Yuji lies comfortably on his tummy. He doesn't even bother raising his hips, but he deserves this rest after riding the guy and making him come so exceptionally fast. It's a new record.
Another sound mixes into the moans and wet slaps. It's Gojo's cat asking to be let in by scratching on the door. Speaking of which..
The first thing Gojo did upon entering the apartment was picking the cat up and peppering him with kisses. Yuji got to look around a bit, but it was a brief tour, during which Gojo acted even more suspicious than before and hid something in the wardrobe, then shut it quickly before Yuji could see what it was. The darkness of the room makes him that much more uneasy, after the weird situation.
"You can let him in.. ng-"
"I can't. He'd want to cuddle."
The cat keeps on scratching the door for a few more minutes. Satou was the same when he used to bring other guys home. He hated being left alone.
The meowing and scratching stop eventually, but the cat's stress evokes a bit of guilt in Yuji.
"Faster?" Gojo asks, his voice ragged with arousal.
"Mm.. yes."
The man picks up a quick pace, fast enough for Yuji to forget everything around him and roll his eyes back in unbridged bliss. Gojo's hand clenches over his, their fingers intertwined as if they're in love. Truth be told, Yuji missed it a lot -doing it with the person he's dating instead of choosing a different guy every night.
The image of Megumi crosses his mind for a second while he jerks himself off. He can lie to himself all he wants, but he misses him. He hasn't exited his life completely, since they remained friends, but it's not the same anymore.
"Haa.. almost there."
"Me too," Yuji grunts. The longing inside him hasn't lessened one bit, instead growing stronger and stronger. He's so close to another orgasm and yet he shuts his eyes in frustration. "Hold on-"
Gojo's movement stutters before stopping. A long exhale can be heard next. "What's wrong? Are you not feeling it anymore?"
The concern in his voice assured Yuji that he made the right choice tonight. He had the displeasure of sleeping with guys who treated him like a fleshlight or a call girl rather than a sex partner.
"Hug me," Yuji requests without thinking.
The man pulls out, turns him around gently and leans down to embrace him. Yuji clings to him with his whole body.
"Mh.." Gojo lets out another huff of air while putting it back into the boy's slick hole. "You're surprisingly affectionate."
"You too."
He hasn't smiled this much with anyone else so far, he realizes. Not even with Megumi, though the compatibility is similar. Is it the alcohol's doing or simply Gojo's company? He can't be sure, but he's in an amazing mood. Those thoughts reappear sometimes and he can't control it -Megumi makes his way back into his mind at the least appropriate moments. He's just not made for casual sex. He's really not.
Gojo begins to move and finds his prostate easily -positions himself perfectly to rub against it with every thrust. His tongue rolls around Yuji's, the sweetness of the liqueur mixing with his saliva slowly.
"Aw, whiskey is not my favorite, you know."
"I would've brushed my teeth if you gave me the time. You pounced on me the moment we got here."
"I'm just joking. You're too cute for me to care about little things like that."
Gojo kisses him with eagerness. His hand brushes against Yuji's as a way to ask for permission. Itadori lets go of his member for the man to wrap his fingers around it. His palm engulfs Yuji's not-so-small erection, making him look tiny. He was never insecure about his size, height or masculinity in general, but in comparison to Gojo.. Ouff.
Yuji feels no scars on the man's back, no indication of past injuries or anything that could be the source of Gojo's secretiveness. He may be too obsessed with his body, as simple as that. He does look like someone who treats the gym like his second home.
"A bit lighter," Yuji murmurs and feels Gojo's hold loosening around his dick. "Thanks."
Gojo's length strokes his sensitive walls so well, reaches the best parts and reminds him of the feeling he had long forgotten -the fullness so deep inside him, it almost scares him. His heart hammers against his ribs, his breath uneven as he digs his nails in Gojo's skin. Scratching is not his usual thing, but the guy is going so fast, slams into him so hard that he feels like he's losing his mind. He doesn't even register the moment when he starts to cling onto Gojo so aggressively.
The bedframe hits the wall with every jerk of Gojo's hips, the loud noise muffling Yuji's moans and gasps for air.
"G-gojo-san..!"
Satoru snickers, relishing in the cute sounds his movement draws out of Yuji. He's close to mewling.
"Come on, let's finish together," Gojo says in a soft, amused tone.
His muscles tense up involuntarily and he lets out a long, pitful whimper as Gojo moans into his ear. Itadori shoots out, a portion of his cum landing on his own stomach while Gojo comes inside of it -more specifically in the condom, which now fills Yuji with regret. One of the rules he made up for himself is to never-ever allow unprotected sex, unless he's dating the guy. The euphoria of the climax brings up the bright idea of making Gojo an exception to the rule.
Yuji connects their lips, mostly to shut himself up. Otherwise, he's going to say something stupid and regret it later.
"Fuck.. I can't stop. You keepin' up?"
"Mhm.."
It's a blatant lie. He thought he was the horny, touch-starved one, but Gojo is absolutely unmatched in bed. His stamina and experience are amazing and Yuji would've asked for his number if it wasn't for all those little secrets of his.
He really needed a night like this -so thrilling, satisfying and ideal in every way possible. It's the kind of sex that he needs a few days to recover after, but he's so looking forward to the deep sleep and waking up sore, covered in hickeys.
His dick pulsates in Gojo's hand. He's totally overstimulated, but if this is the only night he gets to have with this man, he needs to make the risk worthwhile and do it as many times as possible.
Gojo pulls out with a sigh, then removes the condom and ties it up. Yuji remembers how he used to laugh at his boyfriend for looking wiped out and needing a nap after just one or two rounds. He's always been the one with bigger needs in every relationship he's been in.
"Another one?"
"How about a little break?" Yuji suggests.
Gojo agrees without a complaint. "Sure. We have the whole night."
There's a subtle rustle when the man puts the condom away and lies down next to him. He props himself up on his elbow, seemingly full of energy while Yuji can't find the strength to lift a finger.
"Were you pent up?" Yuji asks, staring into the darkness.
"Kinda. I don't like to sleep with just anyone so it's been a while."
"Mhm.."
Gojo is his best sex buddy so far, but he can't help comparing his every partner to Megumi. He used to kiss him and brush his fingers through his hair after sex, which Gojo doesn't do.
"How quiet. Don't tell me you're thinking about your ex."
His eyes widen in shock and he rises subconsciously. "I, uh..-"
"Wait, really?"
'Oh my god, it was a joke..' Yuji thinks in panic.
"No, it just took me aback. I mean, I thought about him for a moment, but that's it. I'm not one of those people, you know-"
"Okay, okay, it's fine," Gojo assures and plops on the bed with a sigh. "Was he better than me or what's the deal?"
Something like this would've hurt any man's ego, so Gojo either doesn't care what he thinks or is only playing all cool and indifferent.
Yuji goes back to a comfortable position. "It's not about sex."
"So you still love him?"
"Not about love either."
"Then?"
"I don't know. I just thought about him for a moment," Yuji says, according to truth.
"Ah, I shouldn't have asked."
"Does it ruin it for you?"
"I think jealousy is pointless in this case, but.." Gojo pauses to think it through. "It's fine. I can't control that part. You're free to think about him."
The man ruffles his hair, the friendly gesture reminding Yuji of something an older brother would do. It shows how Gojo views him as a kid, despite the small age gap and adds to Yuji's mixed feelings.
"Actually, you're one of the only people I was able to sleep with while focused -no wandering mind or anything. I thought about Megumi briefly, but it wasn't a conscious decision. I was there, present, for once I actually preferred someone else over him."
His confession clearly lifts Gojo's spirit. "Doesn't that make me a little special?"
"Yeah, I guess that's what I'm trying to say," Yuji smiles to himself.
The kiss seals their little reconciliation. More often than not, alcohol makes Yuji confess some really stupid things. He tends to make an idiot out of himself, but he manages to keep some things secret -like the fact that he can imagine himself sleeping with Gojo even without alcohol, or maybe even dating him since they get along so well. He can appreciate how understanding Gojo is, but is it a reason to suggest dating? He has no interest in it. He said so himself.
Yuji empties his mind of any expectations, opting to focus on the kiss and Gojo's hands on his body.
"You have great hair, you know that?" Yuji murmurs between kisses, his hand buried in the white locks. It's as soft as Satou's fur, but he keeps that part to himself. It would've killed the mood if Gojo burst out laughing.
"And you know how to use your tongue."
"Oh, you're yet to find out," Yuji teases.
"Is that a promise?"
"I'll show you if you earn it."
Gojo caresses his stomach and cups his half-hard member. The friction of Gojo's palm around his girth brings him to full erection slowly, each, methodic stroke building arousal inside the boy all over again.
"I'll fuck you so good, it'll sober you up."
Yuji laughs at that. "Can't wait. Try not to pass out before I get to blow you."
Gojo pulls him closer by his hips in one, swift movement, then shifts his hands to the boy's plump buttocks and lifts him. Yuji is more than ready for another energetic round, this time with his hips in the air and arms comfortably resting under the pillow.
"Nnng..!-" Yuji bites his lip not to cry out when he feels Gojo entering him again, pushing inside in a rush.
"Moan as loudly as you want. Don't hold back."
'Come on, I want to hear you,' keeps playing in Yuji's head a week later, the memory of Gojo's playful tone refusing to fade away still.
Truth be told, he rarely ever remembers his partners' names, but it's the alcohol's fault rather than his apathy. The night with Gojo stuck with him because the guy treated him well and had a cute cat. That's all there's to it.
"You'd love them," Yuji says to the white ragdoll currently occupying his lap. "Or so I think? You didn't hiss when you sniffed me."
Satou purrs loudly while making biscuits. He's not that open towards other cats, so Yuji expected him to sulk and ignore him for the next few days after finding out that he 'cheated.' To his surprise, Satou nuzzled against him and meowed.
"His name is Satoru and he calls his cat Tora. It's small and orange, quite the opposite of a tiger," he says, scratching Satou's chin. "Do you like him because he's small? I didn't know you had any parental instincts. Should I get you a kitten?"
Satou is the best when it comes to helping him unwind after work. The cat licks his fingers and rubs his face against him while the boy ponders over his longing. He'd like to see Gojo again, but forgot to ask for his number. He'd spent the following morning staring at his back, wondering what could be hiding under the black turtleneck. Gojo got up first and even made him breakfast. He seemed like a normal person, so what was that fuss all about?
If Yuji were to point out anything truly strange, it'd be how the apartment didn't look lived in. Gojo told him a bit about his dislike towards routine, but wouldn't it be a pain in the ass to move this frequently? It's like he's running away from someone. Is he in debt?
Looking at it from this perspective.. maybe it's for the better that they can't meet again. He came off as such a warm person, though, judging by the way he treated his cat, shamelessly kissing and cooing at him, calling him a yam, sweet potatoe or torenka.
Maybe interrupts his little peaceful moment of daydreaming and Yuji lets out a quiet sigh before picking up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, are you busy tonight?"
"No, why?" Yuji asks. Satou meows in disagreement.
"Wanna hang out?"
Yuji presses his lips together for a moment before deciding to feign indecisiveness. He'd already made up his mind.
"Hmm.. at my apartment?"
"No, I was thinking about going to the park with the dogs or inviting you to my place for a drink. We'd chat, watch a few movies and go to sleep no later than midnight. You can take my bed. I'd be satisfied with the couch."
"I don't feel like drinking."
"You don't have to. It was just an idea."
Yuji looks into Satou's blue eyes in deep thought. The cat bats his thick, white lashes at him as if asking him to stay. 'Pretty please?'
"I told myself I'll spend more time with Satou from now on. I left him for the whole night the other week."
"Well.." Megumi drags the word out. "I think he'll be okay if you go out from time to time."
"I go out way too often."
"Then maybe you could switch hook-ups for meeting up with your friends?"
Yuji rolls his eyes. There he goes, Mr. know-it-all. Easy for him to say, when he'd found a girlfriend shortly after their breakup. He doesn't have to sleep with strangers to feel an ounce of intimacy and to remember what it's like to be wanted. Hana adores him. She's practically obsessed with him.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm not judging you, but.. what I meant to say was, why don't you try dating instead? Go on a few blind dates, or something."
"Thanks for the advice," Yuji says, abashment twisting his face. Getting love-life advice from your ex has to be the most awkward thing ever. "But I think I'll pass. I'd have to bring those men home eventually and I don't want to stress Satou out. Besides, you know how jealous he is."
"This is concerning, to say the least."
"How so? I'm fine with the way things are."
"Are you really?" Megumi asks with doubt so apparent that Yuji can almost see the expression he's making right now -how he tilts his head and furrows his brows.
"I'm happy while single, unlike.. some people."
"Yeah, I wonder who. I thought you got over that. I'd stay single like you if it wasn't for the crush she had on me. Pure coincidence. It's not like I went straight to downloading dating apps after we broke up. I didn't do it on purpose."
"You didn't have to accept her right away," Yuji shrugs, petting Satou who's now slow-blinking at him. "But then again, what is it to me at this point? It was your decision. Let me make my own too."
"I said that as a friend, not as a bitter ex, envying how content you are in your solitude. I know you and this kind of lifestyle is just not what you need right now. If I were you, I'd be working towards desensitizing Satou and making him more familiar with strangers. That should be your priority. He can't keep scaring off your potential partners. It's just a pet."
"I'll think about it."
"Oh, and Yuji..-"
Another lecture. Itadori pretends to listen, thinking about how he shouldn't have picked up. He knew what it was about and how the conversation was going to end, but he craved to hear Megumi's voice.
Yuji gazes out the window and notices a new car in the apartment building's parking lot. It's an expensive one and he'd never seen it again, so he assumes it must belong to some visitor. What proves against his guess is the trunk of the car being open, full of boxes.
"Oh, I think someone's moving in."
"Are you listening?"
"Yeah, sure," Yuji murmurs. "Should I say hi?"
"Why do I even try? I think I'm giving you valuable advice, but it's up to you if you want to ignore me. Go ahead."
"Can I? Sorry to get in the way of your speech."
It's a man -the one carrying the heavy boxes, anyway. His new neighbor might be a woman whom this guy is helping out, and if so, they might need an extra pair of hands. He's always happy to help.
"They're moving in next door! That place has been empty for so long. Anyway, thanks Megumi, I'll call you back."
Yuji ends the call and looks around. Should he bring something? Or is it too old school? He's not a stay-at-home mother of two to be doing stuff like bringing the neighbors a freshly baked pie to welcome them. A simple introduction would do the job.
There's no one in the corridor when he steps out, but the door to the apartment stands open and he notices a few heavy-looking boxes by the entrance.
Itadori straightens his back when he hears footsteps -the indication of his new neighbor coming back, carrying another portion of his belongings.
"Oh."
Yuji freezes when he sees him. The man stops in his tracks as well. There's no need for an introduction. The white hair and blue eyes are unmistakable.
Gojo Satoru.
"Wow. What a coincidence," Yuji chuckles, feeling a bit awkward about the unexpected reunion.
Gojo moves finally and looks over at the number on Yuji's door. "You live here too?"
"Looks like it."
The eye contact that follows the exchange is nothing short of uncomfortable.
"Anyway.." Yuji attempts to end the conversation by stepping back and closing his door slowly. He was supposed to avoid this man, wasn't he? Getting caught up in some shady business by befriending this suspicious person is the last thing he needs right now.
"W-wait, I'm not a stalker..-"
Yuji disappears behind the door before Gojo gets to explain himself.
He should've been more careful what he wished for. He kept thinking about how he misses the guy from last week and there he appears before him as his new neighbor. No takebacks.
