Another day at work passed, while two alphas entered the house with the children, who immediately went to see their little “sister”.
Byeol : Aerum (smiling, approaching SeungMin who was holding his daughter) How was your day?
SeungMin : I slept, ate and played (tried to imitate her 5-month-old daughter's voice)
Byeol : Sounds good
Gunhoo : That's the best part of the day
SeungMin : Who brought you?
Byeol : Channie and Jinnie
Gunhoo : The right one is appa Channie and appa Jinnie
The little alpha rolled her eyes at her brother and continued to make faces at the giggling Aerum.
SeungMin : And the school didn't send you anything to do?
Byeol : Hangul again and bills
SeungMin : Then let's go to the classroom and do our homework.
The two children ran ahead of SeungMin to the living room where they found Chan and Hyunjin sitting on the sofa resting.
Chan : Aerum (wiggling his fingers, calling her to his lap)
The baby screamed excitedly and started waving her body in the direction of the older alpha, who grabbed her with a huge smile.
Hyunjin : Hello to you too Aerum (he brushed his nose, making the little girl scream with happiness)
Byeol : Where's Sungie?
Chan : He's with omma and appa Min
Byeol nodded and sat down next to her brother at the big table, spreading out her school supplies, listening to Aerum's shouts as he tried to get his brothers' attention.
The door opened and the twins jumped out of their chairs as soon as they heard their mother's voice.
Felix : I missed you so much (squeezed them both on his lap)
Gunhoo : I missed you too (kissed the bigger one on the cheek)
Byeol : Omma (hugged him around the neck)
Jisung : What about me?
The twins smiled in the direction of the other omega, but didn't leave Felix's lap while Minho kissed each one's head, before going over to his companions.
Aerum looked around the room and let out his typical excited baby cries when he saw the two omegas in the room and tried to crawl off Chan's lap towards the two of them.
Minho : Aerum is mine (he pretended to bite the baby, who pushed the alpha's face away with her hands but laughed)
Jisung : No, she's not (picked up his daughter) My baby
Felix smiled at everyone, however, squeezed the children tighter in his lap and the door to the house was opened where the betas of the gang entered. Changbin quickly grabbed Gunhoo from the omega's lap.
Gunhoo : Noo (laughs)
SeungMin : Let's finish the work
Byeol : I don't want to (pouting)
SeungMin : But it's almost done
Byeol : Omma help?
Felix : I'll help Yeollie
The omega walked with the little girl on his lap and sat on the chair with her, Gunhoo got off Changbin's lap after greeting Jeongin and ran towards his sister.
Chan looked around and let out a sound of happiness at seeing his partners all in the same space, as it should always have been.
The first step to being there was working on communication, then mutual respect between everyone and those around them.
Accompanying Jisung's pregnancy had made the alphas and betas mature even more, since they now had a little one to depend on.
Chan could still see how much Minho resented seeing SeungMin and Jisung exploring the world of parenthood together and not being there for his own offspring.
Telling the twins about their biological alpha had been a mixed bag. Gunhoo took it well and started calling them appa and respecting them as such, while Byeol was a completely different story.
The little alpha didn't treat them as appas, even though Gunhoo sometimes corrected her, the girl ignored her brother's words and continued in the same register. And when Felix interfered, Byeol would cast traitorous glances in everyone's direction.
Byeol's treatment hurt a little, but in order not to cause discomfort and a bad atmosphere at home, they let it pass.
Aerum's crying interrupted Chan's thoughts, but she soon shut up when Jisung began to breastfeed her, making the alphas and betas gawk.
Jeongin : I want mine right away (he murmured softly)
Chan knew that the beta had to be “connected” to himself and the omega leader in order to get pregnant, but Jeongin still hadn't worked up the courage to broach the subject with Felix.
Which was somewhat normal, since the omega had only moved with the children to a house that Chan had bought two months before little Aerum was born.
There was still no bite that united the wolves, not for lack of will, but because it was necessary for everyone to be healthy and open-minded, and that included a Jisung without the pressure of being a recent omma.
Minho : I'll make dinner
Felix : And we're going to take a bath (he said, helping his children to tidy up)
Gunhoo : Can I take a bath with appa Jinnie?
Hyunjin : Of course we can (he stood up and started pulling his son like a puppet, making him laugh)
Chan : Byeol... (called her softly)
Byeol : Let's go omma (pulled Felix down the corridor)
Felix : Before we go, you have to tidy up.
Chan : We can do that
Felix : No (stared at the leader) They're the ones who messed it up, they're the ones who have to tidy it up.
Gunhoo tidied up quickly with Hyunjin while Byeol cast an expressionless glance in Chan's direction, but tidied up without any help from the elders.
Changbin : It's going to be hard (took a deep breath as soon as the twins disappeared from the room) But we'll manage
Jeongin : This stage is just adolescence of childhood. We have kids like this at school too. Byeol is just trying to cope with the situation
Chan : Constantly exerting authority over the little girl could have an effect in the future.
Jisung : What if we went running with them?
Minho : That would be a good idea. We let our wolf show Byeol who her alpha is and that there's no reason for her to be suspicious of us
SeungMin : Do you think it will work?
Minho : We have to try
Chan : All right (sighed) We'll do it
Chan looked at his companions again before nodding, but there was a certain amount of trepidation that took hold of him for fear of what he might do to the little girl in the future.
However, he just hoped that everything would be all right in the end.
