Chapter Text
Ragatha woke up like any other day in the circus. Get up brush her yarn filled bed head and start off her day with a smile. She knew how everyone relies on her to keep the peace even though some days it was a challenge.
She left her room to head to the stage for the annual meeting to find out what the next adventure would bring. She noticed gangle up ahead "Hey Gangle"
Gangle squeaked in surpise but once seeing Ragatha she shyly smiled "O-Oh hi Ragatha s-sorry. You o-on your way to th-the stage?" Ragatha smiled brightly knowing that gangle tended to be easily spooked.
"You bet wonder what Caine has planned for us today?" Gangle hid behind the book she was carrying "H-Hopefully nothing dangerous a-again.." Ragatha nodded before reassuring Gangle "It probably won't be anything dangerous probably another hiest or maybe something laid back"
Gangle smiled up at Ragatha before the two finally reached the stage where they joined Zooble and Jax. Gangle went to stand by Zooble showing them their book and talking to one another.
When Ragatha spotted Jax was about to trip Gangle she shouted "Don't even think about it Jax!" Jax acted innocent "Whattt I'm not doing anything doll face" Ragatha huffed before crossing her arms and giving him a slight glare.
Zooble glared as well before focusing back on Gangle's book. And so they all waited...and waited..and waited.
Zooble groaned loudly making everyone turn to them "What the h#@! Is taking Caine so long!?" Ragatha thought about it but normally he'd be here by now. Jax stretched with a groan "Maybe his giving us a free day no adventure?" Ragatha hummed in thought "No..That's not like Caine at all"
Jax shrugged "I ain't standing here all day" Jax turned and jumped nearly six feet in the air when Kinger appeared behind him "Geez Kinger next time a warning would be nice!" Kinger seemed out of it before he looked at Jax "Oh hi Jax how long have you been here?"
Jax groaned before turning to Ragatha "Hey Rags where is our little sad jester at?" Ragatha just realized then that Pomni was not with them. She raised a brow "I have no clue. Maybe in her room why do you ask?" She asked Jax having a feeling he was wanting to bother her.
Jax shrugged "No reason.." all of a sudden the lights on the stage dimmed making everyone turn Zooble sighed out in annoyance "Finally let's get this adventure over with.."
"Good morning my little superstars!" Everyone was confused because the voice around them didn't sound like Caine it sounded familiar yet different.
Suddenly they all gasped as there known shy and depressed jester appeared before them. They looked different they had Caine's style of ring leader even his staff yet the face was Pomni's and she was smiling brightly at them all.
Gangle and Zooble and Kinger were shocked into silence while Jax and Ragatha turned to each another in panic "Today we'll be having a fun in house adventure" the Pomni leader said.
"Wait wait wait who the h@#$ are you?!" Jax said quickly pointing at them. The Caine look alike smiled widely before appearing beside Jax "Why it's me Jax Pomni your buddy old pal your jester to impress?"
Jax frowned feeling quite disturbed "Pomni? What the heck happened to you? And where's Caine?" Pomni hummed before floating on her back in thought "Caine..Caine?..doesn't ring a bell?"
Zooble shuffled forward "That's b%@#$%@^ and you know it. Pomni quit messing around and act normal!" Pomni was suddenly in Zoobles face with wide eyes "I am normal Zooble what's the matter don't like me?"
Zooble shook before backing away with Jax. Pomni smiled brightly "See you have nothing to fear friends. We're going to have a get time together" but one person could see this wasn't Pomni at all..this was a totally new person.
"Where is she.." Pomni turned with a hum towards the voice seeing the ragdoll shaking with her eyes down gazed "Where is pomni..and where is Caine.."
The ring leader laughed before floating down to be infornt of Ragatha "I am Pomni Ragatha. Look at me I am feeling great" Ragatha turned her eye up that was filled with rage knowing that this joyful person with her friends face in front of her was not her.
"You..are Not Pomni.." Pomni stared at Ragatha with no expression before smiling wide and floating back away from Ragatha. "Let's all have a fun adventure capture the flag goodluck"
Ragatha stared at the ground in front of her all she could hear was static and muffled voices around her. She lost Pomni..Caine..how when what happened to them.
A hand on her shoulder pulled her out of her thoughts it was Jax "Rags..what the heck do we do?" Ragatha stared at Jax then at the rest before being honest "I-I don't know.."
Somewhere off in the tent away from prying eyes was the new found ring leader floating in there room. While deep inside their head were two individuals struggling.
Pomni groaned and hissed trying to free herself from the invisible chains that held her in place. She gulped deeply before looking up at the only other person in front of her.
"C-Caine what's h-happening?!" Caine looked worn out and tired beyond his usual self "My friend you have no clue what you have done. You've broken our codes and now we're a virus stuck together in this moster you created.."
Pomni started breathing quicker "What..what do you mean I created?!" Caine glared at her "when you popped bubble and pointed my Caine at me you ended up uploading me to your code and now we're both stuck in a void inside this creature!"
Pomni started to hyperventilate she..she can't be trapped agin in a place worse than the circus. Wait what about her friends Zooble Gangle Kinger..Ragatha!
Pomni quickly looked up at Caine "W-We can fix this right Caine? We can erase this error and go back to being us?!" Caine sighed before shrugging "I'm not sure what we can do were basically floating code now."
Pomni grit her teeth before launching herself around trying to break free of whatever held her in place she screamed so loud that her throat felt like it was ripping apart as tears fell down her face.
She hoped her friends could free her and Caine from what she had done before it was too late.
