i imagine that it's Christmas and gonza's making some fancy Christmas dinner for everyone, but he ran out of some key ingredient (ooc, gonza would never). unfortunately there are multiple things cooking and he can't leave the house, so he asks kaoru to go get the Ingredient because she's a regular adult who knows how to buy things (you cannot convince me kouga knows how money works). kouga goes along for protection because he knows kaoru will immediately get pulled into a horror plotline, and gonza will be very sad if they miss his fancy dinner. rei joins in because he senses an opportunity for trouble (and if not, he can always cause some). jabi maybe needs to buy some weirdly specific thing for magical reasons, or she's using that as an excuse to go hang out with everyone
