Summary:

Diana and Akko have been getting a lot closer lately, yet the more they do the less Diana can control a certain dark secret of hers. A secret she can and doesn’t want to hurt Akko with. One night however as Diana is busy keeping it at bay things take an unforeseen turn as Akko pays her a visit.

Chapter 1: A Ritual Broken

Chapter Text

It was a quiet night at Luna Nova. Most of its residents were asleep safe for one-star student. Diana stood still in her dormitory’s room, slow breaths leaving her as she held onto her wand tightly while numerous candles surrounded her.

The spell she was about to do had to go perfectly, its potency much greater than usual. But it was required ever since her secret has been acting more…violent.

Her eyes were drawn to her mirror. With a grimace she saw how she already had the big fluffy ears of a wolf, alongside a tail peeking out of her nightgown. She had always prevented it from getting this bad until recently, when she started to spend a lot of time with Akko. Her ma- friend.

The two had turned their relationship around for the better after all they went through. Making a small smile form on Diana’s face. She had truly started to appreciate Akko’s company. Even if the girl was the definition of unorthodox at times it was for the better, at least most of the time knowing her shenanigans. Still, it added to Akko’s charm, only making Diana more fond of the girl she considered a genuine friend.

She would make for such a good lo-

Diana glared, gripping her wand even tighter as it began to light up. Trying her best to ignore the throbbing feeling between her thighs, forcing her to rub her legs together for but a moment. Even now her secret was trying to worm its way into her, daring to corrupt her most treasured thoughts. She knew it was like this thanks to Akko in the first place and from a certain point of view she could understand, but that did not mean it was right. It only made Diana more determined to keep it down - not just for her health - but for the safety of her dear friend too.

So long as the spell would continue like this uninterrupted, everything would be fine as it has always been. And Diana can greet Akko tomorrow without anything dark inside of her. Diana could already feel her secret weak-

“Diana!” Loud knocks could be heard against the door to the dormitory alongside shouting, Akko’s shouting. “Diana, are you still up? I want to talk to you!”

Diana’s face morphed into one of horror as the spell was interrupted, being replaced by a wide eager grin for a second before she returned to her concerns. There was no way she was going to be able to complete the spell with Akko’s racket, not when it required absolute delicacy.

“A-Akko.” Diana began, once again feeling throbbing in her lower body parts. “It is way past curfew! You should be in your room just like everyone else.” Her legs began to grind, not stopping as Diana could already smell Akko.

She smelt so good…

“I know! I know! But I just really wanted to talk to you alone without anyone interrupting us. I know Hannah and Barbara are out visiting their families so this felt like a good time then any!” Akko explained, having at least stopped her incessant knocking. “So can you please let me in? I just need you for a moment.”

Of course you need me. You need to be in my bed getting bred and-

“No!” Diana practically yelled, making Akko jump while she slapped herself. “No,” Diana coughed. “right now is not a good time. If you need me we can always talk tomorrow. But right now I have other duties to take care of.”

“You aren’t doing your late-night studies again are you Diana?” Akko would chastise, likely frowning at the wooden door. “Now I really need to get in! Besides we can’t do it later 'cause then I have other stuff to do!”

Diana couldn’t help but doubt that, either Akko feared she was going to forget whatever she had to do with Diana if she didn’t do it now or whatever silly activities she had planned were just as important to her as studying should be to any proper student of Luna Nova. Diana sighed. “Akko, please respect my wishes when I tell you to go away. I’m sure we can make time for something private later this week, preferably at a better time.”

Diana felt a bit bad over shutting Akko away like this, especially with how much she had gotten used to the girl’s antics. But right now she couldn’t afford any grave mistakes. Not that she could blame the silly girl, it’s why Akko deserved to have a strong mate to guide and protect her. And of course-

Diana almost punched the wall as she tried to get the spell working again, her other hand gripping against a dresser as her body shook out of control. And Akko continued to pester her meanwhile.

“Come on Diana!” Akko said, clearly upset. “I just really want to talk to you now. It’ll only be for a bit, I promise!”

Diana started to seriously contemplate the request, she knew Akko could be incredibly stubborn. And with the tone of Akko’s voice, she sensed she was already creating a new rift if this back and forth continued. When Diana could have solved this much more tactfully if she wasn’t so frustrated right now thanks to her damn secret, already trying to ruin her life without even being in control.

A groan left her. “Alright Akko, you may enter. But please make this fast - and do not go to my part of the room. I’ve contracted a minor illness and have been trying to make it disappear for tomorrow. Please understand that I do not want to risk you or anyone else getting infected.”

“Oh, I get it! Thank you, Diana.” As soon as Akko heard Diana unlock the door using her magic she was quick to answer. And immediately Diana could smell Akko’s scent thanks to her secret heightening her senses. In this case for the worst.

Because by Beatrice, Akko smelt so good…Diana could almost visualize her. Just wanting to go out and pound her right this instant!

Diana covered her mouth as a low growl left her lips. “S-So Akko, what was it that you needed to talk to me about so urgently?”

“Right!” Akko said from the other room, luckily having not heard the growl. “I just wanted to thank you for helping me study for last week’s test. Thanks to you, Diana, I managed to get one of my best grades ever!”

Diana couldn’t help but feel ticked off. Dammit Akko, was this really so important you had to interrupt something so crucial for both of our safety? And yet Diana couldn’t be too mad, it was genuinely sweet of Akko and she did appreciate a compliment from her dear friend.

“I’m…glad I could be of assistance Akko, your studies matter a lot to me. I appreciate your thanks.” Diana still had to sigh. “But surely you did not just come here to thank me for a test, right?”

“Perceptive as always Diana, even when you can’t see me.” Akko joked, a small laugh leaving her lips that made Diana’s hair turn frazzled with how adorable it was. How did she never notice it before?

“But yeah,” Continued Akko. “I actually wanted to say I appreciate you as more than just a study buddy, or even a friend.”

Diana could feel herself throb underneath again. Oh Beatrice no, not when Akko was being so...so vulnerable.

“We’ve gone through a lot you know? I could talk on end about everything we’ve done. Or how all this time I saw you as a rival when all along you were one of the best friends someone like me could ever have.” Akko could be heard shuffling around. “What I’m trying to say - I like you a lot Diana, and when I say a lot I mean a lot. You get me?”

Diana meanwhile was biting her pillow as hard as she could, her now sharp teeth tearing through it while one of her hands desperately tried to hold back her wagging tail from making any noises with how rapidly it went back and forth. As her ears took in every detail of her Akko’s sweet words.

“I don’t want to rush you or anything, and I know this may not be the best setting to tell all this. But I felt like I had to do it today, okay?” Akko was silent for a moment. “Tell you what. Why don’t we do something together? Something real special. If you are interested...?"

Akko’s bashful hope however turned to shock and confusion as Diana let out a curse. Having tore an entire book and threw over some furniture in a desperate attempt to keep herself from going wild just from Akko’s words. By Beatrice control yourself, Diana Cavendish! You cannot let it take advantage of Akko’s kindness! You- you ca-…breed her as your rightful mate…

“Diana?! Are you ok? I’m coming!” Akko could be heard quickly approaching, as Diana’s eyes renewed with horror. She turned towards the entrance.

“No Akko! Please stay awa-“

But it was too late, Akko rushed into Diana’s part of the room and an immediate silence reigned through it as Akko made eye contact with a half-wolf Diana. Her room that was usually a pinnacle of tidyness violently torn apart in a few places.

“Diana…?” Akko began, slowly approaching her friend. “Is this what you have been hiding from me?”

Diana looked down at the ground with shame, her wolf ears drooping low. She tried to think of anything she could say, yet she was unable to think of anything. At the very least, her shock and guilt at Akko’s intrusion made it easier to suppress her-

...Was Akko petting her hair?

“Oh my gosh, it’s so fluffy!” Akko smiled wide as she continued to pet Diana. “Why would you ever hide something like this? You’re adorable Diana!”

Diana could not hide the big blush that appeared on her face, the feeling was nice. And her tail agreed as it started to wag harder. Yet any notion of this staying a cute interaction left Diana’s mind at the excitement she started to feel.

“Akko, please.” Diana begged. “It isn’t safe for you here. You need to go now, I promise I will explain everything soon but please just leave me be for now.”

Akko gave her a confused look. “I don’t get it, Diana. So what if you turn into a cute wolfgirl? If anything that makes me like you way more.” Akko in frustrating obliviousness looked at Diana’s sharp fangs as the latter gritted her teeth. “Woah, now those look sharp! Is the thing you are worried about involving some great hunger? Because I can raid a lot of meat from the school’s kitchen if you want!”

A great hunger, Akko was not completely wrong. But it was not for food, no, Diana wanted Akko herself. And as the seconds slipped by she couldn’t contain her wolfish side any longer. She had failed to do the ceremony in time, now all she could do was try to resist and give Akko the time to leave her.

Because damn if having Akko right in front of her didn’t make her go wild! Only dressed in that white shirt and cute red shorts that made her ass look so fuckable!

“Just leave already Akko! Please!” Diana snapped, looking at Akko with pleading eyes before bending over to the ground. Her body was warmer than ever as her lower body slightly humped the air.

“Diana!” Akko bends down, placing a concerned hand on Diana’s shoulder. “I’m not leaving dang it! Now tell me what’s wrong so I can help!”

Diana wished she could tell, to do anything but what was about to transpire. But she couldn’t, she was too late.

“…I’m sorry Akko.”
