Felix’s heart is pounding and his hands are sweating. They are at the beach, it’s normal for him to feel warm. But he knows this is not the sun’s doing. He closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, and looks around him. He looks at his sisters and mom, sitting in the first row. His mom must feel him staring because she suddenly looks at him. She mouths something and smiles, which helps him to calm down a little. He is still nervous, but he is also excited.

Hyunjin is in his room drinking his third glass of iced americano. He’s been up since dawn, making sure that everything is perfect. The flowers, the food, the seatings, Kkami’s suit. Everything was as beautiful as he imagined. And now, here he is, standing in front of a full-body mirror, in his perfect suit, imagining his future with the love of his life.
Hyunjin is brought back to the present by a knock on his door. A familiar voice behind the door calls to him, “Hyunjin, honey, it’s time”. It’s his mom. He takes one last sip of his coffee and a deep breath before opening the door. He reaches for his mom’s hands and heads to the beach where everyone, and most importantly, his future husband, are waiting for him.

Felix was lost in his thoughts when he heard the piano start. The pianist is playing a rendition of “사랑으로 (love.)” by wave to earth. The song was playing when he proposed to his soon-to-be-husband, and now when he is about to appear at the end of the aisle.

Hyunjin takes a deep breath before leaving the villa to join the guests and Felix. His beloved Felix, his soulmate, the person he will spend the rest of his life with. As the music fills the air, Hyunjin starts walking to the beach with his parents on his side and Kkami leading the way. He can tell Felix is holding back his tears, just like him. Yet the moment they lock eyes, he smiles.

Felix basks in the sight of Hyunjin. This is the first time he sees Hyunjin in his wedding suit and he can’t take his eyes away from him. Hyunjin looks captivating in his eggshell colored suit, holding a bouquet of white ranunculus and soft purple delphinium that matches Felix’s flower pocket. Felix can feel his eyes start watering. But before he can cry, he locks eyes with Hyunjin.

Hyunjin starts walking towards the altar, his eyes never leaving Felix’s. In that moment, Hyunjin feels as if the world is theirs alone. As he reaches the altar, Hyunjin feels like time stands still. “Hi”, Felix whispers, making sure only Hyunjin hears him. “Hi, gorgeous”, Hyunjin answers, still not breaking his sight even for a second.
The officiant and their best friend, Jeongin, walks in and joins them, “Yongbok, Hyunjin, you can hold each other’s hands”. Felix and Hyunjin were snapped back to the present. Jeongin’s words break through their bubble, and suddenly, reality sinks in—this is truly happening, they are getting married. Felix reaches out for Hyunjin’s hands first. Felix chuckles when he holds them. “Baby, your hands are cold”, said Felix as he softly strokes his thumb on Hyunjin’s hand. Hyunjin can’t help but let out a small laugh too, “I had too much coffee”. They share a knowing smile, eyes sparkling with joy, and gently nod toward the officiant to let him know they’re ready.

“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of our lovebirds, Felix and Hyunjin. Today, they join their lives, their dreams, and their eternity. Felix, Hyujin, you have prepared your own vows?”
“Yes,”, Felix and Hyunjin answer together. “Felix, you can start whenever you’re ready”.
Felix takes a deep breath, hands still holding Hyunjin’s, eyes never leaving him. “Hyunjin, I love you.”, Hyunjin chuckles and so does Felix, “I know you know this, and I know say it everyday every moment I can. I love you and will always love you in the morning when you have morning breath, when you talk in your sleep, when you’re on the toilet fighting for your life, when your thoughts are making more noise than you like, when you’re so focused on your painting that you repeatedly almost drink the brushes mug instead of your tea. I love you and will always love you even when we fight over silly things, when you drink more coffee than water, when we slow dance in our living room. I promised you forever, and I will give you forever. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together. Through thick and thin, in health and sickness, in happiness and sadness. You are my reason to live, and because of you, I am who I am.”.
Felix tries his best not to cry, but by the end of his vow, tears are running down his face. Hyunjin reaches for Felix’s face to wipe his tears. Felix holds the hand on his face and smiles. He can tell Hyunjin is holding back his tears too since he always cries when Felix cries.
Jeongin gives them a minute before asking, “Hyunjin, are you ready?”. Hyunjin turns his head and pulls his eyes away from Felix for the first time. He nods to Jeongin and starts his vow. “Love is a funny thing. I can't see it, I can't touch it. But I can hear it, I can feel it. In the way you call my name, in the way you bake your brownies for me. Love is present every morning when you make sure that the first thing I hear is you, in every laugh you let out even when my jokes are not funny,”. Felix lets out a chuckle and whispers softly, “Your jokes are always funny, baby.”. Hyunjin smiles and continues, “With you, love feels warm. Love is passionate, yet compassionate. Love is devotion, and I am devoting my life to you. Forever and always.”. Felix cries again, and this time, Hyunjin cries with him.
Jeongin sniffles but steadies himself to continue the ceremony. He looks up at the couple and speaks softly, "Hyunjin and Felix,”. Both turn to face Jeongin as he asks, “Do you promise to love, honor, and cherish each other, to stand by each other in the good times and the bad, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?". Hyunjin and Felix exchange a loving glance, a silent promise between them, before answering Jeongin. In unison, they say, "We do.".
Jeongin signals to the groomsmen, who step forward with the rings in hand. Jeongin turns to Felix and says, “Felix, repeat after me as you place this ring on Hyunjin’s finger: With this ring, I give you my heart, my love, and my soul, for today and always.". Felix takes the ring. He repeats each word with warmth and love, as he slides the ring to Hyunjin’s ring finger.
Jeongin turns to Hyunjin with a smile and repeats the same words, “Hyunjin, repeat after me as you place this ring on Felix’s finger: With this ring, I give you my heart, my love, and my soul, for today and always.”. Hyunjin’s hand shakes slightly as he takes the ring, but his gaze remains steady. He slips the ring onto Felix’s finger, repeating each word with devotion.
After they exchange rings, Jeongin smiles warmly and announces, “By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husbands. You can finally kiss!”. Jeongin lets out a joyful laugh as the couple shares their first kiss as husbands. A kiss that seals their vows and promise of love—unto forever.
