The moon peeks through the thick gray clouds, making the grass beneath sparkle like glitter with each speck of dew covering it.
Lae'zel runs her hand idly through the grass, honey-glazed eyes glistening in awe. She feels a sense of calm washing over her like a tidal wave.
"Thinking about your home?"
She startles at the familiar voice, but a small smile follows soon after.
"Yes. I'm anxious to go back."
"I understand." Shadowheart moves her white braid over her shoulder, sitting down next to Lae'zel and wraps her arm around her lover's waist.
"We'll go to The Tears. Together."
