Usopp sat criss-cross on the deck of the Sunny. A certain dino-girl hugging and cuddling him very close. His crewmates just looked at him like he was insane.
“What. The. FUCK USOPP!?” Nami yelled as she slapped him on the head. This caused the girl giving him an intense cuddle session to react.
“Hey! Don't you hurt my Sop-Sop with your grubby hands you tramp!” The girl yelled as her forehead became covered in haki. Ready to strike Nami.
“W-wait Ulti! They're your teammates now! Don't try to kill them!” Usopp said as he hugged Ulti with all the force he had.
“But she hurt you! And don't be afraid to call me a cute nickname, my Sop-Sop!” She quickly went from angry and violent to cute and cuddly again.
“How did this exactly happen?” Robin inquired. She seemed to have a big smile on her face, happy to see that Usopp found someone special to him, even if she's a former enemy.
“I was thinking the same thing.” Sanji gritted his teeth in fury. How did Usopp manage to snag a cute girl like Ulti while he's still alone in his quest for love?
“W-well, the story is quite long and-”
“My Sop-Sop saved me and took care of me while I was unconscious!” Ulti interrupted simply with what is assumed to be a smile under her mask. “He told me so many stories and made me laugh despite me trying to kill him!” Ulti gave Usopp a bone-crushing hug.
“Uh… yeah, that…” Usopp simply rubbed his head in embarrassment as he tried to breathe through her hug.
“I love you so much my Sop-Sop! Thank you for saving me!” Ulti nuzzled her nose against his.
“I love you too… darling…” Usopp said with warmth in his voice. Sanji's teeth almost broke with the force he was using to bite down in anger and the rest of the crew just either looked at them with happiness or laughed it off. With a strange exception. Luffy was staring off into the sea. The expression on his face was impossible to read. He turned to face the couple and then gave them a wide grin. He stretched his arms out to hold Ulti’s shoulders and quickly launched himself into her, giving her a huge hug.
“G-GET OFF OF ME YOU IDIOT! ULTI MORT-”
“W-WAIT HONEY! THAT'S THE CAPTAIN YOU'RE GONNA ATTACK!” Usopp quickly tried to get his partner to stop attacking his captain.
“Ok!” Ulti quickly changed her mood when she heard her sweetheart.
“Hey, you got the beast under control ay!” Zoro commented while giving his signature smirk.
“Oi mosshead! How dare you compare women to beasts!” Sanji interjected. Starting another argument with the mint-haired swordsman.
“You shitty cook! She's probably used to being called worse things!” Zoro responded with.
The two began to clash heads. Luffy put his hand out to Ulti. A huge grin on his face. “I want you to join my crew!”
Ulti had a lot of thoughts going into her head at that moment. Was she about to betray the loyalty she had for the beast pirates? To Kaido? Was she going to leave her beloved Pay-Pay behind?
In the end, she grabbed his hand with almost no hesitation. The beast pirates were disbanded, Kaido is dead, and her Pay-Pay would be fine on his own. She now had her new crew, her new life, and her new lover.
“Glad to be here, Captain.” it was gonna be hard to call him that. But she didn't mind. Anything to be with her sweetheart.
“Sanji! Stop fighting with Zoro and start cooking a feast for our new member!” Luffy yelled at the cook.
Franky got into his signature pose. “New member! How SUUUUUPERRRR!!!”
“hmph! Well I still don't think this is a good idea.” Nami gave Ulti a death glare which Ulti gave right back. Nami felt a hand on her shoulder, Robin tried to give her some reassurance.
“If you can trust me, I'm sure you can trust her soon.” Robin used her devil fruit ability to give Ulti a light shoulder massage.
“What's with everyone touching me! Only my Sop-Sop can touch me!” Ulti tried to swat the hands but they disappeared before she could. Robin simply giggled
“I suppose it'll take some time for her to trust us too.” Robin sat back down on her pool chair. Drinking the drink Sanji made her a while ago.
Chopper walked up to Ulti to introduce himself. “I'm Chopper! You can count on me to heal any wounds and illnesses you get!”
Ulti had to do a double take. “This… is your doctor?... How… CUTE!” Ulti grabbed Chopper and hugged him hard. “Such a cute talking racoon! And he's your doctor?! Oh you're such a cute little racoon doctor!”
“I AM NOT A RACOON! I AM A REINDEER! ACK!” Chopper tried to explain to Ulti.
“At least she trusts the doctor…” Usopp said as a bead of sweat dropped down his head.
“Zoro! Make sure you get enough Sake for the feast!” Luffy yelled at his vice captain.
“Aye captain!” Zoro walked to their storage room to obtain a couple of barrels of Sake they stole from Wano.
“Jinbei!! Prepare to take off!”
“You got it captain! Wah hah hah!” Jinbei's laugh was loud and contagious.
“Brook! Prepare to play!”
“Yohohoho! I'll play to the bone! Although I'm already bones!” Brook sat on the seat next to the piano.
“Let us set sail!”
After a few hours. It was night and the stars were out. Ulti and Usopp were laying together on the grassy deck. Looking straight up at the stars. The feast was a success; everyone was having fun and enjoying themselves to the fullest. The food was delectable as always. And it had ended with all of them drinking a cup of Sake to welcome Ulti into the crew. As they looked into the starry night sky, Ulti looked at Usopp fondly.
“Sop-Sop, do you think this is weird?”
“Hm? What is weird?” Usopp looked at Ulti confused.
“...us. I mean, we tried to kill each other. I hit your head so many times! I-” she felt a pair of arms wrap around her.
“Hey now, that's in the past. Even since I found you on the shore. My thoughts have been nothing but his awesome and strong and just, how perfect you are!”
“Me? Perfect? Hah! I'm not even close to perfect.” Ulti had sounded somber when speaking to her darling.
“What do you mean?” Usopp questioned
“Well… I'm loud, obnoxious, clingy, obsessive, and stupid…” Ulti had a small amount of tears flow down her face as she spoke. “At least, that's what the other members of Tobi Roppo told me… over and over and over again. Haha… I don't think any of them really liked me…” Ulti soon after broke into a soft sob. Usopp tried his best to comfort his partner.
“H-hey now! You don't have to think about them! You're with us now and if you haven't noticed, almost all of us are obnoxious and loud!” Usopp ran his fingers through Ulti's hair.
“I… I just wanted t-to be loved!” Ulti's words hit a chord in Usopp. He got the feeling all too well. His grip on her tightened.
“Well… I love you, and I'm sure the crew will too. Those in Tobi Roppo are idiots for not seeing how amazing you are.”
“P-Pay-Pay did… he a-actually cared about me… it was so easy to attach m-myself to him…” Ulti choked out. Thinking about her dear little brother was getting to be too much for her.
“Ah, I see how it is. You latched on to your brother because he actually showed you kindness. And I'm guessing it's the same with me?” Usopp questioned his new partner.
“Mmm… not exactly. My feelings for you are quite well… complicated.” A blush appeared on Ulti’s face as her sobbing died down.
“Well, whatever you feel, I'm glad they're positive.” Usopp smirked at Ulti. Ulti gave him a smirk back, her mask not able to hide her happiness.
The stars shone brightly as the two basked in the moon's glow. They were enjoying the feeling of being together. Just the two of them.
