Scar and Grian have been married for years since a little before Scar started on Hermitcraft. Only a few people know Grian’s siblings, (Martyn, Pearl, Lizzie, Jimmy) Cub, Scar's brother, and Grian’s siblings' spouses (Joel and Scott). Grian’s siblings all played a role in the wedding Martyn walked him down the isle, Pearl and Lizzie were his best women and one of the groom’s women and Jimmy was a groom's man. Then Grian joined hermitcraft with his guy in season 6 and the bet was formed between them. How long will it take for the hermits to notice the two are married?
As because what the hermits knew was Scar was single and Grian knew basically nobody on the server. For Two seasons they drove everyone crazy with their “pining” for each other nobody knowing they were married.

Then Season 8 arrived and two new hermits joined them one being a PearlescentMoon or Grian’s oldest sister, his best woman at the wedding. Someone who didn’t know the bet so as soon as he heard the name he ran to her pulled her into a tight hug and whispered into her ear
“Pearlie they don’t know about my marriage, don’t tell them it will be funny”
And she responded with a whisper of “Well Griba I’m always up for some chaos”
Then he addressed the hermits “Sorry about that I haven’t seen my oldest sister in what years Pearlie”
“Oh you liar you see M, me, Liz, and Timmy every year for Christmas with Liz and Tim’s husbands tagging along” she responded back
“I still wonder what was in the water Helga was drinking when pregnant for M and Liz to both be Bi me and Tim to be gay and you to be well you” Grian started to question to no one in particular
“Wait, you’re actually Gay” a very confused hermit exclaimed
“And that’s my cue to leave Pearl, Mumbo you coming”

Everything went smoothly during Season 8 but Season 9 was a bit more difficult see about halfway Xisuma their beloved tired admin had made a deal with fWhip a friend of Grian and X’s from admin school to be guests on his server Empires SMP a server Pearl split time on during Season 8 and one where their brother Jimmy and his husband Scott and the middle sister Lizzie and husband Joel all resided so right before they went through the rift Grian created using Magic there were a few messages sent to a family + spouses group chat

Pesky Parrot: Hey Liz, Timmy and their spouses
Cursed Apparently: Yes
Somehow it’s a Bird, Cat, and Axolotl: Does this have to deal with the glowing colorful thing
Sassy Gay Man: Do you mean me or the glowing colorful thing your husband keeps messing with also Liz stop trampling my crops and it was rude when you called me single when you know who I’m married to
Somehow it’s a Bird, Cat and Axolotl: sorry but remember the main element of your lore last season was wanting to be Elsa and Joel stop messing with it
Alien: you know why I mess with it

Pesky Parrot: So I did something and you’ve confirmed it’s to there so there's a rift from HC to Empires and us impulse-lacking hermits are going to go through but one important thing
Scar Yes: They don’t know me and G are married but we want it that way for reasons of chaos
Pesky Parrot: Yep all family possible met us at the rift we’re going through soon
Cursed Apparently: Give me a sec I got to drag our older brother out of my town if we’re having a proper before-Christmas reunion

Martyn the Magpie: I am and I’ve got the situation

Grian closed his com and turned to the group of hermits who were gathered
“Ok me and Pearl know the server we’re going to through the rift” is what Grian stated with
“But there is one thing when we arrive through the rift there will be—wait what do they look like you know the lore can affect them” Pearl said then questioned
“I do know, but a man in very colorful clothing with heterochromia, that’s Scott he organizes MCC his husband Jimmy is currently dressed like a sheriff and looks a bit like a toy but he has canary wings, the Cat disguised as a human but she has pink hair and bluebird wing and maybe some axolotl features is Lizzie and her very tall godly husband is Joel and the final one is well Martyn” Grian answered
“Wow just Martyn”
“Think about him then how would you describe him”
“You're right”
“Who are these people to you” Impulses question from the back
“Oh you’ll find out,” Pearl says and then starts telling people to head through

As soon as most of the hermits were out of the portal they saw what Grian and Pearl meant. As soon as Pearl and Grian exited the rift the three other people with bird wings huddled around leaving Grian to talk after they standed in an order that went the blonde man with a headband, Pearl, the cat with pink hair Lizzie, the Sheriff man Jimmy and then Grian
Grian then said “Can you see any of the family resemblances, one at the end is Martyn he’s the oldest older than, Pearl the second oldest by 3 years then, Lizzie who Pearl is a year older than her, then my twin Jimmy who is older than me by 30-35 minutes, this is my family all of it”
Then Lizzie spoke up “Welcome friends of my siblings to Empires as somehow the least pesky bird or little ball of chaos in my family I’m going to say this now. When my beloved husband and little brothers get to be all in the same place they’re somehow going to bring back the bad boy phase”
“Aeor no the last time they did that it was enough,” Scott interjected
To which Martyn suggested “Scott, if they go back to being Bad Boys again we can always be the Mean Gills again”
“That’s true we can,” is what Scott replied back
Out of nowhere, Joel exclaimed “Ugh, theater kids”
To which Jimmy then said “ Hey my Petal is one of them”
“Aren’t you a Toy Sheriff that nobody respects”
“Really Tim again,” Pearl said
And as the family around him bickered he realized how much fun this crossover was going to be

<Smallishbeans joined the game>
Grian was happy for his brother-in-law to be joining them and the chaos on Hermitcraft. In the end, he was more upset that Joel revealed the ruse.
It happened at the monthly hermit meeting for December when Joel asked “ Pearl, G are you joining me and Lizzie for holidays this year,”
To which they responded with “Yes,”
Then Joel asked “Grian is your spouse joining us”
And Grian responded with “Well besides the fact he usually does join yes— wait JOEL SMALLISHBEANS-SHADOW WHAT DID YOU JUST DO”
“I JUST ASKED IF YOU HUSBAND WAS JOINING US—wait SHIT SORRY”
Grian then heard the chatter of “Wait he’s married” or “ I thought he liked Scar” or “Poor scar”
He subtly gave his husband a look that said “You ready for this” and said “ Joel, it’s fine but you owe me later but anyway, this ruse has been going on for way too long”
Scar then spoke up “You guys say poor Scar, Songbird you want to show them,”
Grian pulled a chain from his neck revealing a ring and Scar pulled a matching one
A “I'm sorry what the hell is happening here” came from a very confused Cleo
The Grian said “ There’s a reason why I don’t use my last name for anything I took my husbands, and that would have been a dead giveaway, but as I only ever introduced myself with my first name I guess I'll do this now, Grian Xequla Goodtimes, former Admin of the Evolution's server at your service”
Scar then interjected with “My husband of at least 10 years”
Cub then exclaimed “1. That took way to fucking long, 2. It’s been 11 years, 3. Pearl you owe me diamonds”
To which the hermits bursted out into a chorus of “ YOU KNEW”
Pearl then said “ Of course, he did he was Scar's man of honor I was Grian’s Best Women and Cub I said before new years its before that,”
Joel then apologized for the reveal again saying “ I’m sorry Grian, I know the speech I was given I forgot in my excitement”
To which Grian said “ Joel it’s fine it was going to happen eventually and now I get to be incredibly loving with my husband it worked out but I will be telling the family gc”
