Chapter Text
In a world so dark,
I held your hand.
Only now,
It doesn’t reach you.
I’m sorry, my knight.
Your blood dipped hair,
I cannot touch,
Once black and silky smooth
Now a tangled mess of blood and dirt.
I’m sorry, my moonlight.
Your sunshine has gone,
One quiet noon,
A day once bright,
Now a darkened storm.
I’m sorry, my shadow.
I watch you cry,
And hold me close,
With love, whispering in my ear.
I wish you could see me
Standing next to you.
I’m sorry, my angel.
So close,
So far,
It makes me cry.
I’m never gone
And never there.
I’m sorry, my dear.
I’m forced to watch you cradle me.
My eyes once bright,
A lifeless sight,
As red stains reality.
I’m sorry, my love.
You love me so,
I’ll always know.
A heart forever broken,
But never forgotten.
I’m sorry, my soul.
I cannot speak
And say those lovely words,
That turns people’s worlds.
Now silent and bleak.
I’m sorry, my husband.
I have left you nothing,
And no apology.
