Tanjirou felt his eye twitch for the third time in the last half hour and wondered, vaguely, if he should get Aoi to check that out.
All thoughts left his mind, however, once he laid eyes back on the source of his anxious twitching. Namely, Zenitsu and the girl he was currently talking to. Correction: flirting with.
It wasn’t odd for Zenistu to flirt with girls, no, that was expected. What was out of the ordinary, was that the girl was flirting back.
Tanjirou’s eye twitched again as the girl ran a hand down Zenitsu’s arm and grabbed his hand, lacing their fingers together. Zenitsu turned a bright pink and Inosuke let out a low growl that made Tanjirou jump. Zenitsu turned in their direction at the sound, confused and concerned, and paled at the looks on their faces.
Zenitsu said something to the girl, gently extracted himself, and walked wearily over towards where Tanjirou and Inosuke were seething.
“She said the, uh, demon's been spotted towards the west of the village,” Zenitsu stuttered out, nervous.
The boys set off without another word, Zenistu glancing anxiously between his uncharacteristically silent companions.
