Summary:

claude devises a plan to continue his relationship with dimitri (dimiclaude week day 6-secret/regency au)

Work Text:

Dimitri and Marianne’s carriage arrives in the afternoon.

Claude welcomes them to his and Hilda’s new summer home–an old, but large estate in the Daphnel countryside that once belonged to the late duke. They had spent the better part of a year and a lot of money repairing and cleaning the place, but it had all been worth it in the end. Unlike their house in the capital, nobody would dare bother them in the countryside. And most importantly, its proximity to Faerghus made it the perfect place to spend the summer and get the most out of their little arrangement

After his grandfather’s demise, Claude received the title of Duke and became the most eligible bachelor in Fódlan. But Claude wasn’t interested in marrying any ladies. His heart belonged to Dimitri, with whom he’d been carrying out an illicit affair for a few years, but they both knew it was only a matter of time before they were found out. Coincidentally, his best friend Hilda also carried a torch for her long-time wallflower friend, Marianne. Marianne would have been forced by her father to marry an old lord, had Claude not come up with his plan: Claude would marry Hilda, Dimitri would marry Marianne. Two marriages of convenience in which they were all free to pursue their heart’s true desire.

Claude often thinks that he doesn’t get enough credit for coming up with it. It’s genius, really—to the peerage they were Dimitri and Claude, old friends from school. And their wives, Marianne and Hilda were the closest of friends. Nobody batted an eye when the couples were wed only one week apart, nor when they set off together in a joint honeymoon.

He enjoys Hilda's company and considers her his best friend and confidante, but Dimitri is who his heart belongs to, just as Hilda’s heart belongs to Marianne.

It’s unconventional, but it’s worked surprisingly well so far.

The four of them are in the parlor, enjoying some tea and pastries. Claude has given the staff the rest of the day off, so he's free to sit next to Dimitri and bask in his affections. Dimitri's hand rests over his knee as they discuss the manor's renovation.

”The stables are huge!” Hilda is saying. “We bought so many horses too, would you like to see them, Mari?”

“Oh, yes. I, um–I would love to!” Marianne says.

The pair excuse themselves and they exit the parlor, arm in arm. Claude watches them go with a smile and then turns to Dimitri. “Should we go on a ride as well?”

“As much as I would enjoy that,” Dimitri says. “I think we should grant them some privacy at this moment.”

Claude gives him a roguish smile. “I had a different sort of ride in mind.”

Dimitri almost chokes on his tea.

Later, they crash into Claude’s room upstairs, leaving a trail of discarded clothing. Dimitri kisses him frantically, all hungry mouth and urgent hands. Claude eases Dimitri back into the bed and leans over him, his arousal pressing hard against Dimitri’s.

“Dimitri,” he says, voice hoarse.

“I missed you so much,” Dimitri whispers, his lips wet and parted.

“Me too,” Claude says. He shifts, gets his hand around Dimitri’s large erection and squeezes.

Claude –”

Claude’s got Dimitri in his grip, stroking him and kissing him with unabashed fervor. Dimitri moans into his mouth and thrusts frantically on Claude’s hand with increasingly urgent noises. He comes in Claude’s hand with a muffled cry, Claude’s mouth clamped over his.

When Dimitri's done, he returns the favor by taking Claude into his mouth and sucking, his mouth wet and slick and frantic. His large, calloused hands grip Claude’s ass and tease the tight ring of muscle of his hole and then Claude comes in Dimitri’s mouth with pulsing, quivering joy.

They lay together in a mess of limbs and sweat. Dimitri shifts so he's wrapped around Claude, muscular arms and legs embracing him, his lips against his neck. Claude sighs contentedly and falls asleep in Dimitri's arms, wishing he could stay there forever.
