Chapter Text
“Alright, if you want this place, you’re gonna have to fight for it!” Joker yelled, picking up a crowbar (which are surprisingly common in abandoned buildings in Gotham).
He, Scarecrow, and Riddler had all somehow picked the same abandoned warehouse for their next hideout.
As they argued, a batarang flew at them, narrowly missing Joker’s face, and knocking the crowbar out of his hand, “Ah, Batsy! How nice of you to drop by! Why don’t you come on down here, and you can ‘drop’ in another way!” Joker laughed hysterically, picking the crowbar back up.
“Alright, scumbags. You’re all going back to Arkham.” everyone turned to the door to see Red Hood, with a gun in each hand. “Red Hood? What are you doing here?” Batman asked, still hidden in the shadows.
“Tracking Scarecrow, I have evidence that he was going to release his fear toxin on a police station. What about you?” Red Hood responded, “Tracking joker, I heard almost the same thing about Joker venom.” Batman answered.
“Are you kidding me!? You stole my crime!?” Joker yelled at Scarecrow. “How do you know I didn’t come up with it first!?” Scarecrow yelled back.
“Wait, what did Riddler do?” he continued, “I, uh, I stole a puzzle book.” Riddler answered quietly, looking embarrassed.
“Disappointing.” Scarecrow said, “That is the lamest crime I’ve ever had the misfortune of hearing about.” Joker followed. “Yeah, you gotta get it together, man. You used to be scary.” Red Hood said, “Don’t encourage them.” Batman said, finally coming down from the rafters.
“Alright, that’s enough! Let’s just fight those two, and fight amongst ourselves later!” Riddler yelled.
Batman clenched his chest and fell to the ground.
Joker laughed maniacally, raising his weapon to strike. “That was almost too easy, we– AHH!” he was interrupted by a bright flash of light that nearly filled the warehouse.
There was a metal CLANG, then several THUDs. The world faded to black.
