Chapter Text
He was walking home when it started, an accident. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time, that was it. He should’ve said no and walked away, but he didn’t.
Ponyboy was now 15. Almost a junior in high school, he should be smarter than this, right?
He was walking home from school, not far from the DX, when a truck pulled to the side of the road. A wave of panic hit him but he settled a little when he realized it wasn’t a soc’s car, but the man driving seemed to be mid 20’s, so what would he want with ponyboy?
Pony slowed down, but kept walking, until he heard him call out.
“Hey son come here, just for a second.”
He didn’t seem threatening, even sticking his arm out the window to motion to come closer. Ponyboy approached slowly, still distant from the car, just in case.
“Yessir? Do you need something?”
“How would you like to make some quick money?” The guy flashed his wallet, that was loaded. He grinned and winked at ponyboy.
Ponyboy was a little hesitant, but Darry had just gone on a rant this morning, about concerns for the bills, and having to pick up more shifts. Pony felt bad, he didn’t want his brother to have to work himself to death for him. He walked closer and grinned back,
“Sure, how much we talkin?”
The man grinned even harder, and opened the passenger door, flashing at least 200 dollars. Pony couldn’t believe his eyes, but he wasn’t about to get into a car of a stranger, so he remained skeptical.
“Now why should i trust you?” He squinted and puffed out his chest, trying to look tough.
The man laughed, and said,
“I just need company with a task, and then I’ll let you go, i swear on my life”
He seemed trustworthy enough, and pony really needed the money, that was enough to pay for rent this month, and maybe the next! He looked around in case anyone he knew saw him go into the truck, and stepped in. He sat down and closed the door, and the man started driving away.
pony sunk down in his seat when they passed the DX, not wanting to answer any questions when he got home, if they saw him.
“So what is the task sir? Is it like grocery shopping or something?” He looked over to the man, who has grown quiet.
“Well, I kinda thought you’d get the idea, i mean it’s your job right?” He chuckled and pulled into a small apartment complex, turning off the truck.
“Sorry, but I’m unemployed, i don’t know what you’re talking about.” Pony was confused, but was still willing to help if it meant he got money.
The guy just looked at him and squinted,
“Wait, you are a prostitute, right?”
Pony’s mouth dropped open, he was shocked, that the man thought he even looked like a hooker.
“What!!? No! I’m fifteen!! I’m not a hooker!”
He tried to get out of the car, but the man grabbed his arm,
“Wait! I’ll pay you more! male hookers are hard to come by. And i really need this.”
Ponyboy shoved him off and yelled,
“Get off! I wont have sex with you!!”
The man smashed his lips against pony’s and ran a hand up his shirt. Pony did all he could to try and pry this man off of him, but to no avail.
“You could make a lot of money, you know, you are just gorgeous.”
He kept releasing praises while running his hands down pony’s body.
“You want this”
“You need the money, take it like a good boy”
Pony realized he was right, terrified, he stops fighting, before he knows it the seat is down and he’s become more intimate with this random man. He never thought he’d be this close with a human being, and while it’s happening, he spaces out.
He thinks about the fact that he’s never liked girls as much as soda or two-bit, he was told he’d grow out of it, but he’s never felt that way with anyone before.
Suddenly his clothes are off and his whole body freezes, he’s unsure what to do, and his brain is going a thousand miles per second. Before he can form an escape plan in his head, his body is racked with the worst pain he’s ever experienced. A forbidden part of someone in his body. He hears the man’s groans and it just disgusts him further.
It’s over before he knows it, and the man comes off of him, kissing his face softly, before dressing himself, like nothing even happened. pony looks up at him, and the man looks pleased, but a bit annoyed.
“Here, you’ve been good. If i see you again, and you act better, I’ll give you more”
He winks and throws 200$ on pony’s chest.
Pony blinks and processes what he said,
‘If i see you again’. Pony is unsettled and decides he would never do this again. He feels sick and he must be, because he blinks and suddenly he’s walking back to his house, clothes on, presentable looking with the cash in his pocket.
He has no time to freak out or question anything when he’s already at his house, opening the door to Steve and two bit lounging on the couch, watching tv.
There’s noise from the kitchen, so he assumes one of his brothers is making dinner. On his way to the kitchen he sees Darry’s wallet, and he sticks the cash in it, praying he won’t be questioned.
“Hey pony! Where ya been?” Soda shouts when he enters, putting away groceries as Darry cooks dinner for the five of them, chicken and potatoes. Pony has no time to respond before Darry cuts in,
“If you’re gonna be out late call first.” He keeps his eyes on dinner, clearly annoyed by something.
“Sorry Darry. I didn’t know I’d be this late, i was just…at the library” he fidgeted around, and wondered why he couldn’t just act normal. Maybe this was a really bad dream? Soda must have noticed something was off, because he nudges Darry who looks up with concern, and pauses what he was doing before. “Hey, pony? you ok?” The question came out slow and cautious, making pony uneasy.
“Yeah..yeah. I’m fine, i just uh, had a long day?” He slurs the answer out, suddenly feeling nauseous. He smelled the chicken and suddenly wasn’t hungry anymore.
“Uhm guys i think I’m gonna go to bed.. not very hungry..” pony mumbled as he walked back into the living room, ignoring the concerned stares from his brothers.
“What’s wrong with you?” A rough voice breaks him out of his trance, and he just stares at Steve with no emotion for a while, before shrugging and going to his room. Steve and two bit share a look, then Steve brushes it off. He couldn’t really care what’s got the kids panties in a twist.
Ponyboy laid down in his bed, and didn’t think he’d been so happy to do so ever before. He was exhausted, but horrible memories from the day kept him up, plaguing him with bad feelings. He didn’t even move when soda crawled into bed hours later, thinking pony was asleep, he softly kissed the crown of his head, and slipped into the covers next to him.
Pony shivered, and soda drapes an arm across him in an attempt to warm him up.
Pony relaxed a little, and finally drifted off to sleep, enjoying the comfort of his older brother.
